Control is Everything(5)

Inside a containment chamber, a Dread Knight was strapped to a metal table with numerous metal restraints put on him which kept him immobilized to the table. The Dread Knight roars and growls in anger and tries desperately to free himself from the restraints. Luckily they made sure that the energy blades' cybernetics were removed before restraining him.

Outside the chamber, Dr. Logan was observing and writing down notes on the restrained demon of rage while Jeff and Jacob were standing right behind him.

"Look mate, these things are rage incarnate. We should destroy them." Jacob said, pointing to the roaring demon inside the other room.

"Keep your mouth shut, SCP-6620." Dr. Logan spat out, "Just protect me in case this thing breaks out of its restraint."

"I have a fucking name, you know." Jacob glares at him intensely.

"Every SCP is called by a number. So your name is a number, SCP-6620, and the same goes for your entire team of freaks and the other set of freaks that are contained in this site and others. So know your place, SCP-6620."

"Go fuck yourself."

Logan just rolled his eyes and continued to write down his notes. Taking out a syringe, he extracted the Dread Knight's blood and put the blood sample in a glass vial.

"So this U.A.C were the ones to give these beasts cybernetics, right?" He asked the two.

Jeff nodded in response, "Yes Dr. Logan, they are also the ones who found the fucking Doom Slayer in a coffin, which was one of the most biggest mistakes in their life."

"And why was it such a big mistake?"

Jacob and Jeff look at each other for a moment before looking back at him and begin explaining the entire lore of Doom.

Listening to their explanation, one of the details he heard completely baffles him, "He did all of this just for a bunny?!"

"Very yes." Both of them said in unison.

"I'm not sure who's crazier? SCPs or this Doom Slayer?"

Meanwhile, the Dread Knight who was restraining the containment chamber had listened to the entire conversation before it suddenly spoke.

"You two seem well acquainted with our kind's history with the Slayer."

Widening his eyes in surprise, Dr. Logan exclaims, "It speaks?! The rest of your beastly cousins weren't the talkative type."

"Shut the hell up, bald man! Also why is your name, Logan? Are you a wolverine fan or something?" The demon asked. His words caused Jacob and Jeff to chuckle a little bit at that.

"I am only a fan of science. Thank you very much." Logan huffed and took a clipboard and pen, "I'm gonna ask you a few questions. If you're ready to answer then that is."

"You can burn in my home for all I care, human, but I do not answer to a weak, pathetic, and insignificant species like you."

Taking out an electric baton and setting it to its full capacity, Logan began electrocuting him, causing the Dread Knight to growl and roar in pain.

Once Logan stops for almost a minute, he demands, "I want answers, freak. What type of connection does your kind have to SCP-001, "The Scarlet King"?"

Even experiencing millions of volts of electricity for a minute, the Dread knight could chuckles, "Oh please that baton was nothing. And regarding your question, I refuse to answer it, even if I did, what difference will it make? You idiotic primates have only won the battle, but the war has just begun and it will come right up your door steps, knock it and say hello to you before getting swatted like that FBI video." He stated in a dark tone.

"Fine. Don't answer. We just might use you for an autopsy instead." Logan looks at Jeff and Jacob and orders, "You two follow me. We might need to interview the rest of his friends."

Slightly nodding their heads, Jacob and Jeff follow Logan and leave the containment chamber.

Watching them as they leave, the Dread Knight lay on the metallic table and gazes at the ceiling above.

"...Revenant, if you're out there... please don't mess up our plans. Remnant was enough of a crazy show... we don't want to have accidents here as well."

Turns out this guy is also part of Revenant's team of idiots that disbanded a long time ago.

In the underground parking lot, Lightning McQueen was driving around in his car form while Carlos and Robert were watching him from the sidelines. Robert was checking his speed using a speedometer, deciding to push the speed at least 200 mph, McQueen making tight turns in the parking lot.

"Yep he's still got speed on his side." Robert utters as he watches both the device and McQueen driving. But when you look at him closely, you could see the legendary number 95 was painted on each side of his body, something which Finn decided to do a week back. Including the word Rust-eze was also written on the rear bumper which was also Finn's idea.

