Milena's POV
When I was growing up, dad will gift me the most beautiful toys while Isabella gets textbooks even though she disliked books. He kept buying them anyway Lots and lots of them. I remember wiping her tears, rocking her like a baby then we'll switch toys when our parents were away.
I don't know why dad always bought those toys. Toys that I didn't like but I never rejected them as long as Isabella gets to have more toys I pretended to like them and soon enough dad found out.
I remember the way his chest heaved like I committed a heinous crime. I remember watching him destroy my favorite textbooks on mechanics. I recall mom coming to stop him. I recall just standing there crying, waiting for him to finish. I will never forget the fury in his eyes nor the words he said that day.
" You're meant to be alone" I didn't do anything. I just gave Isabella my toys. He made a big deal out of it. It was the worst day of my life.
