House Ravencrest stood as the shield of the Northern Frontier for over seven hundred years. Its banners flew above Frostfall Fortress. Its knights guarded humanity against the horrors beyond the Eternal Forest. Its name inspired respect across the Empire. Then it all fell apart. Betrayed by allies, surrounded by enemies, and consumed by a war that should never have happened, House Ravencrest was destroyed. His father died defending the North. His mother was murdered. His sister never lived long enough to see adulthood. And Ethan Ravencrest failed to save any of them. After making his final stand amid the ruins of Frostfall Fortress, Ethan expects only death. Instead, he awakens twenty years in the past. Back before the conspiracies. Back before the betrayals. Back before the fall of House Ravencrest. This time, however, he does not return empty-handed. Alongside his regression comes the mysterious War God System, a power capable of revealing hidden truths, measuring growth, and guiding him toward a future he once believed impossible. He carries the memories of a fallen commander, knowledge of disasters yet to come, and a second chance granted by fate itself. This time, Ethan swears, it will be different. His father will live. His mother will live. His sister will live. And House Ravencrest will never fall again. But changing the future is not as simple as knowing it. Ancient powers stir in the shadows. Monsters gather beyond the Northern Frontier. Noble houses weave conspiracies behind smiling faces. And buried deep within House Ravencrest lies a secret capable of shaking the Empire itself. In a world of knights, mages, monsters, and war, Ethan must become strong enough to challenge destiny before destiny destroys everything he loves once more. For the North. For his family. For House Ravencrest.

Shameless author here. :) Writing a review for your own novel is harder than it sounds. If I praise it too much, you'll think I'm biased. If I don't praise it enough, you'll wonder why I wrote it. So let's do this the simple way. And if you have any questions about the novel, feel free to leave them in the comments! - "So, what is this novel about?" It's the story of Ethan Ravencrest, a commander of the Northern Frontier who loses everything he swore to protect. His family, his homeland, and the future he fought for are destroyed before his eyes. Just when all hope seems lost, Ethan is given a second chance and returns to the past with a mysterious system known as the War God System. - "What kind of protagonist is Ethan?" Ethan isn't a genius schemer who always has the perfect answer, nor is he a flawless hero. He is a soldier, a leader, and a man carrying the memories of countless mistakes. He knows what the future holds, but changing it is far more difficult than simply knowing it. - "Will he be overpowered?" Not at the beginning. Ethan will struggle, make mistakes, and face enemies far stronger than himself. However, this is a progression fantasy, and I can confidently say that the future power scaling will be significant. The journey starts small, but it won't stay that way forever. - "What kind of story should I expect?" Kingdom-building, military campaigns, politics, diplomacy, warfare, character growth, frontier development, and worldbuilding. The story begins in the frozen north, but the scope will gradually expand far beyond a single territory or even a single kingdom. - "What's special about the power system?" Advancement in this world isn't as straightforward as simply gaining levels. There are multiple paths to power, different methods of progression, and strengths that cannot be measured by raw combat ability alone. - "Will there be action?" Definitely. Expect monster hunts, battlefield tactics, military campaigns, duels, wars, and plenty of moments where one decision can change the fate of thousands. - "Will there be romance?" Yes, though it won't be the main focus of the story. - "How often are you updating?" Currently, I'm aiming for one chapter every day. As long as life doesn't launch a surprise attack, that's the plan. - And finally... "Why did you give your own novel five stars?" Because if the author doesn't believe in his own story, who will? Besides, I've spent enough time staring at these chapters to qualify as their biggest fan. Now I have a question for you: What are you most looking forward to seeing in the future? The kingdom-building? The military campaigns? The politics? The War God System? The character relationships? Or the larger mysteries of the world? Got any questions about the novel? Leave them in the comments! Whether it's about Ethan, the War God System, the Northern Frontier, or something completely random, I'd be happy to answer. I'd love to hear what hooked you and what you're hoping to see as the story progresses. :)