Pulling on the brakes, McQueen stopped in front of Carlos and Robert and asked, "So how did I do?"

"Your speed went to 200 mph given the new engine upgrade we gave you and your turns are more precise as well. I think this is an improvement." Robert replied proudly, while Carlos nodded and growled in agreement.

"Yeah, definitely an improvement." McQueen smiled, feeling a bit of accomplishment. "Hey Robert, do you think we'll be able to go back home?"

Robert sighs, "It's tough to say, man. Given we've been stuck here for more than a month and they are not allowing us to meet up with reality bending SCPs who might help us, I think it's gonna take a lot of time."

"Hmm. I had no problems with it. Given how messed up this place is, and after the Vegas incident." McQueen said in understatement. "I think the best option might be to stay for now until the bad guys are dealt with."

"Yeah." Turning to Carlos' direction, he requested him, "Carlos, stay with McQueen, I'm gonna head to the upper levels."

Carlos nods as he and McQueen watch Robert heads for the upper levels.

Somewhere in the facility, Michelle was standing in front of Abby's containment cell door, she didn't have her armor since it was going to be maintained by tech engineers. But she was holding a penguin plushie which she bought from this site's merch store.

"She'll love this." She softly said before opening the door and saw Abby drawing something on a piece of paper with a crayon, sitting on the floor. Although she looked sad.

"Abby?" Michelle asked worriedly after noticing her expression and behavior.

Instantly, her expression lightened up, she looked up to see Michelle. Kneeling down next to her, Abby immediately hugged her and she started crying.

Patting her back, Michelle tried to settle her down and said, "There, there, Abby. Can you please tell me what's wrong?"

Abby sniffed and began to explain tearfully, "I woke up from a nightmare this morning, big sis."

Looking at her with a worried look, Michelle wipes away her tears and said "It's ok Abby. Everyone has nightmares. Do you want to talk about it?"

Thinking for a moment, Abby slowly nods.

"Ok then. Just tell me what you saw. You don't need to tell me everything about the nightmare."

"Well, I saw him.... the king."

"...Scarlet king?"

Abby nodded tearfully, "He told me that I should break out from here and join up with 682 and head somewhere. But I don't want it, big sis. I know 682 is my friend but he can sometimes be mean to others and I don't want to see you and big bro get hurt. I just can't see more people getting hurt by my powers and other stuff related to me."

Michelle hugs her and Abby hugs her back as well.

"Don't worry, Abby. No one is gonna get hurt and I promise you that me and your big bro will keep you safe and sound. No matter what. Ok?"

Looking at her, Abby nodded, Michelle smiled and kissed her forehead, "Also I got you a new plushie. A penguin!" She said, showing it to Abby, which lightened her expression even more.

"Awww. It's so adorable!"

Seeing her expression, Michelle gives her the plushie and Abby quickly takes it.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes I do! Thanks big sis!"

"You're welcome." Michelle grinned.

"Can you play with me, big sis?"

"Well I have nothing to do right now. So yeah."

"Yay!"

In Iris' containment cell, she was observing the picture she took of Wamuu and it seems like him and Esidisi are still on the move and haven't done anything crazy yet.

"This job can be boring sometimes." Iris mumbled and groaned tiredly. But then,  she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in."

With her words, the door opened and coming in was Rodeo.

"Rodeo? What brings you here?" She asked, lifting herself from her bed.

"Well I went to the cafeteria and only found Carson just himself instead and as usual he has yet to remove his helmet, but I did have a good chat with him regarding anime."

"Well, that's great." Iris said. Then, she quickly forgets about him as she starts to ask, "Rodeo, do you miss home?"

"Yeah, a lot actually. Why do you ask?"

"Rodeo, I've been here for years and ever since then, I've never been able to go back to my family. They're still alive but they think I'm gone, the foundation made them believe that I was no more. All because I have these powers."

"Do you hate your powers?"

"I'm gonna say both. My powers are useful for sure but... it doesn't change the fact that it can be used for other purposes as well. Like assassinations. Something which they told me to do but I refused."

