For someone who just said about what truly matters is 'love' before dying and wishes to see her again in heaven as hid last thought. It is pretty hard to believe considering he didn't thought of her even once or asked about her during his meeting with TOAA. Also, I could accept and believe his reaction when he finished his new discovery in chapter 1, but his reaction after meeting TOAA is pretty hard to take given his supposed age when he died. Anw, that's all, don't really have a negative or positive take overall when he chose nothing for his 'golden finger'. Fanfic wise it really is unique which makes the premise alone interesting for me.
Yo, it's like most people can't even understand the first chapter, so they just skip it and read this one instead. Then they get all mad at the MC for not picking a power. But like, in that first chapter, I made it clear that the MC is a freaking genius in physics, math, chemistry, and biology. I wanted to show that this guy knows his stuff when it comes to science. Like, why would he even want super strength when he can just make a serum for that himself? And why would he need some kind of system when he could build one himself? It's like giving a millionaire chump change, you know what I'm saying? And the MC is a scientist, so he's all about figuring out what makes this serum so special. He wants to know what sets apart mutant DNA or Inhuman DNA from regular old human DNA. I keep seeing all these comments about how dumb the MC is. But come on, have these people never heard of Owen Reece? The Molecule Man? The MC could build a particle accelerator and get powers just like him. But let's be real, if I did that, the story would be straight-up garbage.
frankly this has the be the smartest mc I've ever seen this writer designed an actually believable character people who are actually on the genius scale have massive ego's it's just a fact. by denying a gift it's actually him recognizing his own character and himself better man this character is both self aware and well written what kind of fic is this.... believable.... characters where a nobody somehow becomes dedicated that makes no sense but a genius in four completely different branches of science.... now that's someone with great will, determination, and self actualization
Idk man although it's pretty late to say it but you could've written it so that OAA didn't offer him any wish if you didn't want to give him any golden finger as you call it because refusing one which is free with no cons is pretty stupid and judging by how you replied to the other criticisms you aren't thinking in the place of the protagonist.
