Prologue

In a certain classroom, student were chatting and a teacher enters. They stopped talking and returned to their respective seats.

"We have a new transfer student from Daegu today. His name is Sam Hyun-woo. Welcome him and be nice."

The door to the classroom opens and a tall young man enters whose head is just eight inches away from hitting the door.

Students started chatting about him, but he could clearly hear it.

"Doesn't he look like that actor?"

"What? Haha, no way! Though he is tall and good-looking like him!"

"Hyunwoo, sit next to Jinho."

As soon as the teacher said the name "Jinho," a boy with black hair with glasses at the back stood up.

"I'm Jinho! You can count on me helping him out, sir!" The boy named Jinho smiled while raising his hand.

Hyunwoo walked to the seat beside Jinho while carrying his backpack.

"Yo! I'm Gwan Jin-ho! Nice to meet you, Sam Hyun-woo!" Jinho extended his hand to Hyunwoo as he sat beside him.

"Likewise, Jinho." Hyunwoo shook Jinho's hand while smiling.

"You work out or play volleyball? You got some muscles." A boy from the back suddenly smacked Hyunwoo's shoulder, surprising him.

"No, I played basketball, actually."

"Hmm... I'm Jin Sung-min. Nice to meet you. We're not like one of the popular guys here, but we hope to be good friends with you." Sungmin said, playfully smacking Hyunwoo's shoulder.

"Haha, likewise..." Hyunwoo nervously laughed as he tried getting rid of Sungmin's hand smacking his shoulder.

"I feel like this is going to be a rowdy school year for me..." Hyunwoo gave small glances towards his classmates who were looking at him while chatting with the other students.

Hyunwoo noticed a single navy-blue haired and focused girl on the middle left seat of the classroom. Noticing the paper and book she was writing and looking on, he realized the girl was answering questions from her book ans writing the answers on a paper.

"She looks more normal than all the students here." Hyunwoo stared at her in deep thought as she writes.

After some classes, they decided to go eat lunch. Not knowing who to eat with, Hyunwoo had no choice, but to seat and eat lunch alone until someone smacked his head.

"Hey, what are you doing? We're good friends so we should eat together!"

"That's right! This is a perfect time we can get to know each other."

Hyunwoo turns around to see Sungmin, carrying a tray of food with Jinho behind him.

"Yes. I'd gladly accompany to eat with you both." Hyunwoo smiled, taking his food tray from the table he was supposed to be eating at.

"No, don't take the food tray. We can sit here."

"Oh. I thought you two already had a table."

"No, we just arrived after we got scolded by our dear Math teacher."

"That was because the both of you were sleeping during classes." Hyunwoo added as the two sat in front of him with their lunch.

"Man, I love sausages~" Sungmin finished all of the sausages in his tray within a blink of an eye.

"Hm? You're not eating your sausages, Hyunwoo. You're only eating the kimchi and rice. By any chance, are you vegan?"

"Then, if he's not eating it, can I have it?" Sungmin asked, extending his chopsticks towards Hyunwoo's tray while drooling.

"No, I'm going to eat it. Just saving it for last." Hyunwoo smiled at them while pulling his food tray away from Sungmin who never stopped extending his hand.

"I knew it from the moment I entered the door that I was going to be in for a wild ride."

"Hyunwoo, why'd you transfer here?" Jinho asked, taking Hyunwoo's attention.

"Well, it's because of some family problems."

"Oh? What happened? If you don't mind telling us."

"Ah, my parents died and my older sister from here took me in with our two younger siblings." Hyunwoo smiled at them as he summarized why he transferred.

"Oh... That... That took a dark turn. I hope we didn't make you remember anything bad... We're really sorry." Sungmin and Jinho apologized in a low spirit, making Hyunwoo laugh.

"Haha, no, no. You don't really have to apologize. I actually don't mind if people ask why I transferred here."

"If you say so... But we won't pry any further into those. We might accidentally say something uncomfortable to you."

"Thank you for worrying."

"Anyways, we're going to the internet cafe later. Wanna come play games and eat there with us?"

"No, I actually have to go get my younger siblings from their school and go to my part-time job to at least help my sister with the expenses." Hyunwoo declined their invitation to go to the internet cafe with him.

