Father and Son.

Minato opened his eyes as he felt clenched his jaws holding back the scream of pain that came with his body slowly and painfully reforming.

{Are you an Idiot? or a masochist?} Asked Kurama from his perch on the little hill.

"I hope you are having fun Kurama. I promise you I will find a way to kill you one of these days" Said Minato as he stood in the crater which was significantly bigger now.

Kurama grinned

{I am waiting, Minato. For the day when you finally stop holding back. Now I hope you know how to swim}

Water started pouring in from the holes with the force of a fire hydrant which left Minato with quite a few painful bruises in areas that shall not be named.

After the crater turned lake was filled Minato surfaced gasping for air yet unable to stand on its surface like he usually could. The chakra laced in the water prevented any foreign chakra from stabilizing but he could expel chakra in massive quantities for short bursts of speed when underwater.

{I really hope you can swim Minato} Said Kurama as he stared at Minato's floating head which was shooting daggers at him.

Minato cursed. Kurama grinned.

{You were having trouble with the foxes so this will have to do. Your task...} Paused Kurama as several multi-colored fish jumped to the surface

{...Find the golden fish and bring it to the door IF you wish to meet your son} said Kurama as he was replaced with a giant hourglass.

Minato glared at the hourglass for a second before taking a deep breath and diving underwater.

<In Konoha>

"What?" Asked an utterly confused Naruto.

Hiruzen sighed and rubbed his temples he was having a hard time trying to explain the theory behind shadow clones to the little blond.

"If I may Hokage Sama?" asked an ANBU who materialized behind Naruto who turned to look at him in surprise.

"Go ahead, Inu." Said the Hokage.

"Naruto-Kun do this * Makes a ram seal* and this *Makes a serpent seal* and this *Makes a tiger seal* and imaging making a copy of yourself and go 'poof' and you will be making something cool." said Inu.

"Really?" asked a skeptical Naruto.

"Really now go ahead try" encouraged Inu.

Naruto did those signs and *Poof* a copy of him appeared in front of him which caused both of them to look at each other in surprise before the clone *pop*ed.

"SOOOOO COOOLLLLLLL! Ne Inu-nii can you teach me how to make it last longer?" asked the overly excited blond.

"Remember that warm fuzzy feeling when you went 'poof'?" Asked the ANBU ruffling the blond's head.

Naruto thought for a second before nodding furiously.

"Before you make those signs gather as much of that feeling as you can and make only one copy of yourself and it will last a long time"

"Alright!" Said Naruto as he closed his eyes and began to concentrate chakra oozing and surrounding him in arcs of blue and *POOF*.

The entire office was filled with smoke which forced the ANBU to open the windows letting the smoke flow out.

Once the smoke was cleared the Hokage saw Naruto happily talk with his clone.

"Jiji! Look! There are two of me!" yelled both Narutos excitedly.

Hiruzen smiled.

"Why don't you go home? Your dad should be here soon"

Both of them nodded vigorously before running out of the door which was followed by a loud *THUD* and

"I AM FINE BUT THE SHO-SHADOW CLONE IS GONE! I WILL SEE YOU TOMORROW JIJI!"

Hiruzen just shook his head and sighed.

<Later that evening, In Naruto's Mindscape>

"Why do you smell like fish?" asked Naruto as his face contorted in displeasure.

"Kyuubi here likes to put me in all sorts of situations, This time I had to swim in a lake and catch a fish." explained Minato with hidden rage.

"Anyway did you learn the shadow clone?"

Naruto nodded excitedly and was about to say something when Minato interrupted again causing him to pout.

"Good can you go back and perform it? But this time instead of your shape think of it in mine okay?" Said Minato smiling.

Naruto nodded and did as he was told. He concentrated hard and used up nearly all of his chakra and made a shadow clone.

And when the smoke cleared a smiling Minato was standing in front of Naruto who promptly hugged the adult with enough force to nearly pop him.

"How was your day Naruto?" Asked Minato after Naruto calmed down.

"It was great I met Hinata-chan she has weird white eyes and blue hair and is really shy, so no one talks or plays with her but she is so kind and..." Naruto droned on and on about his day and the people he met while Minato made a shadow clone that teleported to the Third Hokage.

The Third was waiting for his successor and was not surprised when said individual simply appeared in his office.

"Good evening Hokage-sama"

"Drop the formalities Minato take a seat we have much to discuss"

Minato Nodded and sat on the chair.
