Forgiveness

(Rodeo's Containment Cell - 2:00 PM)

(Third Person Pov)

Rodeo was in his containment cell, still sitting on the bed in a curled up position, although his tears had stopped he was still blaming himself, for the outburst he gave to Dr. Buck. His heart was filled with regret and guilt, he wasn't sure how to apologize to her.

"How am I going to even apologize to her?" He said to himself, uncertain what to do.

Rodeo then opens his hollow stomach compartment and takes out the drawing which Abby made and looks at it. Just by seeing this he went into an emotional breakdown, because it reminded him of home and the good times.

Suddenly his containment cell door opens, to reveal Dr. Collingwood.

"Hey, Rodeo."

"Hey."

Dr. Collingwood sits next to him, "Are you feeling better?"

"Yeah, a little bit. Is Dr. Buck still...?"

Collingwood cuts him off, "She's still in her office... Hurt." She said with a sad frown.

"Dr. Collingwood, I really didn't mean those things I...I..." He let out a sigh. "I just lost it. I wanted to hurt her, because she hurt me and everything just went out of control."

"Have you ever talked to people like this... like how you did to Buck?"

"No I never really did actually. I would always respect others but today, my emotions got the best of me and all of this happened. I'm sorry." He said tearing up again.

Dr. Collingwood wipes away the tears that were about to start again from his eyes and gently pats him on the head and says, "Don't say sorry to me, say it to Buck. She needs it more than I do."

"You're...right. But will she forgive me?"

"That depends, Rodeo. But if you're ready to forgive her, then I think she will forgive you as well." She reassured him.

Rodeo looks at the drawing again, and then keeps it in his hollow stomach compartment.

Collingwood asks, "What were you holding just now?"

"A gift from Abby. Come on, let's go."

Collingwood nods and they head for Buck's office.

(Dr. Buck's Office - 2:05 PM)

Dr. Buck was still sitting on the floor, with her back against the wall and still had some tears in her eyes. She was still feeling hurt and she didn't want to leave at all. Then she heard the door open and she quickly looked away.

"Go... away." She said in a depressed tone.

"Hi, Dr. Buck."

She looks at the door and saw it was Rodeo. Rodeo closes the door behind him and walks to Dr. Buck, while avoiding the shards of glass on the floor and then sits next to her. Their was silence between the two for a minute until Rodeo says.

"Dr. Buck, I'm sorry for what I said to you, and about your parents."

"You know *sniff* you were right about many things you know. Me being cold hearted and having a rough childhood."

"So wait, you really did have a rough childhood?"

Dr. Buck wipes away her tears, "It was when I was 5 years old. Everytime my father would come back to the house angry, my mother would always argue with him and rarely would they ever talk to me. Back then, I didn't know why they were arguing with each other but I would sit in one place and cry. A lonely little girl, who never got love and kindness."

"Dr. Buck, I... really didn't know. I wasn't sure if I was bringing back old scars."

"Well you did."

"I'm sorry."

"Pretty much after both of them separated, I started working hard to become a scientist and here I am working with the foundation. For years, I worked here and I became strong and forgot about the past scars and eventually things seemed to work out for me and I even found decent people to be with, no matter how cold hearted they see me with SCPs. Even with D-class I showed no sympathy."

"Even if the D-class didn't do anything wrong in the past?"

"Yes. Anyways, things then started to become worse. Agent Green got hurt, Lawrence getting killed on many occasions and... 3887."

Rodeo knew who 3887 was, it was called 'The Monster Under the Bed' that would feast on people's fear and trauma.

"What happened with 3887?"

"It... dragged me to its lair, showing me my traumatic past... told me that I'm still that lonely little girl... that no one... cares about, and more of his 2 minute and 50 second long and boring monologue..." She said before more tears came out of her eyes, "It was right. I am alone, Rodeo *sniff* and that is what I'm afraid of... being alone again and all who care about you gone in front of you. I'm not even sure what to do? I tried helping Green but I couldn't, I tried to forget about what 3887 said, but I couldn't. I tried to forget about the past but I couldn't."

At this point Dr. Buck was crying again and Rodeo just didn't know what to say. He knows she's gone through so much and she must be at her wits end.

"You must have been *sobs* very lucky to have a family, that loves *sobs * and cares about you and never argues with each other, right? I'm pretty sure you're feeling sorry for me." She said while crying.

"I do feel sorry for you but you're not alone, Dr. Buck."

"What do you mean?"

"Look I might have a nice family, but I'm stuck here so pretty much, I'm alone as well. I might have become the killer queen, but at the end of the day, I'm still human. And I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, alone but not completely alone."

"What are you trying to say?"

Rodeo then pulls out the drawing from his hollow stomach and shows it to Dr. Buck.

"What is this?"

"A gift from Abby."

"You mean 053?"

"Yeah, now look you might think SCPs need to be treated with a cold heart but, you don't need to always do it. Even they suffered many things, being away from family, alone and unloved and being seen as different. After Abby gave me this drawing, I felt the old times came back to me hard and pretty much you know what happened after that. What I'm trying to say is life has its ups and downs but we must not live alone and when Abby gave this to me I knew I wasn't alone. There are people who give a damn about you, no matter how different they see you and I'm glad that they are there with you. Dr. Buck, I'm with you, Lawrence, Collingwood, Johnson and Simmons, Carson and even this Agent Green are with you and you know why because we love you as a friend and as a person, no matter what you did or even if you had a bad past or were cold hearted. You are not alone." He said with determination and truthfulness in his voice.

Rodeo then gets up and offers her a helping hand up.

"So how about it, Dr. Buck? Forget the past scars and let's all move forward... together."

Dr. Buck was surprised by this, no, this boy's kindness and he was right, she couldn't let the past scars haunt her and think everyone is different especially the SCPs, then she asks him.

"Even after everything I said today, you're still ready to accept me as a friend?"

"Yes, Dr. Buck and I forgive you and  believe me  things will be alright. I promise you."

Dr. Buck wipes away her tears and takes his hand, and Rodeo gently pulls her back up from the floor.

"Thank you, Rodeo and I'm sorry for slapping you in the face."

"It's ok. You had your reasons. And I'm again sorry for talking crap about your parents."

"It's alright. Like you said, "Forget the past scars and Let's all move forward  together.""

"Yeah. Come on, let's go."

"Where are we going?"

"Collingwood couldn't come here because the Site Director called her and me and you as well. It's regarding my SCP number and object class."

"I see, then let's go."

Both of them carefully walked over the glass shards, and then exited the office and started walking down the hallway. While they were walking down the hallway, Dr. Buck looks at Rodeo without Rodeo noticing and gives out a smile which she rarely does.

'You are something else, Rodeo.' She thought to herself while smiling.

Dr. Buck then pulls out Rodeo's phone from her lab coat pocket, "This belongs to you, Rodeo."

Rodeo takes the phone, "Thanks, Dr. Buck."

"Amelia."

"What?"

"That's my name. Dr. Amelia Buck."

"Thanks, Amelia."

Both looked ahead and saw the elevator and entered it, then Amelia pressed a button and the doors closed and the elevator started going up.

While Rodeo might be an odd one among the SCPs, he is kind, caring and a humorous person and while he might be far from home that won't stop him from getting back but first he needs to get along with his new friends or should I say his new family.

What could possibly go wrong?

"No matter how many times the foundation comes after me they will never ever catch me and even if they do, I always get out." She said with a confident smile.

Little did she know, things are about to change in the Scp world for better or worse, because the Killer Queen's in town!
