55 Deceived.

Sakura sneakily looked around the place while being dragged by "sir."

'This whole place really does look like a normal village, maybe even to the degree of a town.'

Sakura sees how the children run around playing together. The adults working or talking between each other. She as well notice how they watch and stare at her being dragged by the man, how they looked at her with scorn and jealousy because they believed she was chosen to be one of the vessels for their lord and his higher ups.

Sakura looks down at the ground with a merciless gaze.

'They need to be erased. There is no saving them from the life they grew up in. They would want to avenge their homes after rescue comes and destroys their lords alter. All the mercy given to them will be returned with a merciless stab from all sides.'

She remembers the future that came from letting them go just because they lived like normal civilians in this town, the brats will grow with hatred because of their parents words and they will be filled with the need to avenge their home that they grew up in.

'Destroy everyone and everything before they do any harm.'

Before she can make sure of that thought she noticed from the corner of her eyes a group. She turns and sees a young girl happily swinging her hands, each side held by a boy. Sakura can tell they were a group of siblings. She watched that even if they held an appearance of being annoyed of watching over their sister, they still made sure to keep her safe between them.'

The image overlapped with that of her being with her own brothers in her other life. Of them always arguing yet she knew that they will be there to protect her.

'.... what the hell was I thinking of doing!?'

Sakura felt shame and fear of where her thoughts went. She shivered at the thought she was going to try her best to erase them all.

'It was how they were raised! They shouldn't die just because of that, it isn't even their fault!'

"What are you doing? Move!"

Sakura stopped moving along so Sir pulled even harder, which caused her to trip and fall on her wound.

"Sss-"

She ended up hissing in pain and already feels the dirt scraping over her wound, it aches and burns.

"Get up!"

He pulls her arm making her stand up, but with a wobbly balance. He began his way again and didn't seem he would forgive her if she wasted any more of his time, so she hurriedly followed but with a limp in her steps.

Before she worried that he would snap at her again, they already arrived at the front of a building. It almost appears as it was a normal store like place. But Sakura felt that it must be more than that if he stopped right in front of it.

"Sir!"

A young man opens the door and allows the man to enter, he glances down in confusing seeing Sakura with his leader but he wouldn't dare question it when he saw the other man's expression.

"Call Rolan and all those who went to this mission."

"Y-Yes Sir!"

The man was even more bewildered being told to leave his post to get the others. Normally their leader wouldn't leave this place unprotected but seeing as sir entered the building the young man thought that.

'Since sir is entering, there is no needed guard outside then.'

He realized that and did not think anything else of Sirs actions and just headed out with the thought of getting those who were out with sir on the mission.

Sakura didn't have time to care about the guards expression. She was dragged right in. However, when she took a closer look inside she saw the interior was plain and looked like a normal office building.

He drags Sakura to the room that was just in the end of the hallway. He reached into his breast pocket and took out a key. The key was small, different from any other keys Sakura has seen for the usual locked rooms. But a click indicated the door open and he entered while shoving Sakura to a corner.

"Don't move or else."

After he threated with a glare he went toward the desk that seemed to be his, since with the same key he opened a drawer that was locked.

Sakura couldn't see what was in there since she was at the corner away from view. But she listened to the sounds and can hear paper rustling here and there and a few clinks, as if bottles are bumping into each other.

Before Sakura can think what's inside, she saw him remove a file of some sort and one vial that may have been what was making those noises.

'Papers and a.... vial? Why we enter here for those things?'

Sakura glance at the file and wanted to see if there was any writing that can decipher what was inside of it but nothing could be seen.

Before she can take a closer look there was a sudden knock in the door which prompted her to stand straight and stare at the wall.

"Enter!"

The young guard that left came back. His heavy breathing indicated that he ran to get his tasks done.

"The... They are here Sir."

"Take them to the main meeting area. Do not let any of them out of your sight."

"Yes Sir!"

When he finished with giving his orders and the young man left to follow his command the man turn to Sakura. She quickly gave him the gaze of a frightened child with a bit of tears in her eyes.

"We will head in the room where they all are and you will point out all those who were in that room when you met them. Understand."

"B-But-"

"Do you understand!?"

He rose his voice when he heard her talk back and took a menacing step toward her in threat.

She quickly nodded her head with her eyes shut in fear. Her whole figure trembling. However, contrary to her outer appearance, her mind is celebrating.

'Hahaha! I should be an actress if I end up being tossed to the side again. I can make a living out of this.'

Sir reached out and began to pull her again, almost causing her to fall to the floor again. However she quickly steadied herself when she took notice of his sudden actions.

'Oi bastard! Learn to be delicate with a kid dammit! I already feel that a bruise will form all over my arm that is being pulled by you.'

Sakura grinded her teeth in annoyance but kept her head down so her expression wouldn't be noticed.

"Sir!"

Again her location changed to that of a a room that was spacious, enough for a large group of 20-30 people to be there. There was tables with maps and papers spread around it and locations that seem to be marked, but Sakura couldn't read the writing because she was too far to read it.

The room was already occupied by a number of people, maybe 20 or so, including Zay and Ronald.

Zay looked at Sakura and squinted his eyes when he saw her limp toward them, he did a quick glance to her arm which was grabbed by Sir and can see the strong grip he has on her.

He was angry that in just a few minutes. Not even 20 minutes passed that she ended up even in a worse shape that she already was in. But he knew he shouldn't say anything now, or else whatever Sakura was planning would go to waste.

"Is everyone here!"

"Yes Sir."

All the people there answered and he had the guard quickly shut the door.

"I would like everyone here to give all your weapons to the guard here."

"Yes sir!"

