The Incoming Chaos

 – In a Hospital, Somewhere in America - 7:40 AM –

Jack Barton, the Stand user of 'Ride Me to Hell' was in a hospital and was heading towards a ward room. As he stops in front of it, he takes a deep breath and opens it, only to see a woman somewhere in her 30's and wearing a green hospital gown. She had dark brown hair tied up in a bun and had emerald green eyes and pale skin and an oxygen mask on her mouth for breathing.

"Martha?"

Martha looked at the door to see Jack.

"Darling. Your back." She said in a Southern American accent.

Jack took a chair and sat next to her bed, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine just you know, having some difficulty in breathing from time to time, but I ain't going down that easily."

Jack laughed at the last line, "Well I did marry one hell of a wife who doesn't want to go down that easily."

They both laughed and then he asked.

"Is Jake here?"

Martha sighs, "No, but when he does come here I see him exhausted every time due to work."

"He's our son, Martha. Even though I told him that the work will be hard, he still wanted to do it... for you. To see you get better. We both want to see you get better, Martha. Because we're family."

Then, the door opened, revealing to be a boy who was 19 years of age. He was wearing a red short sleeved shirt and light blue pants. He had pale skin and had dark brown hair much like Martha and had dark orange eyes much like Jack.

"Dad, your back." He too said in an American southern accent.

Jake approached his father as he hugged him and Jack hugged his son back. Martha smiled on seeing this.

"Forgetting someone?"

Jack and Jake break from the hug, Jake then hugs her and she hugs him back. For a moment, they break from the hug.

"I'm glad to see both of you here. It really makes me happy. So Jake, how's your job going?"

"It's going great. Sure the pay isn't big but I'm working hard to get money, but... Mom, I don't want to see you like this everytime I come here."

Martha gave a small smile, "Jake, I know you want to help me, but I need you to take things slowly rather than quickly. Seeing you exhausted, it worries me."

"Your mother's right, Jake. Take some break from work for now." Jack said.

"And the money?"

"I'll handle that part myself. Tell your boss to give you a few days off."

Jake sighs, "Ok Dad."

Jack smiles and pats him on the back and the three continue their family conversation. Not until Jack's phone starts ringing.

"Hold on. I need to take this." Jack left the two as he went for the door. As he stood outside, he picked up the call.

"Hello?"

[Bonjour, Jack. How's your family doing?]

"They're... doing great. But seriously though why are you calling me now?"

[It seems the Foundation has brought more Human Stands to Site-19 according to Alvin.]

"So?"

[So I'm just informing you. But meet me at the warehouse at 9:00 AM. We'll go through the plan one more time.]

Jack looked at his family who were chatting and smiling. Jack let's out a smile and then looks away and continues to speak on the phone.

"Can we even trust your client, Spy?"

[For now, you have to. But if things do go south with our client even after we give him the target and the Arrow... then we take out our client and steal the money, quite simple really. And I'm telling you this from experience.]

"So that's your only back-up plan if things go downhill?"

[Yes, mon ami.]

"Alright, I'll meet you at the warehouse then."

As the call ends, Jack then approaches his family and announces them.

"I gotta go. Duty calls."

"When will you be back?" His wife asked.

"Depends how long the boss will keep me working. But don't worry, I'll be back. I promise." Jack kisses his wife on the forehead before facing his son, "Take care of your mother."

"I will."

Jack pats him on the head and leaves the room. While Jack was walking down the hallway, he thought to himself.

'Just need to do this one perfectly and get the money. I know I'm taking the wrong way but what choice do I have? I just want to see her back in good shape.... and not lose her. I just can't. Family is everything. And I'm ready to go down this road.'

Jack lets out a sigh and heads for the elevator and enters it as it starts going down.

– Cafeteria, Site-19 - 8:00 AM –

The Stand gang were in the cafeteria, chatting with each other while sitting next to a table. Jeff was mostly silent, still having the whole 'Can't trust them' thing. Also regarding Krieg's yellow bulbs that were on his fist. They were all removed by the foundation scientists and were taken for testing, so pretty much they didn't have to worry about the virus.

"Wait. Wait. Your bulbs grow back every five hours?" Miguel questions.

[Yeah. After I lost one of my bulbs back at..... Germany, it grew back very slowly. Five hours later it was there again.] Sane Krieg said.

"Well at least we're safe for the next five hours." Rodeo said.

(A/n: Ok, just to be clear since Purple Haze showed up once only in JoJo and there's not too much info regarding him, sooo the whole bulbs growing back after five hours is my idea, just to make it fair and simple for my story.)

"I do want to ask you something, Krieg. How did you get the Stand helmet?" Evan asked.

[We were just walking around Pandora, searching for loot and doing some jobs for the crimson raiders as usual. Then we came across a bandit lord and pretty much cut his head off and blasted his entire gang to oblivion. We we're looking through his stash and found a helmet. We were going to use it for target practice, then suddenly a purple gas came out of it and swallowed us, the next thing we knew we were in Germany. At least that's what Carson said where we were.]