"You did the right thing by refusing them. Sometimes I think the foundation just sees us as assets in their fight against other organizations like the Chaos Insurgency, Global Occult Coalition and so on."

"...You know I hate it when they call me by a number rather than my name, it makes you feel like you're something else rather than a human being." Iris said, gripping her hands in anger.

"You're human to me, Iris. Even the rest of the humanoid SCPs here that have a kind heart are also human in my eyes. The only difference being that they have powers and weird traits instead. But still, they are human in my eyes. No matter what others say or feel about them."

"That's nice of you to think of them that way. I'm glad you also don't see me that way. Thanks." She thanked him with a small smile.

"No problem."

Getting rid of her smile, Iris began to gaze at something on top of Rodeo, "...Can I pet your ears?"

"Are you serious right now?" He deadpanly said.

"Please."

"No."

In sadness, Iris stares at him with her secret and ultimate weapon, the puppy eyes.

Even with the power of blowing things to atoms and rewinding time, Rodeo doesn't stand a chance against this cuteness and just sighed, "Fine, but just this once."

Happily accepted, Iris stood from her bed and proceeded to pet his ear. She chuckles by touching it, "They look so cute on you."

"Yeah. Yeah. I get that."

Finally stopping petting his ears, Iris then asks him, "So do you think there is a high possibility the stone mask and the red stone might be here as well in our world?"

"Given the fact the Pillar Men are back and that the Stand arrows are here as well, it could be possible."

Before the two could continue the topic, they heard a knock on the door.

"Come in."

Hearing her words, the door opened and Evan came in.

"Why hello there, Iris. Want to have a chat at the cafeteria~?" He asked with a seductive smirk.*

"Jerk."

"Damn it." He silently cursed.

"Tough luck man." Rodeo said, chuckling at his reaction.

"Says the guy who is always getting attention from the girls." Evan glared at him.

"I didn't ask for attention, man. And like I said before, I will date a girl after I graduate and get a job."

"You already have a job. It's called leading an MTF team!" He spat back.

Rodeo tries to protest but silences himself, he thinks for a moment before understanding what Evan's words meant, "...Ah, good point. But still, I won't date right now."

"Suit yourself then. I'm heading out." Evan said and left the room.

"He's quite the character." Iris remarked as she watched the door close.

"Yeah..." Rodeo agreed with her words, before adding, "But he still stinks at getting a girl."

"Now that is something I can highly agree with." Iris laughed for a moment before asking, "Are you sure you don't like someone?"

"No. I only like them as friends."

"Then what about Michelle?"

"We are just friends."

Raising a brow, Iris teasingly asked, "Are you sure? Because out of all the girls you talk to you talk with her a lot more."

"She's a nice person. Always smiling, being happy, strong and cares about others' well being and can get angry and whack you in the head with a wrench in most cases if you don't listen to her."

"Sheesh. So she tends to become winry in most cases."

"Exactly, and yet she's afraid of loss. She said she experienced something in the past but she's not ready to talk about it."

"Rodeo, some people have scars that run so deep that they want to talk about it immediately. Give her time."

"Yeah, I am giving her time to talk about it, but when I waited for Amelia to talk about her past the enemy attacked and she almost got hurt. I just don't want the same to repeat in a different way. Also sorry for acting angrily towards you on the rooftop this morning." He apologized.

Iris pats his back and replies, "It's alright. You're not the only one being frustrated with what's going on right now. All of the foundation is actually tensed after the Vegas incident. So I understand." She genuinely smiles.

"Thanks for understanding, Iris."

"No problem. Anyways, I'll go check Abel. Just to make sure he doesn't go berserk, and I also have the detonator for his collar."

"Sure. I'll go check on the rest of the team." Rodeo said, staring at Iris who nodded and both left the room.

Not far from Iris' containment room, Evan was just walking down the corridor in silence until he spotted Molly in the distance.

"Oh hey, Molly. What are you doing?" He asked.

"After a long day of work and checking out SCPs I'm heading for the roof top to get some fresh air."

"Sure, go ahead."

As Molly walks past him, Evan turns back to her direction and lets out an exciting smile.

"It's time
