After the death of Edwin Bald, one of the greatest villains in Eldora (a world of magic and fantasy creatures) the faceless god gave him an unexpected chance. Even though Edwin was a lich who had broken many laws of nature and committed countless sins, the god offered to make him human again, but not in Eldora. This time, he would be reborn on modern Earth. Additionally, Edwin could choose any blessings (trait/ talent) from the list to help him in his new life. Unexpected to him, Edwin Bald woke up in the body of Asuka Volford, a fatty, trash, molester, who was even cuckolded by his girlfriend, making him commit suicide. Also born to a noble family. The story follows Edwin, and how he step by step become strong, creating his own legend, and ultimately becoming the leader of Earth's biggest criminal syndicate which aims to conquer the entire world, from mere third-rate villain despised by the whole world
In the year 2000, the world suddenly changed. Humans, who were exploring the boundaries of science and technology, faced something they couldn't explain with their normal logic.
Many rifts opened all around the Earth, causing natural disasters. From these rifts came monsters.
But these monsters weren't even the real threat compared to the nightmare humanity faced soon after, the ENDs! They looked human, but unlike regular people, they possessed devastating powers.
Humanity's strongest weapons like nukes and tanks proved totally ineffective.
The ENDs then conquered the entire Australian continent in the blink of an eye, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction.
When all hope seemed lost, prayers were finally answered. a miracle occurred, many humans fighting on the frontlines suddenly awakened, gaining the power of blessings. They somehow managed to counter the monsters and ENDs.
These awakened were then called Wardens, the protectors of humanity.
Now to protect civilians and organise the Wardens, Warden Guilds were formed. Each country having their own local guilds to defend its nation.
But this approach was not enough, to stop ENDs all countries needed to be united. So coming under the banner of the United Nations, a special organisation focused on protecting humanity and slaying ENDs. The commission of counter ENDs, CCE was formed.
Under CCE Ten national-level operating Warden Guilds, with the highest authority were created to fight on the frontlines against the ENDs.
There was also another force, the said nobility of the modern world, the 12 Great Clans. During the first war against the ENDs, later known Agantha war, these 12 families played a vital role, as they had many talented Wardens in their ranks.
Because of their huge achievements, the UN gave them the official status of the 12 Great Clans recognized worldwide.

<Year 2030>
Asuka walked towards the knocking door and swiftly pulled it open.
A petite, long-haired maid girl in a plain black dress and white apron stood outside. Upon seeing Asuka, she panicked a bit as she instinctively backed away slightly.
"Y...Young Master, I'm so sorry for disturbing you," she said in a trembling voice. "You said not to, but you hadn't left your room all day so I got worried..."
Her name was Yuna, around the same age as him, she was Asuka's personal maid.
Looking down at her, Asuka's lips tightened into a slight frown. 'Is she scared of me? Oh right, this bastard has a record of molesting girls. Tsk, I have to bear it in this life too.'
Bending a bit to the side Yuna tried to peek around into Asuka's messy room, her eyes going wide at the sight of scattered pills on the floor. She began visibly shaking with fear.
Noticing her reaction, Asuka quickly stepped forward to block her view. "Don't worry about that, it's not what you think."
Though still looking terrified, the maid met his gaze. Asuka continued. "Is there any katana I can use?"
Yuna blinked in confusion. "H-Huh? A katana, Young Master?"
"Our family is known for swordsmanship, right? Surely there should be a spare katana somewhere?"
Her frightened expression had now turned into one of utter bewilderment. First the pills, now asking for a katana out of nowhere, when had her young master ever shown interest in training? What was going on? Many questions rosed in her mind.
"Y....Yes, I can bring one," she replied hesitantly. "But Young Master, you haven't eaten for a whole day. Should I bring food first?"
'Am I hungry?' Asuka wondered, realising he hadn't considered it. Focusing, he finally recognized the growing hunger inside him.
"Hmm, yes, bring me something to eat first then."
"Your regular burger??"
"Burger?" Asuka quickly searched through his memories. "Ah yes, a burger. Yes, bring that."
Within two minutes, Yuna hurried back with a fresh, hot burger made in advance considering Asuka's usual habits.
Asuka stared at the burger, finally seeing it for real, he was now actually going to taste something after thousands of years. surprise and curiosity replaced his previous frown.
Without hesitation, Asuka took a large bite. Though new to this type of food, his body's instincts knew just what to do. As the flavours exploded across his tongue, his lips stretched wide into a satisfied smile.
'The...fuck? This is so good! I'm human again. I can finally taste real food!'
tears of joy formed near Asuka's eyes as he devoured the burger like a wild beast, droplets streaming down his fat cheeks. For the first time in an eternity, he experienced the simple pleasure of eating.
Yuna looked on in utter confusion at her master's bizarre behaviour, excited over a mere burger like he was eating it for the first time. This was not the Asuka she knew at all.
So many questions raised in her mind, but she decided to stay silent and observe for now, before reporting to the family. Questioning him directly was pointless, he never really bothered to ever answer her questions.
Noticing Yuna's bewildered stare, Asuka quickly recomposed himself and swallowed his current bite.
"Yuna, now bring me that katana while I finish eating."
"Ahh yes, Master."

Just as Asuka finished his burger and was licking his fingers clean, Yuna brought out a long black katana wrapped in a white cloth. The hilt and lower part were decorated with silver metal, giving it a surprisingly noble feel.
Asuka observed the katana with a bewildered gaze, not expecting it to look so exotic.
Picking it up with his left hand. he asked, "Is this really just a spare one?"
"No, master. It's your personal katana," Yuna replied, looking down. "When a clan descendant turns 12, they receive their own katana made by the clan's most skilled blacksmith. You may have forgotten since you never used it before."
As Asuka studied his katana, his lips stretched into a wide grin. 'In this life, I will dedicate myself to the way of the katana. Maybe then I'll understand you,' he thought, remembering memories from his past life.
Just then, his eye caught the book Yuna held in her left hand. "Yuna, what's that?"
"Oh, it's the family's basic martial arts manual. I thought you might need it," she said, offering him the book.
"Good, I just needed that. You're quite capable, Yuna. Sorry, I never appreciated it before," Asuka said, taking the manual.
Yuna's confused expression turned to one of surprise, a blush appearing on her cheeks. She didn't expect such a response from Asuka. "It's nothing, master."
"Thank you for always being there for me," Asuka said with genuine sincerity in his voice.
Though this was the first time he was truly seeing Yuna, from past Asuka's memories, he could tell she had always been by his side, through right and wrong she was always there to support him.
Her dedication was a bit suspicious, but so far she seemed to have only served him wholeheartedly with no ill intent.
With a simple nod, Asuka headed towards the training grounds, katana and martial arts manual in hand. Yuna followed closely behind him.

Second Chapter of the Day........ Did you enjoy it?
Extra Info: Asuka's connection to the Kaito clan (a Japanese clan renowned for their katana mastery) was purely coincidental. He would have chosen the katana as his main weapon in this life regardless. This choice is tied to his past, which will be revealed as the story progresses.
