Rot.

"I know you can't resist me, darling, you need me..." Wally paced around the shadows of the mock home he had made to keep you as close as possible, he couldn't hide his annoyance with you. How dare you act so childishly towards him? Now you were painting with that little runt that wishes he could be everything Wally was. "I'm better than them. Can't you see that darling? I'm the real Wally I'll always be the real one!" He stood in front of your guest bathroom's mirror a deep frown on his usually joyful face, "What do you see in them that I don't have?" Wally put his hand on the mirror staring into the eyes of his reflection. "I am Wally Darling, I am a god, I am your god. I am the only thing you need." He remembered the way you had begged him to not hurt you, "Oh, darling...~" He giggled thinking about how adorable you were when you were afraid. "I'd do anything to see that face again..." He smirked at the reflection in the mirror, if he got rid of that sugar-coated creature that pretended to be him then you'd give him that face. That face he loved so much, "I'm going to make you love me again...you'll be mine forever and ever darling...~" He began to laugh manically, this was so entertaining for him, playing with your emotions to always keep you on your toes. You were going to worship and love him like you used to and he'd make sure of that.

You had since forgotten about the darkness that was spreading throughout your house, happily painting with Wally, "Is that Julie?" You asked with a smile. "Yes! She's my best friend after Barnaby!" Wally exclaimed grinning. You felt so much better getting to paint with him, he was so funny and so sweet. "What are you painting neighbour?" He scoots closer to you looking down at your drawing. You stared at the puddles of red, white, and black on your paper and sighed, "I'm not sure what it is..." You knew what it was, you know why you painted it. When you had trouble expressing yourself you'd always make a painting of colour splotches related to whatever was troubling you. "Oh! Is it a hidden meaning painting?" Wally tilted his head squinting his eyes. "I guess you could call it that." He began to make the most adorable squeaking noise and clapped his hands. Your heart melted at his adorable mannerisms, you could spend an eternity with him and never get bored. You were in a blissful state just the two of you painting in your bedroom nothing else mattered, nothing else existed except this peaceful space nothing was going to hurt you. You were blissfully unaware of the darkness that crept through your house, bleeding through floorboards and walls, the world outside of your bedroom was being warped into something unrecognizable, it was as if your home was rotting from the inside out.

Wally sat in front of your TV staring into the static, "How about I give you a new friend to play with darling?" He opened his mouth, reaching down his throat as he pulled out Wyatt's decaying body. "I'd say you still have one more use. A filthy human for a filthy mutt." Wally tossed the body into the static and waited. Large blue paws sprung from the static then a torso, then the legs. "Oh, Barnaby whatever happened to your head?" He snickered watching Barnaby's body frantically search for its head. He reached into the TV and pulled Barnaby's head out by the ear and kicked it over to its body, "There you go. Your head." Barnaby placed his head where it belonged and grinned at Wally. "Thank you, Wally! I don't know what I would do without you!" Wally put on his best face for Barnaby, he wanted to seem friendly. "What are friends for?" He gave Barnaby's head a gentle pet, "Oh, by the way, there's a new neighbour who seems to be struggling to get comfortable, could you help them?" Barnaby nodded, happy to help anyone in need. "Good." The next thing Barnaby knew his body was being contorted in ways that simply weren't possible, his mind going blank and his vision darkening. Once Wally was finished with him, Barnaby no longer looked like the friendly dog he used to look like no he was a hound under control of Wally. A mutt who would do as he was told when his master ordered him to, "That's a very fitting look for you Barnaby! A disgusting, drooling, mindless mutt. Now go fetch." Barnaby stalked through the rotting house and up the uneven steps, hunting you down. Hungry for blood and gore, he'd bring you back to Wally, Wally would do what he wants to you and feed Barnaby the scraps. Wally sat back down on your couch, "We wouldn't have to do this to you if you would just listen to me, darling..." He grumbled.

There was a strange smell that started to leak into your bedroom creating an odd atmosphere but you decided to ignore it after all you didn't want to scare little Wally, he was so happy listening to you read "Dominic" a story you loved as it was about a heroic hound dog who makes friends on his journey who share similar encounters with the bad guys of the story. "When Dominic had eaten his fill, he lay down. Just a few scratches, a dozen yawns, a short snooze, and he was on his way again." Wally stared at you immersed in the world of the book, It felt nice to read a book you loved to a person that you loved. The strange smell grew stronger and your head started to hurt, it was becoming harder to read to Wally as you began to run a fever and your body started producing sweat. Your stomach felt tight and you covered your mouth holding your gut, it was awful and it felt like you couldn't stand up. "Neighbour? Are you okay?" Wally asked reaching out to you. You grabbed the bucket you keep under your bed and threw up black liquid, it burned your throat and your lungs felt like they were being filled with water, it was so hard to breathe or move. Wally was shaking in fear, he didn't know what to do to help you. Your eyes felt like they'd burst out of your head and that your head would explode, everything hurt and you couldn't stop vomiting up that black liquid.

Wally hugged himself, laughing uncontrollably, "It hurts doesn't it? That's how you make me feel when you run away!" The inky black had infected you and Wally was loving every second of it racking through your body. Now you wouldn't be able to run away from Barnaby, soon you'd be back in Wally's arms and away from that poser. "Now what shall I do for you, my little copycat?" Wally thought staring into the static, "Yes, we wouldn't want a slippery snake like you getting away now would we? Howdy should do nicely to keep you caged." He smiled standing up, "Now I just need another body to bring you to life, my four-armed friend." As Wally pondered on how he'd get another body an idea came to his mind, you had another friend who would make the perfect sacrifice to bring Howdy into reality. Reaching into the static Wally pulled out his telephone and dialled your friend. "Hello? Who is this?" Wally grinned, "Divie you have to come quick! I don't know what's going on but I think something's wrong with [...]!" He had to contain himself with how good his mimicry of Wyatt's voice was. "Something's wrong with [...]? I'll be there as soon as possible just help them in any way that you can Wyatt." Divie hung up and Wally burst out laughing, "Too easy! It's too easy! Oh, darling, I wonder what kind of face you'll give me when you learn what I've done!" He continued to laugh, your peace would soon be broken.
