Episode 08

There was silence in the room. Xavier glanced at his children while Lilian couldn't stop glaring at the lady standing some miles away from her fiancé.

"Dad, ma'am Vanessa is here, and you're looking off. Let's discuss this so she can go." Chloe referred to her father.

He stood on his feet and headed towards the direction Vanessa stood. At a time, he turned to face his children.

"This is Miss Vanessa, why not offer her a seat?" He commented.

Tracy let out a loud hiss and got seated while Ben looked off them as he was already seated all this while.

He pretended that nothing had happened. "Thank you for coming, Vanessa. You can have a seat first."

"Do you have a seat? Who the hell is she by the way?" Lilian asked him.

He smiled. "She's Vanessa, I'll be employing her soon to babysit Chloe for peace to reign in this home."

Chloe smiled expressing how happy she was, she glanced at her siblings to get how irritated they felt.

"Does it mean that I can't babysit Chloe? Employing someone else when I'm here makes no sense. I'll do the babysitting myself." Lilian uttered audibly.

Chloe chiseled her face, this is one thing she doesn't want to hear for any reason.

"To hell with you babysitting me, I'll keep rejecting that offer till the end of life. Let me be Miss Lilian Smith, you are here for my dad, not for me okay." Chloe declared to everyone's hearing.

She bit her lips in dismay, this little girl will never stop messing her up.

"This is an example of extravagant spending of money. Chloe has grown up with siblings that can care for her so well, and I'm here too for her. Why then should you employ a babysitter to keep the house crowded." Lilian complained bitterly.

Precisely, she doesn't need a lady that would be pestering around the house all in the name of being a worker.

She wants to handle everything by herself. Lilian wants everyone under the roof to abide by her words. She doesn't need anyone that would step on her toe for any reason.

She has assured herself of owning Xavier's heart and everything that belongs to him. And so, she wants nothing and no one to interrupt her.

"I don't want you to babysit me for goodness's sake, my father's wife doesn't need to take care of me. And you have to know this, only if dad employs her you will go ahead staying here as his wife. In addition, we aren't accommodating you." Chloe started referring to Lilian.

Tracy adjusted on her seat while glaring at the two ladies in the sitting room.

"I don't need any of you here. Yes, we don't need you. Dad doesn't need a wife, and we don't need a stepmother. Chloe doesn't need a babysitter, we can take good care of her." She remarked and relaxed on the sofa again.

Vanessa has been watching them all as they utter all sorts of words because of her presence.

She had known it all this while, a man like Xavier can't be without a woman, even if he lost his wife a long time ago.

She never wanted to be present in his house as a babysitter, even though she's loving him already.

Watching another woman live with Xavier when she loves him is one burden she can never bear. And trying as much as she can to stop loving the young man is quite impossible for her.

She loves this soul damn much, and the presence of a woman in his life already before her presence is killing the inside of her.

Lilian got on her feet towards the point Xavier stood, she grabbed his palm and headed to the sofa.

"What are you still waiting to kick this lady off here? You've been staring at her for a while now without taking a blink. Xavier doesn't tell me you're developing strange feelings towards another lady in my presence because I can't stand and watch it happen. That's the major reason you don't need to employ any woman here, I'll do everything by myself." Lilian narrated out of pain.

He studied her so well and shook his head. "You mean that I can't stare at a woman again? Staring at her means that I'm beginning to fall in love with her huh?"

"That's so lustful, or aren't you getting me? But… … "

"But what then?" Ben shut her up. He decided to cut short her sentence out of anger.

"This drama is getting more interesting than ever, I mean watching you tell my dad how he will live his life isn't gonna work at all. Now I'll have to tell you this young lady. You aren't welcome in this house as well, get ready to leave us soonest." Ben remarked vividly. He was so upset this time.

Tracy circled her lips. "You aren't supposed to refer to her alone. The both of you aren't welcomed, so take your leave before we help you do that."

"You can't do this to me when you claim to love and care for me. She's my babysitter and nothing can ever stop that, two options must be chosen against one, or rather take me to my mother, so I won't be witnessing all this mess." Chloe uttered amidst tears.

Xavier couldn't bear it seeing his child shed tears while reflecting on her mother. This is one thing he doesn't ever want to take place.

Gosh! Lilian couldn't bear staring at Vanessa. She admired her beauty and had sworn within her never to let the lady be employed.

Within her, she has already thought of Vanessa stealing Xavier's heart because of her beauty.

She can strangle the lady to death at this point. All she needs is Xavier's concentration on her without any distraction from different angles.

She has studied how Vanessa will take away the love and care she gets from her fiancé, and that's what she had never dreamt to occur.

All because of Xavier, she had refused all suitors coming on her way, and wouldn't watch another lady take away her position in his heart.

"Miss Vanessa, we don't need you in this home, so you should leave other than wasting your precious time here." Lilian referred to Vanessa who has been standing without saying a word.

Chloe felt like grabbing her neck at the moment. She had hated this lady for wanting Vanessa out of the house.

"I'll make sure you leave before her, it's a promise. You don't deserve to be sheltered here, I just hate everything about you. And you know one more thing, start leaving my father's life because we aren't in support of whatever you two are up to." Chloe commented while in his father's arm.

Xavier tried several times to shut her up, but she couldn't let it happen. She has to speak up her mind.

Silence took over the room again, no one was able to say a word. They all stared at each other.

Chloe was in pain already, because she can't bear to lose this special opportunity she has gained already....
