Childish translator. Story is genuinely good tho, hope another translator can pick up this translator’s slack. Lots of cliffhangers, heaps of betrayal.

Honestly not sure why this has such high ratings unless majority of readers are new to cultivation novels. Thus far (200+) it's basically brain dead ****** plot, ****** characters, ****** writing like MGA. It's probably pretty decent if you're new to cultivation novels, but when you've read enough when you know the author is being excessively wordy for word count, the same old offending the current top expert, getting beat and coming back later to win, etc, it's a bit tiresome. Some critical flaws in this is that the author doesn't seem to have an understanding of human psych/interaction and the cultivation levels are ambiguous and makes no sense. Example would be when 3rd chu prince mentions MC is the 3rd lvl weaponsmith and bribes him in exchange to not interfere with his family matters... You want this third prince who is favored by the king for his ruthless genius, but he isn't smart enough to realize that MC literally throws himself to danger to save his father/clan multiple times yet thinks he could somehow be coerced to back off? Or that in the same scene, MC agrees to a duel of taking 3 strikes by current rival top expert, in exchange for asking that his father be treated well... instead of trying to ask whether his father can be released from prison? (No matter what there's no harm in asking in this situation). There's an incredible amount of off character interactions. All in all, it's good enough to keep reading if you're bored, but it's certainly not deserving of a 4.5.
Amazing writer and equally amazing translator! Translation speeds are great and steady. The story progression and well written fight scenes are top notch from a casual reader that has read a lot of the other popular translated wuxia novels. Definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in a blood-boiling, action filled novel that also doesn't skimp on the romance and cultivation.
In my opinion, BEST novel I have ever read. Great story development and twist and turns that my you scream "NOOOOO!!!!!". The MC is a proud, intelligent and hilarious(mostly in downtime between arcs). Overall a great read and recommended for readers that are new to Wuxia style novels and those who have been in the community and haven't gave AGM a shot yet. **: I hope all Is going well for you Bluefire after the move. When I first started this novel I really liked the premise and all so I actually bothered reading the raws and let me tell you it only gets worse. Every single arc in this whole goddamn novel is exactly the same. First someone offends Mc, Mc hits back, the situation escalates and Mc is forced to flee by some sect elders. He then gets some random ass power up and proceeds to wreck the sect. And out of the rubble walks the next random dude who offends the Mc. This wouldnt be that bad if the characters and the story were interesting, but no. Every single Person in this world has exactly one of three character types: the benevolent friend, the useless fodder and the literally braindead genius/op sect elder. And to make things worse, the author hasn’t succeeded to include one good female character in all of the 2000 chapters. They either fall in love with the Mc or are bat**** crazy. I cant remember one sane female that wasnt on the mc d*ck. As for the overarching story, the thing that I initially thought was this novels strongest point, well, the author decided to retcon it all halfway through and then proceeded to completely ignoring all that was interesting and mysterious in the beginning for “muh we literally gods now” the translation quality is good tho, a shame the novel is not up to par
You know the translator is greedy when you save 700+ plus stones but still are not able to catch up to the lastest release. Truly despicable as this is by far my favourite light novel and i really am enjoying the story but due to the translator not caring about his audience i need to futher wait to build back up my stones or pay to get more.
Don't read this. Seriously. Novel is generic, MC is lucky every time and rescued by plot armor. Every female in the story is sperm bank for MC without their own personality. Every enemy is arrogant Young Master. MC and his friends are stupid moralfags. For ex. his close female friend master sacrificed herself for her to escape. Yet instead she goes back and be captured by enemy which forces MC to sacrifice himself. And MC is the same. Always hot blooded and instead of planning he buts his head everywhere only to be rescued by luck and plot armor. There is ****load of plotholes. MC suddenly uses evil technique that matches strength of fire technique of similar grade although his enemy forced his entire development and reinforces his fire. Yet he dies from evil technique. What is worse author has massive SWORD BONER! FIrst astral soul of MC is hammer yet he uses sword. SWORD is god, its most powerful offensive power in existence. Sword cultivators by the virtue of using swords are capable of firghting enemies of grades above. Sword cultivators not only have strongest offensive. Their defensive power is strong and speed too. Whats even worse SWORD CULTIVATORS HAS NO COUNTER Evil techniques are countered by light or buddha whatever, fire by water (u know 5 elements restraining each other) SWORDS ARE ALMIGHTY POWERFUL ETC ETC and other paths are forced so that there are not sword cultivators everywhere. Other than MC and his friends everybody are arrogant and stupid like 5 th schoolers. No planning, no strategy just charging ahead and shouting "Mine is BIGGER". You know typical absolute strength boner. having strongest psychical strength of course trumps speed, planning, attributes like fire or corrosion. I have bigger than you thats why you lose. Translation is bad, grammar failures everywhere, translators don't update their AAaand names are so freacking generic. Everybody are named the same. I don;t know which forces are which. Don't read this if you don't want to become dissapointed, seriously.
