One Piece: Rock's Gift Pack

I was sitting in my room, browsing through the internet. My mind was occupied with one thing, One Piece.

I have been in love with One Piece since I was a child. I still remember the day I was walking through the book store with my now late father, seeing a collection of One Piece volumes.

There were a lot less volumes of One Piece when I was 5. The farthest the story had gotten was Marineford. I begged my father to get me it, thinking it looked cool. My father soon succumbed to my request, and the rest was history.

A lot has changed since Marineford, ever since Ace's execution shocked the world.

3 of the Yonkos have fallen, Aokoji left the marine, and the destruction of the Warlord system. The world was flipped upside down due to the catastrophic war.

Shanks now has decided to pursue the One Piece, and the creation of Cross Guild posed a great threat to the whole world.

One Piece was now in its final saga, and a part of me didn't like that. I'm happy that my favorite story is reaching the ending point, where all the stuff that Oda built will come to fruition, but I wanted more time.

One Piece seemed to be a constant in my life. When I was getting bad grades in school, One Piece was there.

When my parents were fighting like usual, One Piece was there to distract myself from the chaos outside of my room.

Now that my father has passed away from a car accident, and my mother was a shell of herself, One Piece is still here. If One Piece ends, I don't think I could find an equivalent distraction from my shitty life.

The world of One Piece was fascinating, and in my opinion, it's the greatest recent piece of fiction in the world. The world building, characters, and the symbolic themes, it all blended so well, it makes such a wonderful story.

As I was browsing One Piece forums about the recent chapters, a pop up appeared. I was about to quickly click it away, before I read what it said.

In red letters, it read: " Venture into the One Piece world". I stopped my action of closing the pop up and eyed the words carefully. Is it like a game?

I looked at it for another minute before curiosity got the best of me. I clicked the pop up, which made another tab opened.

As the tab finally finished loading, in the middle of it, it said, " Before you can play, you have to answer some questions for us". I complied with the request and clicked "Continue"

The first question appeared and it was easy. It said, " Which of the 4 blues would you like to begin in?".

It had to be the East Blue. It was stated in One Piece that it was known as the very weakest blue.

The average bounty there is 3,000,000 beli. Any bounty that reaches over 10,000,000 is considered impressive. I picked "East Blue" out of the three other option.

The next question appeared and it was weird. Not because it didn't make sense, but I didn't understand what it was supposed to mean.

The question was, " Which one of these formidable people is your favorite?". It had 4 options, each of them being a part of the Old Generation in the One Piece world.

The first option was the Hero Of The Marines, Monkey D Garp. He was the strongest marine in his prime and one of Roger's greatest opponents.

He has a very powerful title in the marines, Vice Admiral. the only reason why he isn't an Admiral or Fleet Admiral, the highest title of the marines, is because he rejected the promotion many times. This is because he didn't want to serve the Celestial Dragons directly.

He was known for cornering Gol D Roger many times, as he was in a little group of people who could face Roger. Gol D Roger sees Garp as an equal, as he stated that Garp and him had almost killed each other on a separate occasion.

He reached a level of power that only few can boast of.

The second option on the list was the former Strongest Man in the World, Edward Newgate, or more commonly known as Whitebeard.

Whitebeard was known as one of the strongest people alive during his prime. This is supported by his feat of fighting another strong adversary, Gol D Roger to a standstill for 3 days.

He had the title " Strongest Man In The World" due to his incredible strength, which he had before Roger's death and to his final breaths. It's widely debated on the internet everyday, who was stronger, Roger or Whitebeard.

After Roger's death, he became one of the original 4 Yonkos. Among those 4 powerhouses, he was deemed " Closest Man to One Piece". It's likely Whitebeard would have been the Pirate King if he wished to take Roger's treasure.

The third option on the list was the former Pirate King, Gol D Roger. The man who flipped the world upside down and ushered in a new era or piracy, with just a few words.

Roger was undoubtedly one of the strongest pirates of all time, with only a few to match his power. He was considered unstoppable in battle.

Due to his Pirate King status, he held a big bounty of 5,564,800,000, the biggest bounty in pirating history. He conquered the sea with no devil fruit, a very powerful feat.

Roger also had the Voice of All Things, which allowed him to locate Ponygleaphs. It was the ability that aided him immensely in his journey.

He had one of the famed 12 supreme swords, Ace which was his primary weapon to fight with.

Many things are a mystery of Gol D Roger, but one thing is for sure. He is the most influential pirate of all time, even after his death.

The 4th and final option of the question was the most mysterious pirate ever, Rocks D Xebec.

Not many things are known about Xebec, but he was a very polarizing person to say the least.

He is stated to be Roger's first and formidable rival, more so than Whitebeard, Strongest Man, and Garp, Hero Of The Marines.

He was the captain of, in my opinion, the most powerful crew ever, the Rocks Pirates.

In this crew, his subordinates were Whitebeard, Kaido, Big Mom, Shiki, and many more notable pirates. He had three future Yonkos under his command! Sure, the crew didn't exactly get along, but that was beside the point.

His dream was far grander than any pirate. It was to be King Of The World. Not of the seas like Roger, the Pirate King, but like the whole world, like Imu. He would fail at this dream, but only because Garp and Roger joined forces to stop him, resulting in the "God Valley" indecent.

Rocks D Xebec is one of the most mysterious characters in One Piece, and the fact Oda is keeping him for later, means something. He will have an important role.

Now I had to make a decision, which one of these pirates is my favorite?

It was a tough decision, but taking in everything, I would have to say Rocks D Xebec. His dream, crew, and his mysterious nature is all things I like.

As I took my mouse, and clicked the 4th option, the website then told me my survey is complete. A 2 question survey? That's pretty short.

The website then displayed something. It read:

" Before we send you off, you will be receiving a gift pack that will aid you in this world. Based on your survey answers, you will be receiving the "Rocks D Xebec" gift pack. This gift pack contains:

Rock's Will - Inheriting his will, you will have the innate talent of Conquerors Haki. You will also have the Voice Of All Things, a very rare ability.

Rock's sword, Calamity- One of the 12 Supreme Blades. It has a unique trait of a creature trapped inside of it. It was sealed during the Void Century.

Yami Yami No Mi- The Yami Yami no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and control darkness at will, making the user a Darkness Human.

Sovereign Of Many- A ship that was used by the Rocks Pirate. It was made with Adam's Wood, the strongest wood.

What good gifts! This would definitely aid me in this game!

With Rock's Will, I upped my potential immensely. I can now unlock Advanced Conquerors, which Kaido said only a handful of the strongest can use.

Rock's sword, Calamity kind of confuses me. Being one of the 12 Supreme Swords is a great thing, but a creature inside of it? A creature from the Void Century none the less!

Yami Yami No Mi is probably my favorite gift. Such a powerful devil fruit with the control of darkness. It also has semi control of gravity. This will definitely aid me in this game.

Sovereign Of Many is such a cool name for a ship! It also has Adam's wood, something only powerful ship use like Oro Jackson and Thousand Sunny.

I clicked the "Accept" button on the screen. It then showed a countdown from 10.

I was then reminded that all of this was from a pop up ad. I then begin to get scared of what this countdown was all about. Maybe a virus?
