Unforeseen Consequences(1)

The everlasting breeze connected to one's psyche touched the people's skin and moved elegantly. Anyone who is present will only see nothing but a void, devoid of color or light. Without light, there is no color, and without light, there can be darkness, only nothingness, only a void.

Within the world of pure darkness, a lone individual can be seen in the center of it.

Standing there was none other than Rodeo.

Before losing consciousness, the last thing he remembered was being kicked in the face by Heisenberg, before everything went dark in his eyes until he found himself here. Now whether he was dreaming inside his head, an effect from his PTSD, or something else entirely, he wasn't sure, but he knows that this has never happened to him before, even when he was stuck on the infirmary with the most serious injuries and would go into a non-responsive state back in the Scp world.

"Well, this is just fine and dandy. I'm far away from home, stuck in the Resident Evil universe, almost getting killed by a unique set of individuals and an army of Lycans, and I have no idea when SCP-507 will return or he won't at all, so basically I'm stuck. What's next? An all-out zombie invasion from another dimension? I have no idea anymore."

Sighing underneath his breath, Rodeo sits down on the ground of the dark void, and thinks.

'I hope the rest are doing well. I even had to read Abby's bedtime story with Michelle after the mission, but I won't be there anytime soon. Looks like Michelle will handle it, and I need to find something to compensate Abby... Michelle."

Then he thought about Michelle which was... odd for him, since he always viewed her as a friend, and yet he was thinking about her mostly. Her nice and calm voice, her happy attitude which can lead to an angry one and getting violently hit with a wrench, which happened once, her joy in trying to make as many memories with him and the rest of the team as possible, she was a person Rodeo can understand and sympathize with after learning what happened to her in the past following the D4C attack...

Then there was the unexpected kiss she gave him on the cheek back at Mount Foraker. Was it out of worry? Was it a good luck charm? Was it made of... love? Rodeo then held his cheek where the kiss was and sighed.

"I'm still not sure what this is really. but it just feels... nice." He added, his cheeks blushing red.

"Life can get very interesting as time passes, either for the better or for the worse." Said a male voice that echoes within the void.

"Nani?!" Rodeo immediately stood up and took a fighting stance against the unknown newcomer, "Who are you? Are you our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Show yourself!"

Looking around the void, Rodeo tries to search for the unknown person speaking, but stops when he spots a pair of green eyes peering at him from the darkness.

"Come on out. I got Mr. Lefty and Mr. Righty also known as my left and right fist ready to take you out if you try to fuck with me!" Rodeo shouted, raising his fists in an outboxer stance.

"Expected of your such behavior, Mr. Rodeo."

Stepping out of the darkness, the person with green eyes revealed himself, causing Rodeo's expression to change to shock and horror.

"No... No! No! No! Why in the name of the Infinity Gauntlet are you here?!"

"Rodeo, the Killer Queen in the flesh," The man in the business suit said in a slow yet calm tone with an odd, morose, and somewhat stafiled manner. "Or may I address you as... Mr. Rodrickson?"

"Please don't call me by my last name, G-man. And why are you here?"

"...You know, I once said some certain words to a certain person once, 'The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.'" The man with pair of green eyes, who turned out to be none other than G-man himself, said, ignoring Rodeo's question.

"...Just, what do you want?"

"Before we get to that, do you know why I'm really here?"

"No."

"You see, me and the employers are aware of your and your friends' arrival in the SCP universe, and we have dealt with and even know the ones who made the helmets and other items for you all."

Rodeo was taken aback by this sudden revelation as he exclaimed, "Really?! Then tell me!"

"A Crow."

"A Crow? You've gotta be more specific than that."

"Oh, Mr. Rodeo, if I just explain outright who this crow is, the mystery behind this hint and the effort involved in figuring it out yourself will ruin the... fun of it."

"Fine, at the very least, tell me why you're here?"

"...You shouldn't be in this universe."

"And?"

"And, as a result of you arriving in this universe, my employers are afraid a multiverse invasion might start if you remain here longer, and you will create new enemies for yourself and the SCP world."

"Does it involve the Scarlet King & the hell dimension, Whitesnake, Wonder of U and D4C?"

"Even they, and especially you, will make new more enemies from different dimensions that will ally together to oppose you."

"Then tell me who they are?"

"I will, if you work for us. You see, we've seen how you work, and understand your motivations, you believe peace and happiness are possible in a dark world, and you may be correct, but the more good deeds you do, Mr. Rodeo, the more evil will follow you to erase those good deeds, just as D4C did when he attacked Site-17 and took away the Stand arrow."

"So you're gonna tell me who they are if I work for you?"

"Yes, and as an extra bonus, we will assist you and your friends in returning home... to the real world. As humans. For real, once you've completed certain tasks for us against these enemies and the Scarlet king, as well as dealing with that crow."

"Then... What about Amelia and the rest?"

"They belong to the Scp world, not yours, Mr. Rodeo. They will live their lives in that dark world and move on from you all eventually."

Rodeo considered it carefully. He could take the job and set his friends free from their Stand forms, preventing a multiversal invasion, and find out who gave them the Stand helmets in the first place, but that means working with a man like him whose motivations are still unknown to this day, and to which even the Half-life community has no answers, and... leaving Amelia and the rest behind to the dark and cold world of the SCPs.

"Your offer is good and all, G-man... but I refuse. I'm not leaving Amelia and the rest behind the SCP world's madness, not yet and not ever, I don't know who these enemies you speak of are, but I'll deal with them my way rather than you and your employer's way."

"So you want to take the long, painful, and difficult road rather than what I'm giving to you... just for them?"

"...You're goddamn right."

"There will be unforeseen consequences for this and it will drive you to the point of insanity." G-man forewarned.

"My man, I went on an insane trip the day that crash happened, and it's still burned in my head. I will make sure that the SCP world improves, and I will stop the Stand factions, the Scarlet King, and the hell dimension without being your damn slave."

"Hmm… very well then. If you're ready for the set of events that are about to unfold as a result of your presence here, then good luck, Mr. Rodeo. We'll meet again from time to time."

Snap!

Just a snap of his finger, a door opens beneath Rodeo's feet...

"Oh, you son of a lunatic."

Then he falls into the open door just as it closes, leaving only complete silence throughout the entire unending nothingness, with G-man standing in there with an indifferent look.

"'The right man in the wrong place can make all the differences in the world.'" G-man smirks as he chuckles, "Let's see what differences you'll make in your journey to get back home, Mr. Rodeo." he said as his pale green eyes glowed within the darkness of the void before disappearing without a trace.
