Yu-Gi-Oh: Fate Of Time

In a small apartment building, a man lying down on the floor slowly woke up.

"Urgh, where am i?"

I slowly stood up from the floor and looked around, confused on where i am.

"Oww my head… did I sleep in someone else apartment?" I looked around and heard a small voice in my head that got louder and louder.

System: [Welcome Ryze Minato.]

I slowly stood up and was holding my head, Thinking that i drank to much after work.

*Chuckle* "I'm starting to hear things in my head now, must still be tired from all the drinking with my coworkers."

System: [I'm afraid that you are not hearing things Ryze Minato, I am the system, Here to support you through the world of Yu-Gi-Oh, Also know in this world as Duel Monsters.]

I was looking toward the wall and was just laughing out loud.

"Hahaha!!! Really now?'' *Smirking*.

System: [It is clear that you don't believe me.]

"Heh, I wonder why, is it the fact that I'm hearing voices in my head, or the fact that you told me that I'm in the Yu-Gi-Oh world, You got to admit that sounds kinda farfetched.''

The voice in my head suddenly became quite and after a few minutes, Suddenly a pop upp message like a wirtual screen appears in front of him.

"Woah, What is this!?"

Name: [Ryze Minato]

Title: [None]

Duelist Points: (Dp) [1000]

Abilities: [Knowledge from old world]

[All Languages]

[Copy Ancient Powers: none so far]

"….What?" Looking at the Pop up screen, he became more suspicious on what's going on, he slowly went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and looked at a stranger.

"…No… No Freaking WAY!!!"

The stranger had brown hair and had a similar look as Kenichi from History Strongest Disapline, with a somewhat similar face as the Vagabond from the Yu-Gi-Oh games and had a body that had some muscles but not to much muscles.

"This is me!? Did I really transfer to the world of Yu-Gi-Oh? How? Why!?"

System: [I can answer that question, as you currently know, You have been transported here from your world to the world of Yu-Gi-Oh, The world have been distorted, and a darkness that should not be in this time line is here.]

"… Okay Time out, Before you explain why I'm here, I want to know, Why me? I only played the game at my childhood, There has to be more people that are more qualified for this?"

System: [That usually is the case, But the world reject such duelists, the world was only be able to transfer a duelist that only played in the old era, I was gifted only to those with that knowledge, to give missions and reward you with rare cards in order to prepare you for the world before i disappear.]

I couldn't believe what I heard, the so called system tells me that since I only have the knowledge of the old ways and cards I was gifted with the system and what does it mean it will disappear?.

With a hand on my forehead and closed eyes, I told the system to continue.

System: [The universe has gone a stray and effected the darkness, it has been increased more then it should and there for, We want you to assist the world and the Pharaoh to protect this world.]

Not gonna lie, This sounds ridiculous but I'm kinda excited, I loved Yugioh alot in my childhood, and being in the world makes it even more awesome, sure there might be more cons then pros but I really liked the characters alot, while thinking that I just realized a very crucial thing I need.

"Um system, I don't have a deck to use, how am I supposed to start? Especially when I only have a 1000 DP? And how do I get more?"

4 pop up screens suddenly shows up in front of me while the system explains.

System: [First: to get more DP, You need to duel, The stronger the duelist, the more DP you get, You can use the DP to shop at card shop in the world to get packs to get more cards.

Second: We will give you Ryze missions to complete, The rewards will be depends on the missions.

Third: with the ability *Copy Ancient Powers* you goal is to defeat opponents that hold's ancient powers such as, Millennium Items, The Seal Of Orichalcos and other artifacts and copy some of it's power to your own, So you can resist the darkness to come.

Fourth: we will give you an option to use your current DP to obtain a deck for you to use, if you use all the points you currently have, we will give you 3 Rare cards, anything less will give you a weaker deck and less rare cards.

"… Okay that is a lot to take in, *Sigh* oh well, I use all my points System."

System: [Are you sure Ryze? You can only do this once?]

With 100% confidence I said yes and in just a few seconds later, A deck appears right in front of me, with 3 rare card.

"Okay, Let's have a look at this deck!"

"… This sucks, Only some cards are awesome… wait? What time and rules are we doing?"

System: We are 3 month away from the Battle City tournament to start and the rules has been changed to the Battle City Rules.

"Hmm, That means I can use all spell cards on the opponent turn as well, as long it is set."

Normally i should not be able to use spell cards on the opponents turn, however, the old Yu-Gi-Oh era, the rules was not set correctly and was still in the experimental state, While thinking that, I was looking for a strategy and get better cards, I look at the 3 Rare cards I got.

"Woah, These cards can come in handy!!!"

So the first chapter is out, This is a trial run, so we will see if I do more chapters or not, There will at least be 19 more chapters, But after that we will see.

I'm not the best writer, I just write on what I have on my head, but we will see how it goes.

Next Chapter will be a Duel so hope you all are looking forward to it.
