Chapter5

Before I could realize, it was already the next day. Even though I had renamed the story, it still wasn't finished. There were many things that I hadn't added, and after meeting Vampire, my mind went crazy with many ideas popping up every now and then. I jotted them down, and started writing a new chapter, filled with energy.

Just as I was about to start typing, my phone rang and I picked it up. It was a whatsapp message from Vampire. Suddenly a flush of warmth traced my heart as I grinned happily again.

"What made you so happy today?" My husband asked, who just walked out of the bathroom, narrowing his eyes at me.

I waved my hand at him. "Nothing. The editor really liked my work, and he will help with the contract!"

My husband frowned and walked toward the kitchen. I ignored him and continued to chat with Vampire.

Vampire: "How're you doing today?"

I typed, "I have plotted extra chapters for the story, and it's really good!"

He sent a smirking emoji and said, "Oh? Mind telling me about it?"

I couldn't help but smile widely at this. And just like that, I continued telling him about the plot that I had planned. Basically, it was a simply extra marital affair of a girl, who ended up putting her legs in two boats. And later, she ended up suffering because of it.

After listening to my entire story filled with comedy, romance, and drama, Vampire was silent for a long time before messaging, "What's the name of this story?"

I gulped, and a sudden wave of shyness spread in my heart. I named my story after him, and if I told him that, wouldn't that be admitting that I was already in love with him? I shook my head. What was I thinking?! This was my work! I was sure that Vampire had asked this just out of curiosity, not after listening to how the novel plot sounded similar to my real life experience.

And then, I typed. "99 days in love with Vampire."

"Vampire?" He replied.

After that, I got so busy replying to him that I didn't even see my husband was long gone to the office, and it was already late afternoon. That meant, I spent my entire day chatting with Vampire while writing the chapter. What was even better that Vampire also told me how to make my story interesting?

After we were done talking about my story, he suddenly paused for a few minutes before sending a very weird message that indicated that might be interested in me.

"Do you want to know what type of girls I like?"

My heart jumped in my chest at that. What the hell was this?! Was it a direct flirting text? I couldn't help but think in that direction. If Vampire was really interested in me, wouldn't that mean that somehow, this person reciprocated my feelings?

When I thought of this, a series of giggle escaped my lips, and I typed. "Yes!"

He didn't waste time before sending the message. I even wondered if he had already typed it and was waiting for my reply.

"Overbearing, cute, and sexy."

My smile reached my eyes after seeing this. This guy didn't hesitate before telling me bluntly about who he liked. Wasn't he worried that I would act just like his favorite type girls to attract his attention?

But before I could think more on this topic, another message from Vampire made me shocked.

"What about you?"

My eyes widened after seeing this. What did he mean 'what about you'? Was this guy asking me directly who was the type of person I liked? I couldn't help but feel my heartbeat speeding up at this. Should I just confess my feelings for him directly?

If I did, there would be two situations that could happen. One was where he would likely ignore me and my dream of becoming an author would be shattered into pieces. But when I thought carefully about it, the first wasn't possible because this guy had been flirting with me for quite a while.

It would be hypocritical of him to suddenly reject my confession at this time.

And the second situation would be that he would accept my confession, and we could go out on a date. At this time, I suddenly thought of my husband, adn a trace of guilt filled my heart, but I didn't dwell on it anymore because my mind was set on becoming an author. So for me, I didn't do anything wrong.

After deliberating about it for a while, I typed. "You."

I waited, waited, and waited. After what I felt like hours, that guy finally replied with a smiling emoji and then stopped talking. I frowned after seeing this. Did he accept or not? But after that, he just sent a 'be right back' message and went offline.

I couldn't help but feel disheartened. Did I alienate him by confessing like that? I couldn't help but be anxious. But when I saw on offline, and even his call wasn't connected, I relaxed my shoulders. Maybe he was really out and busy. That's perhaps why he couldn't reply.

I stretched my neck anr started writing further chapters. Today, I had to finish as much as I could! I had alread decided to go with the story I had planned with Vampire. So it shouldn't be harder to write the chapters now.

I quickly sped up my typing speed and just like that, hours passed by. It was already late evening when I stopped and heard the front door opening. My husband came back? Didn't he act so fast? I shook my head and continued writing.

I was on my writing spree. So I focused only on my writing and nothing else. Even though I knew I was supposed to welcome my husband, but I was too busy, and to be honest, I had already stopped welcoming him for a long time already. It would be awkward if I were to start behaving like before.

Even thinking about it made me feel awkward. So I continued typing, and my husband didn't mind me as well. He glanced at me from the door and went to the bedroom, dumping his bag and coat on the bed.

Just then, I heard my husband yelling from the bedroom. "Elise! What the hell were you doing the whole day?!"

Huh? Did someone call me? My fingers paused briefly before starting to type again. It looks like my husband was being weird again. I ignored him and continued to type.

"Elise!" He paused and his voice had a touch of irritation. "Are you even listening to me?! You haven't cleaned the bedroom! It looks really messy!"

"So clean it! I don't have time!" I was finally getting enough motivation for finishing my story. Why would I focus on trifle matters?

I heard him muttering curses followed by shuffling voices. Clearly, my husband seemed to be frustrated with my behavior, but he didn't say another word and started cleaning the room.

What I didn't know was his face was extremely dark as he cleaned the room. First, he made the bed, and picked up my clothes that were thrown on the floor. After that, he tieded up the cabinets and the mirror before walking out. He seemed angry and disappointed, but he glanced at me and simply went to the kitchen.

It seemed that he had expected such a thing to happen.

After that, he cooked the dinner. At that time, I heard him speaking, "Do you want to eat or not?"

"Not now." I didn't stop writing, and continued to focus solely on my novel, even ignoring my food. Half an hour later, my husband approached me and out a bowl filled with hot soup beside me and went to the bedroom without even saying a word.

Just like that, this kind of hectic schedule continued on until four days later. It was already the seventh day of when I met Vampire. So I was eager to see his face!

And I finally had a chance now! After all, this time, I finished twenty chapters! There was a big grin on my face when I saw the number of chapters I finally finished writing!

I quickly picked up my phone and messaged Vampire, telling him the good news. I could finally see him!
