You'll Be All Right

"You'll be all right, son. You'll be all right." His parents muttered as they reached out their bloody hands to wipe the tears streaming down his face.

Those words repetitively rang in Hajime's head, and somehow, they gave him the strength to wake up from the hellish nightmare. He had only been unconscious for a few seconds when he should've been at death's door after all the injuries incurred on him.

'Of course, I'll be all right. I've never been better.' Hajime thought to himself. Because his face was swollen, his eyes had already deformed into slits, and he could barely see what was happening in front of him. He did recognize Shelly and the others standing in front of Megumi. For some reason, they were shielding Megumi from something.

That's when his gaze landed on Ricardo, who had been stepping on his right hand all this time. Wearing a murderous expression, he aimed a gun at Shelly, coaxing her to let Megumi go as if she was holding Megumi hostage. The irony.
