Control is Everything(9)

On the third floor, Rodeo and Michelle, who was using the Maykr spear, were heavily breathing and exhausted from taking down countless D4C clones who were lying on the floor dead. 

"I... totally did not expect D4C of all Stands to be here attacking us!" Rodeo blurted out the last part in a fit of anger and frustration.

"Calm down, Rodeo." Michelle said to him.

"Michelle, it's D4C! D.4.C. A dimension hopping Stand that has killed some good characters in Steel Ball Run and the deadliest Stand in Jojo!" Rodeo added, "We can handle him strategically but he has the facility in his hands and can use the environment to his advantage. Me and you aren't enough to deal with him. We need the team but the signals are jammed and we can't contact anybody right now! So we're on our own!"

"Of course, but he is after the Arrow. That's for sure."

"Yeah. Things will become better when everyone says, my ass!" Rodeo said to himself.

"Stop talking to yourself."

The moment Rodeo calms himself, he and Michelle were about to advance until they heard heavy footsteps coming from further down the corridor. The corridor was primarily dark with the only lights that are active being the emergency red lights. With each step, the surrounding area trembles, as if something big is coming, and they can hear the footsteps becoming closer as time goes on. As it now came into view, Rodeo and Michelle gasped in shock and disbelief, due to the fact that what they were seeing in front of them was...

A T-Rex SCP-939

Although his height was not comparable to that of an average T-rex would be, just fifteen to twenty feet tall, its looks more terrifying, dangerous, and stronger than one. Without a doubt, Scary Monsters got him

"...939 turned into a T-rex. Coolest shit I've ever seen." Rodeo remarked in astonishment.

"Yep, I think…" Michelle said with a nod. "Scary Monsters is responsible?" she asked.

"Yeah, I figured as much."

"Rooaaaarrrrrrrr!"

The T-rex 939 charges at them at full speed with a thunderous roar, but they move out of the way just in time, causing the T-rex to collide with the wall instead, destroying it. Jumping near the T-rex 939, Michelle uses the Maykr spear to stab him in the head, when she presses the button on the Maykr spear, it launches a plasma shot and blasts the T-rex 939's head to oblivion, forcing the headless body of 939 to fall to the ground dead.

"All too easy."

"A Darth Vader line?" Rodeo asked.

Glancing at Rodeo, Michelle stated, "The last couple of chapters had a shitload of references. So why not?"

"What last couple of chapters?"

"😐 What?" 

"What?" 

In an akward and strange stillness, they exchanged looks at one another. Rodeo breaks the tension for a brief moment by saying, "You know what, forget it. Let's head for the elevator and meet up with Amelia and Green who are on the 5th floor and try to find Jacob and Jeff who are on the lower levels with Logan which they told me before everything went haywire."

"Then let's go."

Before they reach the elevator, they hear a scream coming from the right-hand side of the hallway, They turn around to find Abby sprinting in their direction as six human size velociraptors dressed in SCP Guard uniforms were chasing her. No doubt Scary Monsters work. 

"PROTECT THE CHILD!"

The two approach them running. Rodeo hastily grabs Abby in an instant and then hurls a jar of dirt at the raptors

"YIMADA!"

Bringing his thumb down, the jar explodes on their faces, blinding them briefly with a dust cloud and explosion as a result. Once they are all blinded, Michelle whacks all six of them in the head with the blunt end of the spear to knock them out. As they set the dinosaurs down, the two abruptly noticed more D4C clones as well as several smaller velociraptors emerging from the vents.

Rodeo shouted, "Forget this! Head for the elevator!" Carrying Abby in his arms, he and Michelle fled down the corridor while being chased by the D4C clones and the raptors until they found the nearest elevator. 

"YES!"

As they immediately enter the elevator, Michelle and Rodeo were repeatedly pressing the close door button as the clones and raptors were draw near and the elevator doors slowly close.

"Come on!"

