Halmir's Staue

Marius Starkole

The bushes were well trimmed, lined along the brick pathway that led to Halmir’s bronze statue, shining as it oversaw the front yard. I stood at the marked spot on the map.

Cool air blew against the dry leaves, making rustling noises on the ground. On either side, half of the yard had well-aligned trees, their branches stretching to each other. It was the perfect atmosphere for studying. Multiple round marble tables with benches were scattered through the area, it doubled as an eating table during events.

The other half of the yard, on the outer front, is usually where stalls, tents, and different moving-stores are placed for the students to shop. I remember entering the grounds at night, Hale on hand, dragging him from store to store when I was a child. He used to let me have sweets before dinner, keeping it a secret from my mom.
