Noah is nine years old, lives in a hut on a hill, and is absolutely certain his grandfather is making everything up. The old man tells stories about wars he led. About kings he stood beside. About battles that shook the continent. Noah has heard them all a thousand times. They’re great stories. They’re obviously lies. The man wears the same shirt three days in a row and grows his own vegetables. So when Noah finally works up the courage to steal his grandfather’s journal, his only goal is to catch the old liar in his own words. He does not get what he expected.