"WE ARE STILL FAR FROM MAYHEM!" Psycho Krieg said.

[Yeah, we're pretty far from home.]

"We're all far from home." Michelle said.

"Si." Miguel said in Spanish.

".....But you can still consider this place as home." Rodeo said.

"You call this place home?" Jeff asked with a frown.

"For now at least."

"Look. This is the Foundation. They don't give jack shit about us. They only see us as freaks."

"Not all of them, Jeff." Rodeo corrects him.

"I've read the SCP articles, Rodeo. Some of the people here aren't nice."

"True. But like I said, not all of them see us like that."

"Whatever." He scoffed.

Ignoring the blue head, Rodeo then said to the rest, "Since Krieg told us how he got here. Why don't the rest of you share your side of the story on how you got here?"

Michelle nodded, "Sure."

After one very long explanation from Michelle, Miguel and Jeff, Rodeo thinks of the things they said.

"So Miguel, you got pulled into a black hole. Michelle, you got pulled into a flower pot along with your cat, Lizzie. And Jeff, you got pulled into a dark space due to a zipper mysteriously opening in your room."

"""Yes."""

"Hey Michelle. Do you think your cat might be somewhere in this world? Since you both got pulled into the flower pot." Evan said.

'I think so.... I just hope she's alright." Michelle said, looking down.

"Don't worry , Michelle. We'll find her soon enough." Rodeo assured her.

"Thanks, Rodeo."

"You're welcome."

Looking at Rodeo, Michelle's gaze turned upwards to his ears and asked him.

"Can I..... pet your ears, Rodeo? If you don't mind though." She said in a polite and shy manner.

Evan heard what she said, even some female researchers and female D-class who were sitting on a table not far from the gang heard it as well.

"""""As if he's gonna allow....."""""

"Ok."

"""""NANIIIIIIIII?!!!!!"""""

Looking at Michelle who pretty much started petting his ears which Rodeo didn't mind at all.

"Even though they're just triangles on your head. They look cute on you."

"Thanks... I guess." Rodeo awkwardly said.

*Bam!*

With a loud bam, Evan had his face slammed on the table with anime tears streaming down his face and purple anime clouds just appeared on his head, while Carlos just patted his back trying to comfort him. The female researchers and female D-class however had jealousy and anger written all over their faces.

"He has a kind heart." Miguel said.

"Yes, he does." Jeff agreed.

"Oh! So you're agreeing with me l, amigo?"

"Maybe.... still, I don't trust the guys we're working with."

"Believe me, amigo. Even I doubt the Foundation a little bit. The bad side of it at least. Not the good side of it. If you know what I mean."

"I know."

"Hey guys, I was thinking that maybe we can request the foundation to make a very big room for all of us to stay in." Michelle said to the gang.

"That's actually not a bad idea." Rodeo said.

Evan's head perked up and he was back to his normal face.

"Well it's better than being in a cell meant for prisoners and having only a single damn bed in it."

"All in favor of a new and very big room for all of us to stay in. Say aye!"

"Aye!"

"Aye!"

Carlos growls in approval.

"Aye!"

"Jeff and krieg?"

Jeff sighs, "Aye captain.

[What he said.]

"Then it's settled then. Big room for all of us!!"

"""YEAH!!!"""

Green, who was standing next to the cafeteria's door, saw the gang and smiled seeing that they were enjoying themselves. Not wanting to disturb them he leaves the cafeteria.

– Testing Chamber, Site-19 - 8:10 AM –

Inside a testing chamber, a rat was placed next to one of the yellow bulbs that contained the flesh eating virus. Amelia and Molly were in hazmat suits. Amelia takes a small hammer and shatters the bulb releasing the virus, which immediately decomposes the rat from the inside, killing it in seconds.

"Oh my god." Molly looks at it with a bit of horror.

"To think it's that lethal," Amelia said as the purple smoke disappeared. "But it doesn't last long in sunlight or indoor lighting according to what Carson said."

"Yeah, good thing we removed the bulbs from Krieg before letting him tag along with Rodeo."

".....Yes."

After they finished with their experiments, the two left the testing chamber and removed the hazmat suits.

"I met Dr. Arnold in the dream world." Molly said.

"Really? Did you speak with him?"

"Yeah, and also I found Lawrence as well."

"Is that so?"

Molly nodded as she started to explain the whole thing.

"So basically Dr. Arnold can't wake up people who are in a coma and Lawrence has been helping him in his research. And you even told Dr. Arnold about the current problems having right now."

"Yes."

"You did the right thing informing him, Molly. Since Dr. Arnold is stuck in the dream world he can't do anything. I'm surprised he's keeping Lawrence company."

