"It's time to wake up neighbour...~" Your eyes slowly fluttered open and you immediately squinted as light registered in your mind. Grumbling you lifted a hand to your forehead, why did your head hurt so much? "Ah, there you are! The star of the show...~" Through your drowsiness, a figure stood in the static of the TV, Wally Darling. "Wally?" You muttered sliding off of the couch and onto your knees. "That's my name, don't wear it out...~" He chuckled, "Come closer so I can look at your face...~" You did as you were told and crawled towards the TV, as soon as you were close enough yellow hands reached out from the static and cupped your cheeks then Wally's face. "What an adorable face you have...~" Wally caressed your cheek with his thumb, lovingly staring into your eyes. You felt like you'd melt in his hands under his soft gaze. "I knew you couldn't resist bringing me into your world, I'm glad that you did. As promised you're all that matters to me now...~" You snapped out of your trance at these words remembering what had happened, "What about Wyatt? What happened to him?" You asked frantically. Wally laughed letting go of your face to try and contain himself. "Oh my dear, how do you think I'm able to touch you or even speak to you right now?" It became clear after that, Wyatt's body being gone, the blood and knife just disappearing. It all made sense now, Wally had taken over Wyatt's body and was now living inside of it. "I know it's a lot to take in, I can't imagine how much it hurt when you did that but not to worry I'm here now. I'll be your best friend forever and ever...~" Wally stepped out of the TV and bent down to your level, forcing you to look at him, "Don't you want that? For me to be your best friend?" His eyes tore into every inch of your being. "This is what you wanted right?" His gaze consumed you, it ate you up inside, it was the only thing you could focus on. "I sacrificed my best friend for you..." You muttered suddenly feeling inferior to him. He straightened his posture and stared down at you, "Of course, that is what you do for your god...~" He folded his arms behind his back smiling down at you. You looked up at him from your position on your knees, "My god?" His eyelids droop more and his smile turns to a smirk at the word, god. "You've worshipped me since you were born. You've always loved me. More than that useless friend of yours. Though I shouldn't say he's useless, his body made a fantastic vessel...~" Wally hugged himself humming happily. "You're not my god, you're not my Wally. Wyatt was not useless! He wasn't a toy for you to use!" You felt so angry now, this wasn't what you wanted. "Oh please darling don't be like that. He wasn't a believer, he was useless to me. He had no place in my heavenly kingdom but you my dear?" Wally knelt down and grabbed your face, "You have a special place in my heart. You're a precious specimen that I need." You pushed him away and stumbled back. "Keep your filthy hands away from me! I don't know who you think you are but I won't let you act like you're so high and mighty! I brought you into this world, I could easily take you out of it!" You yelled clenching your fists and furrowing your brows. Wally's smile dropped, "I'm giving you a chance to be something more and this is how you repay me? It seems like I'll have to punish you to make you understand your place in this world now." He snapped his fingers and suddenly you were falling through the void. The air in your lungs was knocked out of you when you crashed into the now-cold black waters, everything hurt and you couldn't move. "This is for your own good darling, it won't take long...~" A sharp pain in your stomach made you scream it was worse than anything you'd ever felt, and you could see droplets of blood forming on your skin. It clicked, he was going to rip you in half, "WALLY! PLEASE! I PROMISE I WON'T RESIST YOU! I'LL BE GOOD I PROMISE!! I'LL DO WHAT YOU TELL ME TO PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO ME!" It was useless the pain got worse and worse until pop! Blood and guts splattered into the darkness, and your vision becomes blurry. Wally or what is pretending to be Wally stands over you, its face shrouded in darkness leaving its wild eyes staring down at you. As you felt your body being consumed by death it uttered one word to you.
"Pathetic."
"Neighbour? Neighbour, it's time to wake up!" You shot up clutching your stomach and looked around. You were alive right where you had passed out, on your living room floor by the TV. "Oh thank goodness! I thought you'd never wake up!" Wally. You turned to him and grabbed his neck, "How dare you? Is this some sick joke to you?" You seethed. "Neighbour...please let me go I don't know what you're talking about!" You came to realize that this Wally looked different, he was much smaller, a lot cuter as well. This was the real Wally. "Geez I'm sorry Wally. I thought you were someone else..." You rubbed the back of your neck as you let him go. Wally rested his hand on your shoulder, "What's troubling you, neighbour?" You glanced at him with tired eyes thinking about the rollercoaster of a night you've had and then you hugged him letting your emotions flow. "Everything Wally...everything is troubling me..." You sobbed clutching onto his small body. He rubbed your back telling you it was alright and to let everything out. It felt good knowing that the monster wasn't the real Wally, this sweet creature was the one you wanted not the devil that threatened your very existence. As you calmed down you slowly pulled away from Wally with a smile, "Thank you, Wally." You gave him a little kiss on his forehead causing him to flush and smile as well. "You're welcome, neighbour!" He exclaimed grinning. It felt good to be in his presence after the horrific events that transpired minutes earlier, this gentle moment was a perfect palette cleanser for you. "Would you like an apple, Wally?" He nodded happily and you giggled, he was quite the adorable bundle of joy. He skipped behind you as you went into your kitchen, you grabbed a big shiny red apple and handed it to him. He thanked you and then stared at it, content with his new treasure. You grabbed an apple for yourself and took a bite, a thought came to your mind, what time was it? You hadn't checked in a while, you just remember that before you and Wyatt had fallen asleep it was late but how late was it now? You looked at the clock you keep in your kitchen fear seeping in again, it was well into the day but your home remained dark only illuminated by the TV and your kitchen light. Something was wrong. You felt eyes on you again, it was watching you and you were still in its world. "Wally, why don't we go read or paint a picture in my bedroom?" You asked trying to hide the tremble in your voice. He smiled and agreed, as you walked up the stairs you tried to ignore the blackness that seeped through the cracks of your floor that seemed to follow you. You knew this moment of peace with the real Wally wouldn't last long but you had to make it last for as long as you could before the other Wally made his way back to you.