"Oh... I see. Well, if you have some free time some time and want to go play videogames, just call us. We're experts." Sungmin and Jinho grinned as they started cracking their knuckles.

"Haha, I'll try..."

Hyunwoo could just nervously laugh at his first two friends who both seemed like they have already formed a brotherly bond.

"We need to finish our lunch now. We still have classes." Hyunwoo reminded the two and they started eating once again.

Later on, after classes had finished, Hyunwoo had gone to get his younger siblings from their pre-school.

When he finally arrived, he saw the same navy-blue haired girl from his class on her phone and seemed to be waiting for someone.

"You... how long are you going to follow me?" The same girl approached him without looking at him.

"Huh? I-I don't think I know what you're talking about." Hyunwoo stuttered and started sweating profusely as she glared daggers at him.

"You've been following me since I walked out of the school campus."

"No, I'm just here to get my younger siblings home with me."

"Oh." She just stood there dumbfoundedly, realizing she had just misunderstood it.

"Sorry, I guess. That was on my part."

"No, it's alright. I respect it, actually. You're very cautious of your surroundings."

"I don't know if that's a compliment, but I think it is and I thank you for it."

"Ah, right. I'm Kim Hye-jin. From the same class as you and I didn't really have the time to introduce myself to you since I was busy with answering all of the questions in our mathbook. Nevertheless, nice to meet you, Sam Hyun-woo." The navy-blue haired girl named "Hyejin" has finally introduced herself to Hyunwoo.

"Yes. Nice to meet you as well." Hyunwoo gave her a small smile.

"But did they give us a math homework?"

"No, I'm just answering them in advance so I can just copy my answers onto the questions."

"That makes sense." Hyunwoo nodded as he started thinking of doing the same in other books since math was the worst enemy he could face in school.

Suddenly, two small voices calling out for Hyunwoo's name was heard from inside. Two twins who looked very similar ran to Hyunwoo and hugged him.

"Are you two ready to go home? Have you checked if you're missing anything?" Hyunwoo asked his two younger siblings and they did check their bags.

"No, we have everything here and we're ready to go."

"Then let's get going now."

"I'll get going now, Kim Hyejin."

"Just call me Hyejin. See you tomorrow."

"Yes. See you tomorrow as well."

The twins grabbed both of Hyunwoo's hands and they walk away as Hyejin watched Hyunwoo.

"He seems like a nice guy... Maybe Junghoo would like to have a brother like him... Wait, what was I thinking?" Hyejin watched the siblings walk away while they chat together.

"Noona!"

Another small voice was heard outside and a boy who had the same navy-blue hair as Hyejin walked out.

"Let's get going now?" Hyejin asked, taking her little brother's bag while smiling.

"Yeah! Listen, I made two new friends today. They're both twins and it's the first time I made friends with twins!"

"Oh? That's great, Junghoo. You're a really friendly kid and you should remain the same."

"It's them over there!" Junghoo pointed at Hyunwoo and his two siblings.

"Huh? You and the other guy seem to have the same uniform. Are you classmates?" Junghoo asked with a curious look on his face.

"Yes, we are. Isn't that even greater? Your classmates are my classmate's siblings."

"Look normal to me—" Junghoo was cut off by Hyejin who immediately knew what he was about to say.

"Let's just go home. You still have that cartoon show you want to watch, right?" Hyejin nervously laughed, ending the conversation.

"Ah! That's right! It's almost showing! I almost forgot because of how fun school was today!" Junghoo panicked as he pulled his sister's hand, so the two of them could head home now.

Meanwhile, Hyunwoo walks with his younger siblings, asking about how their day went until the youngest, Eunjae spoke up about Hyejin.

"Your girlfriend?"

"What?" Hyunwoo looked at her with visible confusion on his face.

"The girl earlier. Is she your girlfriend?"

"What? No. She's just a classmate and that was the only time we talked."

"Figures. Jeongsoo noona said you'd never get a girlfriend." Jiseok, the second youngest joins the conversation.

"We don't talk... about that. Especially in public places." Hyunwoo let out an awkward laugh while they continue walking.