The people in the room were confused with the sudden meeting, even more when the first order of his was to hand over their weapons. However they knew not to go against his orders and to trust his judgment. So each and everyone in the room handed their weapons over.

Sir noticed that Zay was going to hand his weapons over as well and had a moment of thought. He then stopped Zay.

"Except for Zay. He would be allowed to hold his weapons. Zay, stand beside me for now."

Everyone there was even more shocked by what they heard and felt something wrong is happening. They felt a feeling of foreboding when they heard Sir call for Zay to stand beside him.

"What's happening?"

"Why does Zay, of all people end up keeping his weapons."

A few of those in the back whispered in bewilderment but quickly stopped when seeing a glare directed their way.

Both Ronald and the man named Roy turn and glared daggers at those behind.

But both men shared a look of worry after. Even if they normally begin to argue and even fight each other, they felt a sense of understanding when they saw their leaders actions.

"I have information."

Everyone looked back to see sir and felt sweat pour down their backs when they noticed his expression.

"We have a traitor.... no, multiple traitors to our master! To our home! To our cause!!"

Sir roared in anger in the last part and glared at each and everyone of the men there.

They all understood his anger and boiled in anger as well. They began to suspect those beside them and began to distance themselves from them but stopped when sir yelled out again.

"Do not move! Or I would have Zay cut you down for just moving an inch from your spot!"

"Sir!"

The one who spoke first was Ronald. He seemed confused but adamant to speak out.

"If there is a traitor than forgive me to say this, but Zay is even more of a suspect than any of us. Why does he keep his weapon and stand beside you? He isn't even on our side fully from free will."

"Silence!! If I haven't known the truth I would have actually listened to those words and find sense in them believing that you meant the good of our people, yet I would not allow myself to be fooled any longer!"

"Sir?"

"Zay! Hold Ronald down. If he dares to resist then kill him."

"Wa-!?"

Before Ronald could even fight back Zay fist went straight to his gut. Ronald grunted in pain and hunched over with a loss of air.

Zay used the opportunity to grab Ronald's arm and twisted behind him and pushed his knees making him fall to the floor and then Zay pushed his face pushed right on the floor to keep him down.

Right before Sakura who was beside Sir, she saw how Zay effortlessly pushed Ronald to a bowing position with his face all over the floor. She had to hold back a satisfied smile when she saw Ronald's ugly mug on the dirty floor where it belonged.

'Serves you right bastard! You deserved that for slapping Adaline.'

"Sir! There must be a misunderstanding!"

The one who spoke wasn't Ronald but the one called Roy. He took a step forward in protest. Looking toward the other man with pleading eyes.

Sir looked at him in suspicious then a look of realization drew on him, to only be left with a gaze of disappointment and despair.

The moment Roy saw the changes in Sir's expression his eyes widen in fright and he began to shake his head with a pale complexion.

"Sir. Whatever you are thinking please recon-"

"You and Ronald always argue like arch nemesis whenever you both meet. Yet the first one to defend him was you Roy. Was it a slip up from having your partner in crime discovered?"

"Wait! Fath-"

"SIR!! You call me Sir in the presents of others. Especially now."

Sir glared with pure disappointment and anger.

'Oh shit..... This guy was his son!?'

Sakura switched gazes to both sir and the one called Roy. She remembered that he was the one who was with both the sir and maid in the forest.

"Was this why you were so adamant in Rane being the traitor, knowing that she wasn't? You made her take the fall for you to hide that you were the traitor."

"No! I would never betray my home! My lord! Especially never would I betray you!"

Roy kneeled toward Sir and begged with his eyes. A moment of hesitation approach Sirs heart, but it quickly dissapeared after Sakura spoke a few words.

"The man who told me Rane and the bag was someone who seemed to dislike her very much, he was covered in a hood but I remember his voice sounds just like this guy."

Sakura looked in worry at Roy, as if scared something would happen to him so she whispered to herself, but made it loud enough for Sir and Roy to hear it.

The look in Sir's face grew a few degrees more ferocious.

"She is lying!! I have never once spoken to her!!!"

"Then why would she knew your dislike of Rane!? How would she know that you held such feelings toward Rane!?!"

Sir took a step toward Roy, his hands in a fist ready to throw a punch.

"I swear!! I would never do such a thing! Even if she was the reason mother died I still wouldn't have betrayed you just for revenge!"

'Ohhh~ we got some family drama in here. Looks like I don't have to do much more to ruin this father and son relationship.'

"You still believe in such a thing!? Rane had nothing to do with your mother. Your mother killed herself because she was weak."

A look of bewilderment filled Roy. He forgot his fear and stood right back up and took steps closer to his father.

The young guard grew weary and began to step closer to the men but stopped when Sir signaled him.

"Because mother was weak? You know the truth of mothers death! That bitch told mother of your affair with her and rubbed it all over her face! Mother was already of bad health, she was always bedridden. Where do you think she got the poison when she never once stepped out of the house!!"

Roy poured all his anger and hatred to his father, who he always looked up as the leader of their town, the hero everyone looked up to. He always held a grudge against his father but never revealed it until today.

It may be from the situation driving him into a corner, or maybe because he sensed his father wouldn't think twice to kill him, so this may be the last thing he wished no regrets on.

Sakura looked at this man and felt a sense of pity for him. Looking at him confronting his father of his mother situation reminded her of a moment of one passed Sakura doing the same against her own father when she discovered he gave the position of a concubine to Rose's mother.

'Ah.... That moment drove that Sakura to kill herself before the "game" could progress any further.'

Those memories of that time flowed through her head when she looked at this father and son duo.
