Dragon Rising 4

In Whiterun:

Adrianne Image:

It was already noon, and I was standing at Whiterun's gate.

Entering it, I saw Adrianne Avenicci working at the grindstone, sharpening a blade, I got behind her and hugged her, making her yelp in surprise.

"Darius!" She called my name with a smile.

Getting out of her embrace, she stood up facing me with a smile, I smiled back, "Miss me?" I asked.

"You were here just a few hours ago, how can I," She replied.

"Well, I quickly ran back, thinking you might be missing me, I guess I was wrong," I said making a sad face.

With a worried face and a slight blush she took my hand, "N-no, I missed you," She said.

'Isn't she married, why is she acting like this, I don't think my skill is active on her, so why?' I questioned myself.

Deciding to ask her, "Hey, I wanted to know, are you married?" I said. Hearing my question her blush deepened, "Wh-what, why are you asking me that?" she asked.

"Just asking," I shrugged, "W-well, I'm not married, yet," she replied, which shocked me, there are a lot of changes in this world, even though small, It might cause a butterfly effect, like how Camilla was kidnapped.

"Yet?" I questioned, focusing my attention on her.

"M-my father arranged a marriage, it's next month," She replied meekly.

"Why does it sound like you didn't get to decide?" I asked.

"I-it, it's a bit political," She said, gesturing me to come closer, seeing it I brought my ear to her mouth, "It's beneficial for him and me if I marry into a native's house," she said, her voice a little regretful.

A/N[Native meaning people of Skyrim, Avenicci family isn't from Skyrim]

"But if you don't want to, then don't?" I said, turning my face to her.

"Well, I don't want to, but it's an insurance that if a war breaks loose, and the Stormcloacks win, then we'll be exiled, or worse, killed," She said, realizing how close my face was, her face turned into a tomato, she tried to move back but her path was blocked by the grindstone.

She was about to fall, but I grabbed her by the waist, "Where are you running?" she looked up to see my face, and after a few minutes without answering me, she moved close until her lips rested on mine.

And I reciprocated it, after a few minutes of making out she pulled away, "What was that?" I asked.

"I-I don't want to marry that meathead," she replied burying her face in my chest, "I want to marry someone like you, no, I wanna marry you," her tone filled with stubbornness.

"Well before that, I'd like to disclose that I already have four women," I said with a small smile.

"What?" she yelled in surprise.

"No, I counted it wrong," I said, 'There's also Charlotta, Ysolda, I haven't yet met her though,' I thought.

"I think it's five or six, but don't think that's the end," I said with a smirk.

"H-how? How did they agree," She asked with genuine curiosity, "No, how can you marry so many women?" she asked.

"Why not?" I asked feigning ignorance.

"Well, don't you believe in the 8 and 1 divines?" She questioned.

"I, I do, but that doesn't mean I can't do what I want," I replied.

She was about to say something but I interrupted her, "And, I'm gonna show you, I'm no less than a divine," I said winking at her.

"And how are you gonna do that?" she said not believing me.

"Well, when you hear the sky roar 'Dovakin' will you believe me?" I asked her, and she took it as a challenge, "If I even hear a 'D' from the sky, I'll do anything you say," she said her eyes challenging me.

"Well then it's a promise," I said with a smirk, accepting her challenge.

After a few minutes of bickering back and forth, I bid farewell to her. I didn't see Calotta at the marketplace, she's probably having lunch or something.

Sigh! I moved up, toward Dragonsreach, entering it, I first headed to Farengar to give him the tablet.

"Ah! You're back," he greeted me.

"Yes, here," I said as I presented the tablet.

"Yes, yes, thank you for your help," He said grabbing the tablet from my hand and I stood there thinking, whether I should ask him about Delphine.

"You're still here? Oh! for the reward right, You have to talk with the Jarl," He misinterpreted me standing here, "Yeah, I know that. What I wanted to ask is did a hooded woman contact you?" I asked.

"W-what are you talking about?" He said sweating bullets.

"Nothing, forget I asked," I ignored him, 'She probably threatened him, and I don't think he knows much anyway,' I turned around to get out of his Court when I bumped into a sweating Irileth, "Darius! You're back," she looked up.

I leaned in for a kiss to which she reciprocated, after a few seconds of making out, we parted I turned to see Farengar, whose jaw was hanging low and eyes wide open like Enel. He looked hilarious.

"W-what the hell is going on? Oh, Divines, help us," He joked.

"N-now is not the time for that. There's a dragon sighted near the West Watchtower. Follow me Farengar, and you two," She said with a light blush.

Farengar and I followed her to the War room, where we saw Balgruuf talking with a soldier.

He looked at me and asked, "You're back from Bleak Falls Barrow, Did you get what Farengar wanted?".

"Yeah, I just handed it to him," I replied.

"Finally, some good news in a while," He sighed.

"So, did you see this dragon with your own eyes?" Jarl asked the soldier he was talking with before.

"Uh... that's right. We saw it coming from the South. It was fast... faster than anything I've seen." he replied.

"What did it do? Is it attacking the watchtower?" Jarl asked.

"No, my lord. It was just circling around it," Soldier replied.

"Good work, We'll take it from here, get some rest, you've earned it," balgruuf dismissed the soldier.

Looking at Irileth he said, "Irileth, you'd better gather some guardsmen and get down there," Irileth quickly replied, "I've already ordered my men to muster near the main gate,"

"Meticulous," I complimented to which she smiled

jarl sighed, "Good. Don't fail me," and then looked at me, "There's no time to stand on ceremony, my friend. I need your help again," "I want you to go with Irileth and help her fight this dragon,"

"Yeah, Yeah," Not paying mind because I've heard these dialogues too many times, I moved toward irileth, "Shall we, Miss," I asked with a smile, she moved ahead without answering me, 'What happened?' I asked myself.

Before we got to the stairs Farengar spoke, "I should come along, I would very much like to see this dragon," Before Balgruuf could say anything, "Don't. Risking your life for a view isn't good. I'll leave the bones for you to examine," I smirked.

He sighed, "You just want alone time with her," he said looking at Irileth with a smile.

Irileth quickly ran down the stairs without saying anything, "Whatever you say, man," I replied as I followed suit.

A/N[Been a while, I'm writing two fic at the same time that's why, the second one I won't be realising it until at least 1 vol is finished. It's an original]
