First Phase.

Sitting on his roof, Loki observed the shootouts and other ridiculous plans of the people around him with no empathy, he had stopped caring about other people in this line of work long ago in the week.

Perhaps the way thieves treated lives as less than worthless was rubbing off on him but Loki didn't mind, to him as long as Walburga was revived and Kreacher and Elane remained safe, everything in the world was alright, at least for now.

He had learnt that caring about selfish people like these was going to doom him to an early death eventually. And so he decided not to worry.

'Compared to the last few days, everything is even more ferocious today.' Loki said noticing the frequency of shots being fired going up.

If before it was only a few times an hour earlier, now it was a couple of times every minute. It felt like a festive season had arrived, and everyone was exploding crackers in joy.

Eight teams were camping on the pathways to the shack, waiting for a potential high roller to grace their way so they could steal his money and deliver it to the shack under cover fire of their 'friends'.'

On top of that several people were camping directly around the shack to make sure that no one would attack their 'friends' when they came to deliver goods.

The shack itself had turned into a pseudo-neutral zone since no one wanted to be shot while trading their loot.

It was a mess but Loki did not worry since his plan was not dependent on it reducing, in fact, he wanted everyone to turn even more insane.

His plan was dependent on the madness that had been created.

'Probably a Beyonder item, but there's another way to make them more insane.'

Pulling out the pocket watch that was hanging from his waist, Loki looked at the time and watched the minute's hand slowly approach twelve while the hour's hand did its best to approach six.

Six o'clock was an important time since the competition ended at six.

*BANG*

Loki watched as he saw the last few stragglers move on the pathway to the shack by shooting restlessly at whatever of the gangs they could see, a few attempting to sneak their way in by finding a gap because the shack itself was neutral ground.

Noticing a particular man lying hidden in the shadows of a building like a snake, Loki wondered, 'Ha. Isn't he just like me? Waiting for the opportune moment to strike?'

But he wasn't given enough time to spend on the thought since the man died not long after when a different team noticed the commotion he caused by bumping into trash cans and flanked him from both sides, killing him and earning compensation in the form of loot that they quickly delivered to the shack.

'Will I die just like that too?'

'No. I will win.'

'I must win.'

Loki remained uninterested in the face of it all, yet a serious expression painted his face.

As the clock struck six, the campers slowly moved out of their hiding spot creating a ruckus as they moved to the shack a little wary of each other since they had all seen and participated in demonstrating the ugliest sides of humanity in the last week.

They all stopped a few meters away from the shack since the man in the shack had left his desk and arrived in front of them.

"Congratulations on surviving." The man in the shack said with a hearty smile which seemed to only get on the nerves of a few but they wisely chose to remain silent.

"I would love to announce the result but if there are any of you that want to add a contribution at the last minute you can." The man said and paused but no one moved to add anything.

"Come on old man! Announce who won already! I'm tired, I want to go eat her after I win! If you know what I mean!" A man, in the crowd of those who remained, shouted earning a few laughs, relieving the tension present.

But a dangerous suspicion still remained in everyone's heart, their eyes were sharp and their hands hovered incitingly close to their weapons.

Each of them gazed at the man in the shack, but they were also looking at each other.

Some of them had bloody eyes, while a few were even drooling a little.

Loki didn't know if the normal people had learnt of what was happening to them but he didn't interfere, instead he calmly stood up to join what was about to happen.

"If that is what you wish." The man in the shack replied with a sticky smile.

But before the old man could announce victory everyone heard a low *THUD*.

Looking at the source of the sound, everyone saw a knife had pierced the electrical pole beside the shack, but what surprised everyone was not the knife itself but the thin wire attached to it from the roof of a tall house, the house where the plague doctor stood.

But before they could argue about what was happening, they all heard a buzzing sound.

*ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ*

"Huh? What is that?" Someone from the crowd shouted after spotting something coming down on the line.

Looking towards the sound, everyone spotted a bag sliding on the wire, moving with speed towards the man in the shack.

"Huh? Is this a last-minute entry?" Someone queried but there was no response so the man in the shack shouted at Loki to ask him a question.

"Is this your entry!?" the man in the shack asked.

But Loki ignored his question and answered with a question of his own, "Why don't you want to tell them Mister Man in the shack!?"

"...Tell them what?"

"That they're here just to act as sacrifices for Mr. A to advance his power!?" Loki shouted and instantly turned the rowdy crowd silent as they stared at both the man in the shack and Loki for more answers.

"Is that true?" A lone man in the crowd voiced the question of the masses.

"A total of thirty thousand pounds is in that bag!" Loki shouted something else, but the information caused everyone to look at him with wide eyes, especially the man in the shack since he realised where the thirty thousand pounds came from.

The man in the shack was stunned and Loki used this as an opportunity to create further chaos. He shouted, "Whoever wishes to take the money can take it! But you just have to kill him and his boss in the shack!!"

There was silence for a moment but before the people could gain their sensibilities, everyone heard a loud *BANG* in the form of a gunshot.

To everyone's expected shock, the man in the shack collapsed onto the floor with a bullet hole in his head right in between his eyes.

"I did it!!" Someone shouted but that was enough to set fire to the keg that was filled with explosives, causing all the eight remaining groups to pull out their guns and shoot at each other to run down the competition.

Among the chaos that ensued, Loki continued with his plan and got down from the building before sprinting towards the shack.

'Now all I need to do is knock out a mid-sequence Beyonder and the second part of my plan will be finished flawlessly.'

'Definitely an easy task. Surely nothing will go wrong.'