When the elevator doors eventually shut, Michelle converted them into rubber to stop anyone from attempting to get in. 

Rodeo exhaled, "Phew. We made it." As he and Michelle sat on the floor, they noticed Abby was sobbing in his arms.

"You alright?" Rodeo asked worriedly.

"😭 Big bro! Big sis! Dinosaurs aren't extinct and they look scary when they are real!" Abby cried as she clinged into Rodeo, feeling scared and traumatized.

Hugging her tightly, Rodeo gently pats her in the back while Michelle pats her in the head, both trying to comfort her. 

"It's ok, Abby. They won't hurt you." Rodeo said to her.

"...Abby, remember when I told you this morning we will protect you." Michelle reminded her.

"Q_Q *sniff* Yeah."

"We're just gonna protect you right now from the dinosaurs and did they let you get hurt?"

"*sniff* No."

"Then there's nothing for you to be afraid of, Abby. We're here for you. Always."

Abby wipes away her tears and says, "Ok, big bro and sis."

"Good girl." Rodeo and Michelle smiled at her, finally managed to calm her down. Soon after, Rodeo began to ask, "But Abby, how did you get out of your containment chamber?"

"Someone with a glass helmet and uhhh motorcycle opened the door. I thought he might be with you but then he left before I could ask him. Out of curiosity I left my room and then saw some dinosaurs, and I'm pretty sure you know what happened next." Abby explained, she looked down and tried to hold back her tears, "Are you two mad at me because I left my room and you two almost got hurt?" 

"No Abby. We're not mad. You were curious like any child would be at your age so we can't blame you for being curious and leaving your room." Rodeo said.

"And also, you're still alright. So we're not mad, just surprised that you were out of your room and being chased by prehistoric lizards." Michelle added.

"Mhm."

Glancing at Michelle, Rodeo said to her, "We got to keep her somewhere safe on the 5th floor. Her powers and combine that with the D4C clones and the dinos we might have some problems."

"Ok, but where should we keep her? It's not like we'll just find some safe-class SCP on the 5th floor and he or she will accept our request in keeping her safe."

At that moment, once the elevator reached the 5th floor, the elevator doors opened and they heard wheel noises, they glanced down and saw SCP-131-A and SCP-131-B, also known as "The Eye Pods." A safe-class SCP. 

"...Well this is surprising." Michelle said, her eyes widening.

"They're so cute." Abby gushed at the sight of the two little SCPs.

"These little guys will do." Rodeo smiled.

A short while later, Abby, the Eye Pods, and Rodeo were in a storage room. Rodeo was instructing the Eye Pods on what to do, and Michelle was scanning the hallway to her left and right while keeping watch over the room's door in case someone tried to attack. 

Rodeo explained the Eyepods and said, "There are no vents here and the door will be closed from the outside, but should anything happen hightail out of here with Abby and protect her. Ok?"

The eyepods respond by circling Abby, showing that they are prepared to defend her.

"I'll take that as a yes."

"When will you two be back?" Abby asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, Abby, we'll be back soon." Placing his hand on her shoulder, he added, "I promise."

"Ok, big bro. Just stay safe."

"I will." Rodeo nodded, standing up. He and Michelle left the room, glancing back to Abby one last time, they both waved at her, she waved them back with a smile. Smiling back, Rodeo closed the door in front of her.

After shutting the door in front of them, Rodeo took a glance at Michelle with a serious expression, "...Come on, Michelle. We got a job to do." 

"Right."

Readying themselves for upcoming fights, the two head down deeper into the halls with their weapons and abilities ready.

"You think the rest of our team who are on the other floors will notice that the enemy is after the arrow and meet up with us?" Michelle asked as she brought out the Maykr Spear from her back.

"They will, Michelle. Just hope that Jacob, Amelia and Green are doing fine. Especially Jeff, he's a strong and calm man, he and the others will be totally fine."
