Chapter 10

Sasha loved the department stores. He could’ve browsed those all day. Bed, Bath and Beyond was one of his favorites.

He even bought a little gift for Isabella, to be nice. Although she still didn’t seem to like him much. Sasha figured she was plain old homophobic, and decided to stop trying to make her like him. If she was determined not to like him, that was her loss.

Elliot didn’t speak to him all week, so by the weekend Sasha was more than ready to meet up with Daniel and his friends again, and be around people who actually seemed to enjoy his company.

Brunch with Daniel, Jamal, and Ryan was wonderful. Jamal and Ryan were a long-term couple, he discovered, and Sasha felt simultaneously happy for them, and a little bit envious.

Sasha hoped one day he would be in such a happy and committed relationship as theirs. They were a few years older than him and Daniel, and great fun to be with.
