Cliche

"You two ready?" Madelyne asked her two children.

Lazily sitting on the couch was Calvin. He looked bored while he's playing something on his phone and was already prepared. When he heard his mom, he said, "Just waiting for you guys."

While Marilyn is busy looking for her phone, glasses, earphones, things that she usually brings outside, she shouted, "Just a few more minutes!"

Madelyne sighed. "Just hurry up a bit ok?"

"Yeah!" Marilyn shouted again as she continued on doing her thing.

After a few minutes of looking around the house and with the help of her younger brother, Marilyn got all the the things that she wanted.

Now that the three were all prepared, they got out of the house and walked towards their car. It was just a simple family car, the kind that you would see on the road almost everytime.

"I'll take the front seat." Calvin said right as Marilyn is about to say something.

Marilyn grumbled. "No! Mine!"

Before she could continue, Calvin already moved and sat down on the front seat. "Nu uh. Last time was your turn so now its my turn."

Marilyn couldn't say anything back so she just said a bit mad. "Uggh fine."

Madelyne who's already sitting in the driver's seat can't help but sigh at the argument between the two. "I still don't get it why you two fight over the front seat when we go out."

"I don't know too. I just want to be here I guess?" Calvin replied without a care in the world.

Hearing the same answer he said when she asked him the exact same question in the pass, Madelyne groaned in annoyance.

After that small episode, the family started driving to the mall famous mall where Calvin bought his helmet.

If you're ever wondering why Calvin didn't drive there on his own when he bought his helmet, its because he didn't like driving when he's the only one using it. He'd much rather take a cab instead so there you have it.

While on the way there, the family talked with each other about many things, from stories from school or work, friends or news coming from the Internet.

The ride wasn't too long as they reached the mall after a few minutes. After parking it, they leisurely entered the mall together.

First thing that the family did was to look around and buy clothes. To be specific, the two enthusiastic women were the ones who were having fun buying clothes while Calvin was forced to begrudgingly follow them around, walking around for hours.

But even if he was bored, something did make up for it. Looking at his beautiful mother and sister trying out clothes is undoubtedly pleasing to anyone's eyes, and this applies for him. Who doesn't appreciate beautiful things especially for someone like him who is 'cultured' in more ways than one.

In fact, the two even got bothered by some "brave" men which the two just ignored and didn't even spare them a glance as they told them to fuck off. Of course not literally but in a more "kind" way.

It was kind of funny for Calvin to see these men trying to get the attention of his mother and sister and he was already used to it long ago.

There was even a somewhat special moment when a fairly handsome middle aged man walked over and talked to Madelyne, or at least tried to as she dodged every single move he tried to her and made all kind of excuses to get far away from him which made the man annoyed as he walked away while saying something under his breath.

What made this special is that Calvin knew the man. He is someone that Madelyne frequently mentions to them whenever she finishes her work. He was a guy working in the same company as hers and for a long time has been trying to chase after her.

He didn't bother remembering his name since even his mom doesn't bother to tell his name to her children. The only thing she bothers to say about him is, "Just a guy who can't keep his dick in his pants."

Calvin can still vividly remember how she told them this for the first time over their dinner and his reaction to it. He ended up choking and had a a coughing fit when he heard it and after that laughed until his stomach started hurting. Even now that moment makes him chuckle to himself.

When Calvin remembered what happened earlier, he suddenly had a thought to himself as he looked at his mother and sister still trying out clothes.

'Its always the time when I'm with them that I get to see cliche moments. But when I'm alone or with my friends nothing really unusual happens. And now that I think about it, mom can really be vulgar sometimes. Not like I hate it though.'

Looking at the back of the man who isn't that far away and is mumbling something to himself, Calvin sneered as he said outloud, "Horny dog."

The man angrily turned around but all he saw is Calvin with earphones on humming to himself while bobbing his head up and down, clearly enjoying some "song".

Seeing that it wasn't Calvin, he looked around and found no one near him so he just turned around but this time much more angrier.

Calvin gave a side glance to the man as he thought with a frown. 'This man is starting to get on my nerves. We always meet him whenever I'm with mom. I'm sure mom notices this too. If he dares to do something, I'll make sure to teach him a lesson.'

He doesn't know whether this man is good at fighting or not thats why even though he knew that the man was up to no good way earlier, he didn't dare think that he could beat him up. At most he would think that he could at least hurt the guy if he dares to do something bad to his mom. That was what he thought in the past.

However, now that he spent some time playing Genesis, he got a boost of confidence since he knew that he could improve his fighting techniques by playing the game.

He didn't forget the possibility though that the guy could be playing the game as well but he's still confident in himself especially when he looks at the slightly chubby body of the man.

The game changed him in some way. He knew that and openly welcomed it since for him who's naturally lacking confidence and decisiveness, this change is what he wanted and needed the most.
