Chapter19

I stared at my phone for a while and sighed. It wasn’t like I had never spoken harshly with my husband. And it wasn’t like Lewis loved me anymore. The rape attempt a that day was already a sign that he just saw me as his ‘thing’ rather than his wife. So I shouldn’t be feeling guilty at this time.

After consoling myself like that, I finally let go of the guilt in my heart and focused on the document in front of me. But no matter how long I stared at it for, I couldn’t find that motivation. My heart only yearned for Vampire, but unfortunately, I had unknowingly scared him off. If only I was sane enough at that time!

I really shouldn’t have messaged something like that. Vampire was already feeling guilty because of how he was having an affair with me. And despite feeling guilty, he still compromised and gave me a gift. But now when I said that my husband wasn’t home, and indicated to him that we should spend some time alone, was he stimulated again?

Would he feel guilty again that he had found someone else outside of the marriage? I couldn’t help but feel depressed. I had finally started feeling the warmth in my heart after so long, but it was being taken away from me again and again. I couldn’t help but feel frustrated at that.

Just when I was about to go mad thinking of my husband and Vampire, I heard my phone ringing again. Who was calling again? I gave my phone an irritated glance only to find Vampire’s name at the top.

I stared at the notification for quite a while before realizing what was happening.

Was Vampire really calling me?! My eyes widened at that and a familiar warmth spread in my heart. I picked it up instantly and said, “Where were you?! I was waiting for your reply.”

Anxiety was apparent in my voice. I suddenly heard a soft chuckle from the other side, and he said, “Open the door.”

“What door?” I tilted my head in confusion and glanced at the door of my house for a moment. Was he talking about the door of my house? My heart couldn’t help but thud against my chest.

But before I could say anything, I heard him saying, “Just open the door of your house.”

My heartbeat increased rapidly after seeing that. I dashed toward the front door and hastily opened the door only to see a familiar man standing right before my eyes. I stared at his face blankly thinking I was dreaming. I couldn’t help but pinch my arm.

When Vampire glanced at my stupefied face and my action of pinching my arm, he chuckled again before placing his hand over my head, caressing the area a little. “I’m really here.”

After a short while, I found us sitting in the living room. I glanced at Vampire, who was talking about the outline and what would happen in my novel, and I couldn’t help but blurt out. “I never thought you would come.”

“Really?” His eyes flashed with amusement. “I’m your editor. So shouldn’t I come and see you whenever you’re not motivated?”

I blushed thinking of that. I knew why I was demotivated again out of the blue. It was simply because Vampire hadn’t texted me back, and I thought I had scared him off.

“So what do you think of my novel so far?” I wanted to change the topic since the surrounding was getting more ambiguous all of a sudden.

“It’s good, especially the main character.” I blushed at that, but he continued with a serious tone this time. “I have noticed grammatical mistakes in your draft. Make sure to run it through Grammarly this time. I’ll send you the premium account. It makes things easier for me.”

I nodded, pursing my lips. I knew my grammar wasn’t perfect since I hadn’t lived with English tongue kids when I was young.

“Another thing.” Vampire closed his phone and smiled at me. “Do you think your main character takes after me?"

I was shocked after hearing that. The surprise on my face was so apparent that even Vampire could see my expressions clearly, and he chuckled, leaning back on the sofa. Then he smiled at me and said, "I didn't know you were so sneaky. You actually created a character out of me. And even included scenes. No wonder you would lose motivation every time I wouldn't reply you."

I opened my mouth and closed, but nothing came out except air. Averting my eyes, I couldn't help but blush. How did he figure it out?

But before I could think more, he placed his finger on my chin and lifted my face. I was stunned to see Vampire standing so near me.

He didn't say anything, and kept looking at my face. His eyes stared at me for a long time. I couldn't even see my reflection in his eyes, making me froze. I couldn't move. The air around us became more and more ambiguous.

Suddenly, he lowered his head and kissed me. I was so surprised that my eyes widened, but my hands still went around his neck, pulling him closer.

Things slowly went beyond our expectations. He kissed, and pushed me on the couch, continuing to suck my lower lips. His teeth gently bit my lips as he took the opportunity to insert his tongue in my mouth.

At the same time, his another hand pulled up my top and grabbed my breasts. I couldn't help but curse at myself for wearing bra. I was already muddled at this time because of kissing. But before I could even think about this, his fingers softly caressed my nipples from the bra, making them harden even more.

After that, it seemed like he couldn't take it anymore and broke away, instantly taking the top off of me and throwing it on the ground. Then he grabbed both of my breasts and squeezed them.

I couldn't help but arch my back and gasp. Just then, he didn't even give me opportunity to calm down when he suddenly unclasped my bra and threw the only piece of clothing between me and his hand.

And then, his hands replaced his mouth, and he sucked my nipples fiercely.

I cried out his name, digging my nails deep in his shoulders. But he didn't move, and only used his another hand to tug my other nipple. With his free hand, he went inside my underwear and pushed one finger inside, making me gasp.

I was beyond surprised. At this time, I was so aroused that I wasn't even thinking straight. Suddenly, I felt him leaving my breasts as he pulled the remaining clothes out and instantly came on the top of me.

I waited, waited, and waited, but he didn't move. I finally opened my eyes to see Vampires confused face, and finallt he gritted his teeth and moved off of me, throwing the pieces of clothing toward my chest.

"I'm sorry. I can't." He rubbed his face in frustration. "I can't seem to reach the last stage."

I stared at his profile and couldn't help but feel disappointed. Slowly, I wore my clothes and fixed my appearance and then said, "Are you feeling regretful?"

In my heart, I didn't want him to answer this question because I could tell that meeting me was probably his greatest regret. He fell for me, but couldn't even touch me because he was already married. What could be more worse that this?

Vampire didn't say anything, but kept staring blankly at the wall before him.

But before I could say another word, I heard the door clicking, and it ooened, revealing Lewis's familiar face.

I paled seeing that. When I remembered what me and Vampire doing just a minute ago, I couldn't help but tremble. My greatest fear came true. Finally, my past and my present were coming face to face, and I had no choice but to face them.

Lewis walked in and saw a strange man in the living room sitting on the ground. His expression became thunderous, and he roared in anger. "Who is he?!"

"I-I…" I stuttered, but I couldn't form a single sentence. I was so frightened by this situation that my knees went weak. But I had to say something! I didn't focus on why my husband was here despite the fact that he had gone out for a few days. "He's my editor. We were talking about business."

Lewis looked at me dully and snorted, glaring at the person on the ground. And then without saying a word, he turned around and left, slamming the door behind him.
