A Newbie ("Moved to a new link")

"Hurry up dear you will get late. Do you seriously wanna go or not?" said Sana's mom as she was starting the car. Today is the day she is finally entering her college life. She is moving to the college hostel though her house is in the same city because she wanted to experience the hostel life. She was excited, enthusiastic, nervous and many more feelings were surrounding her.

"I think you are more excited than me for my college life, we still have half an hour left mom and anyway classes are not starting today. So we can take our time." She sat beside her mom in the car after loading all the luggage in the car trunk. Also some of those were on the seat. "I wish dad didn't get called for a meeting out of the blue, then he would have also come with us." This morning her dad was also accompanying her to the college, but he had to leave urgently after a call.

"Are you not happy that I am driving you to the college? Anyway, I am a better driver than your dad." said her mom, giving a bright smile.

"Of course I am happy mom, I am finally....finally moving to my beloved college fun-filled life. Let's go!!" Though her dad didn't come she had to leave and she can come back whenever she wants after all they are in the same city.

They left the house after the light discussion from which direction they should go as there are two ways one of which has a smooth road but long and another is short but has a damaged road. So they left on the smooth road because her mom concluded that Sana has to travel on the rough road of life some or the other time over the course of her career. At least now she should travel smoothly. It was silly but cute and also it is the truth.

"Mom, you know Ash also joined the same college. 'Ash' , short for Aashish, is her childhood bestie. They have studied together since forever so they thought that the tradition should be continued and joined the same college on purpose.

"He is also there. That's cool, now I can get all your information from him."

"No mom, I told him to strictly ignore you, I didn't join the same college as him to be spied on."

"Chill, I am just kidding. I don't have the time to spy on my one and only daughter. And anyway you really think he will ignore me, you are mistaken kiddo."

"Mom, don't call me that, I am 19 now and I have my ways to blackmail him."

"Okay then let's see if he ignores me or not."

In the next fifteen minutes they reached the college's girls hostel. Sana and her mom with the help of hostel staff moved all her stuff in her room. She has two roommates. They have Bunk beds in the rooms of this hostel. After all the work they have to go to the main college for the confirmation that the student arrived in the hostel.

"Will Ash come here or are you going to a boys hostel?" Asked her mom, they need to know who wins. "Mom! why will we go there and also he is not moving to the hostel he says he will live with his parents. He must be somewhere near the help desk. Let's go." She held her mom's hand and ran towards the help desk which was on the other side of the hall. This college kept their help desk in a corner for no reason at all. She filled the confirmation and attendance form and waited for Ash to come. He arrived after 5-10 minutes. The first thing he did was greet her mom. As soon as he greeted her she gave weird funny glances to Sana and she gave a death stare to Ash.

"I told you something!" Sana shouted and he was like, "OMG! I almost died from a heart attack. What? Why are you shouting like an idiot?" Though he thought this was an idiotic thing to do, still he also shouted back at her. She glared at him and he remembered that she told him to ignore her mom.

"Oh! that, how can I possibly ignore such a beautiful lady just because her daughter is my friend who wants me to ignore her mom. No, no, no."

"There he goes again with his stupid cheesy lines." she said.

"Thank you dear." said her mom. "His cheesy lines are one of his charms. Am I right Ash?" her mom added.

"Absolutely right aunty." he replied and then they both started laughing.

Ash finished all his paperwork and accompanied Sana and her mom. He came alone to the college so Sana's mom offered him a ride to his home.

Next Day Sana in her hostel room

"Good morning girls, yesterday I came late and you were sleeping so I didn't introduce myself." Sana tried to cheer up the mood because the vibe was boring for her.

"Shh" says one of the roommates she pointed towards another girl lying on the bed and whispered, "She is Tia our senior she is nice but not a morning person so keep your voice low otherwise she will get mad at you now and then apologise like a hundred times later and you won't be able to handle that."

Sana signalled "Okay" with her hand. Later when she was getting ready for the classes a short-heighted girl slowly creeped in through the door which was slightly open saying "Are you the newbie?" in a low voice.

Sana freaked out, "Oh gosh! What the hell? Who are you?" she shouted. Also the senior woke up due to that.

"Can't you be quiet? You have a shouting disorder or something every now and then you keep shouting."

Tia(the senior) saw Sana with her mom and Ash at the help desk yesterday. Sana apologized for that and when she turned around the creepy girl was gone. The other roommate is Suzy. She went earlier because her classes were differently scheduled so only Sana saw the creepy stranger. She went outside to check if she wanted any help but all the doors were closed thinking maybe everyone left for classes and some must be sleeping. She ignored the silence and went to the college.
