[Prologue]

My name is Austin, the eldest in my family, a 27 year old man who currently working as a nurse in residential care facilities operate under the supervision of community care licensing, a sub agency of the California Dept. ...In the vernacular of the state, these homes are also known as RCFE's (Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly).

I was born in France where have no nursing homes for elderly. I have 3 little sisters named Airah, Amie and Abbie. My family isn't perfect as you think. Also, not all the family is perfect, we all just need a long patience.

When I was in highschool, my teacher from southeast asia taught us about caretaking. Since we all grew older and we will find someone who will grow old with us and make babies to grow old with, I worked as a caregiver in California. Since, my home country doesn't have a nursing homes, I need to take care of my parents just like how they care about me without limitations.

[Present day]

While I was talking to the elders, my co-worker named Emmaline ran up to me to say there is another old woman came from korea for them to take care of, they say her kids and grandchildren can't take care of her and doesn't have much time for her so she had to be taken to the nursing home to be cared for.

I heard from the other caregivers that his eldest son has a job here in California so it's good because her son can visit her. I also feel sorry for the old woman because his own children abandoned her here but I also think that maybe her sad and lonely life will be better if she can talk to someone or having someone to take care of her.

Two weeks ago since her children left her here, I noticed she was very enthusiastic for just an old woman. And because she has been here for a long time, she also told us that she was a very beautiful nurse in her time.

One day, when I was scheduled to clean her room. She told me a story that I think I will never forget..
