Khai stopped at his tracks. His eyes flickering dangerously as he turned back to face them. "The rogue lair?"

Yuno nodded gravely. "The werewolf that attacked you. That's the eighth one we've faced since we arrived in this forest. We've found the lair a few days ago."

Khai's brow wrinkled in a slight furrow. "Who's to say you aren't leading us into a trap?"

"Enough!" Mika bellowed.

A small grunt reached Khai's ears followed by a slight tremble. All eyes snapped to Mika who placed both palms on a large tree trunk.

Madge and the Wahren's watched the elf close her eyes and focused all of her energy on the tree. She could feel the life force of the tree, the energy that flowed through it and sustained it. She drew on that energy, pulling it into herself and using it to amplify her own power.
