The Walking Disaster in a Suit

Amara had barely stepped out of the office building when she felt the weight of the day pressing down on her. Between managing the chaos of the reality show and keeping Elara under the radar, she deserved a long break. Or at least a stiff drink.

Her parents, ever the picture of refinement and controlled intensity, flanked her like two guards escorting a highly valuable prisoner. Not that Amara felt particularly valuable at the moment. If anything, she felt like she'd just survived a corporate war zone.

"So," her father started, his voice as cold and calculating as ever. "Today went well. Felix said you handled the situation with Elara… adeptly."

"Of course, Felix would say that," Amara thought to herself. Felix was probably laughing in his office right now, kicking his feet up and enjoying the disaster she'd been thrown into. She would get him back for that someday, somehow.
