She walked back into her room, found her phone, and directly dialed Josie Reed's number.

On the phone, Tara Summer told her mother that she and Liam Yancey had gotten back together. She also frankly explained why Liam Yancey had divorced her one year ago.

Upon learning it had to do with the Dragon Beast, Josie Reed was taken aback, repeatedly asking if their reunion would bring about dire consequences.

Tara, of course, dared not tell her mother the truth. She simply reassured her that she would figure out a solution, urging her mother not to worry.

Josie Reed sensed unease, but did not push for more information. They chatted a little about this and that before hanging up. Before ending the call, Tara asked her mother to bring Bastian back to Night City.

Josie Reed agreed to return home in the next few days and to contact her then.
