Chapter 24:

I went to the library after telling Purah that the shopping was put away, I looked at the small yet efficient library that sits off to the side of the main lab section of the building. It consists of most of the wall space, except the kitchen, and two sets of two rows coming off the wall. The lab takes up most of the other space of the lowest floor.

There are smaller bookshelves upstairs on the other floors, each filled with more personalized content according to the person, whose room it is.

The amount of information contained within these bookshelves isn't seemingly much, but it contains a large amount of information, such as peoples' descriptions of certain events, such as the battle of Blatchery plains and the defense of Fort Hateno where the descriptions say how powerful and awe inspiring the holy sealing power of Zelda was.

The information found in the library goes far enough back that it predates the Great Calamity, the information anything from that, to the basic and more complex instructions for ancient sheikah technology. The instructions are pretty much useless as the people don't understand how to create several crucial things, such as rubber and oil and that is why mass production of materials won't work, that and the inability to construct to complicated buildings in short time spans.

I sat at a chair I had while reading a book containing information on the roughly estimated destinations of some of the shrines, I had wanted to see if I could use the shrines or if they had to be activated by Link with the Sheikah Slate. When I thought this, I lifted my shirt to look at the Sheikah symbol I had on my chest, I thought, 'I wonder if this can do anything?'.

I soon finished my book, and when I did, Symin was making dinner. The scent of the curry made my stomach grumble, I made my way to the kitchen, and asked Symin, "Do you need help with anything?"

"No, not really, you can go sit at the table, it'll be done in a while." Symin said in response as he continued to cook, "But, can you help clean the dishes afterwards?"

"Sure, I can do that." I said before I walked away towards the table and cleared it down. After setting the table I picked a book out of my inventory and sat at the table, I proceeded to read until dinner was finished and Symin started to plate the curry.

After we finished up the meal and I helped wash the dishes, I walked outside and placed a mat on the ground before going to meditate and go over my progress from my last checkup. I had improved with my Magnesis rune quite substantially, I was now capable of feeling out individual metals from a mix, although they must be in higher quantities.

I had also made some progress with the Cryonis rune, I could now choose the direction of ice when formed, as before I could only makes ice in a cone around myself.

I made reasonable progress with my ability to sense blood, I could do it as far as 15 meters, though the further the distance, the more concentration required and it's far more difficult to sense through walls.

I meditated on the mat until the sun had completely gone down. I stood up with a small wobble, the blood rushing to my head, I picked up and rolled the mat before storing it away into my inventory.

I looked at the moon hanging in the sky, clouds billowing and dancing, I took a deep breath and did a few stretches before turning around and heading back inside.

Once inside I walked over to the library and picked out a book that was filled with legends of the past incarnations of the one who wields the sword that seals the darkness, or namely, Link. It was poorly organized and made little sense most of the book. But it did describe a bit from each of the main timelines, my head was twisted in confusion.

"Breath of the Wild was at the end of all timelines. This is going to be a headache to deal with later if I try to ponder which timeline its in." I mumbled to myself quietly. I soon finished the book, even though it was a mess, it was very informative of the past lives of Link.

I took a moment to think about trying to find the EX treasures, these are all relics from across the multiple timelines, maybe some of them won't be there, or maybe… they're all here. That made me think, 'What if this is when all timelines blend into one.'

"Hmm… That, is an interesting thought, what if that has something to do with my appearance in Hyrule, or more specifically in Breath of the Wild?" I fell further and further into thought, while continuing to mumble out loud.

"Joseph? Joseph, are you okay? You have sitting there and mumbling about timelines for a while now." Symin said worriedly, knocking me out of my momentary lull. I looked up and saw the confused and worried look on Symin's face, when doing so I also noticed Purah giving me the same look.

"Yeah I'm fine… Just got so caught up in my book and the possible ways it could turn out *Awkward laugh*." I said before realizing I had no book in my hands. Blushing brightly, I got up and said, "Well you know I should get to bed. Good night." I said before I rushed off to my bedroom.

As soon as I got into the room, I closed the door behind me, and sat on the ground and sighed in exasperation, before I got up and lied on my bed. I looked at the blue flame on the bed side table and stared into the flames as my feeling cooled down I looked away and prepared to sleep, and before long I fell into a deep sleep.

The last emotions on my mind was being tired… Just tired, wait that's not correct. I was filled with the feeling of homesickness, being tired, and concern for my future and as all those emotions melded together I fell into a deep sleep.