"You would be surprised to know what type of situations they got themselves into. Some of them are hilarious, but I'm pretty sure you're not interested in that kind of stuff."

"Well the foundation wants to keep track of what Dr. Arnold is doing at all times and what he does. I might as well listen to what you have to say."

"Come on then. I'll explain it on the way."

Amelia approached one of the guards guarding and told him to send a clean up crew for the chamber. The guard nods and then both Amelia and Molly head down the hallway as Molly explains Dr. Arnold's and Lawrence's crazy encounters in the dream world.

– Storage Containment Locker Room, Site-19 - 8:56 AM)

In the storage containment locker room, Carson was wearing his usual helmet and MTF uniform.

He was observing Krieg's buzzsaw axe and swinging it left and right. Even though he was told to put it in the locker straight away. But Carson being Carson he just took his time.

"What are you doing?"

Carson got spooked and dropped the axe on the floor. He quickly turned around only to see Miguel.

"Jesus man, don't scare me like that. I've already had enough heart attacks from SCPs jumping out of nowhere trying to kill me."

"Sorry about my sudden appearance. But still what are you doing.... with Krieg's weapon?"

"Oh that. Well I'm just taking a few practice swings, that's all."

"Have you played Borderlands?"

"Nope."

"Then you'll be surprised to know that this weapon has drowned itself in the blood of multiple mega corporation soldiers and bots, alien wildlife, psychopathic people and much more."

Carson looks at the axe, he then slowly keeps it inside a locker and closes it with his key card.

"I regret holding it now."

"Believe me, amigo. The world of Borderlands can be dark, crazy and sometimes comedic as well."

".....Why are you here again?"

"Just exploring the site while traveling through the shadows."

"Must be easy for you to travel then since shadows can pop up anywhere."

"Yeah. Carson, I want to ask you something?"

"And what would that be?"

"You've saved people from SCPs right?"

"Of course."

"Then have you ever.... killed innocent people just to make sure that the foundation secrets stay hidden?" Miguel asked in a serious tone.

Carson didn't say a word. He stood there silently. Even with his helmet on, Miguel didn't need to look at his face for an answer. He already got his answer from his silence.

"I'll take your silence as a yes."

"...Why are you asking me this?"

"Because I want to protect those people.... from the monsters that hunt them in the shadows. I know your foundation wants to protect humanity... but I know they will also go down those levels as well to protect humanity. And you know which type of levels I'm talking about, Carson."

"The inhumane levels."

"Yes, something which I'm not ready to go down for the Foundation."

"If you know the foundation can be bad at times, why are you here then?"

"Because some of you also want to protect the innocent rather than kill them. And not all of you are bad, that's for certain. That's why I'm still here rather than hiding in the shadows of some city."

"...True. You know, I even doubt the foundation sometimes. Sometimes I think we're just lab rats for them being sent to our deaths just for the sake of science. But I didn't stop doing my job. No matter what angle I saw the foundation from. Because I'm a good and honest guy, even though I might have left Lawrence at a certain iceberg once."

"What?"

"Buuuuut I saved his life from 966 and got even with him."

"Well.... that's good to hear."

"So want to chat while heading for the breakroom?"

"Sure, amigo."

Then they both left the room.

– Abandoned Warehouse, Somewhere in America - 9:00 AM –

The Spy, the one who has become Silver Chariot. Alvin Parsh, the one who has become Chilli Pepper. Jack Barton, the Stand user of Ride Me to Hell. Albert Winchester, the Stand user of Faded. The humanoid who was currently in a glass shard and the 19 year old recruit were all gathered at the warehouse.

"Gentlemen. Today, we will execute our plan which involves capturing our main target, Dr. Amelia Buck. After using psychological warfare with the help of Alvin and Jack, Dr. Buck is letting her guard down and she will go to a location far from Site-19 with a man who goes by the name of Green who we believe is a foundation Agent." Spy started, "So first, we knock him out, capture her, give her and..." He places the Stand arrow on the table and points at it, "...and this as well to our client and we will get paid."

"Hope your damn plan works. Otherwise these many days of preparation will all go to waste." Albert said.

"Like I said before, it will work, mon ami. We just need to be smart and precise with our plan. After we get paid, we go our separate ways and go into hiding and disappear. But if our client tries to pull a stunt on us, we kill him and steal the money."

"That's quite the back up plan you got." Alvin said.

"It's the only one I have right now if things go south, and I want all of you to follow me till the very end with this."

Everyone nods and Spy continues, "Also, we'll be taking the Arrow with us on the mission. I have two reasons for this. One, we can give both Dr. Buck and the Arrow at the same time to our client rather than giving them one at a time. Two, if we leave the Arrow here at the warehouse while going after Dr. Buck and if our client does break our contract with us, we won't be paid and he will steal the Arrow for himself. No doubt about it."

The five understood his reasoning thn Albert asks, "And what do you see in your client that you're ready to take these many measures?"
