Chapter 15
It didn't take long for Claire, Morgan, Yuzu, and Karin to get back upstairs and to where both Hope and Sherry are waiting for them, once they got there they smiled once they saw that the fire was put out and that both Sherry and Claire can now walk towards a new door safely.
Hope smiled at everyone and then turned back into her phoenix form and took her place on Sherry's shoulder, Sherry smiled and gave her and pat on the head that made Hope cheerfully chirp.
Now ready the girls then immediately walked up to the door to the side and went in to see what they can find in this new area.
It was pitch black inside but luckily for Claire and Sherry, Hope's fiery feathers illuminated everything around them so they could see perfectly and so the girls walked through the hallway.
However, Morgan stopped and began to sniff around with a frown on her face while Hope suddenly began to chirp.
This alerted everyone that something was wrong, Morgan stopped sniffing and growled "Guys... there's something powerful nearby at least ultimate class, whatever it is it stinks of whatever is creating zombies and wall-crawlers but it's stronger...".
Yuzu and Karin immediately drew their weapon and got ready for a big fight, an ultimate class threat isn't something they can play around with.
Karin grinned and nodded "Looks like we're going to have a big fight on our hands huh? I can do that".
Yuzu smiled and nodded "Leave the long-range support to me!".
Morgan turned her head towards Sherry and Hope, Sherry was awed at Morgan's bright and green reptilian eyes while Morgan spoke up "Hope stick around with Claire and Sherry and protect them".
Hope chirped and nodded while Claire frowned "Wait girls let me help!".
Morgan smiled and nodded "Alright just let me bring the enemy outside, we can't really fight well enough here in this narrow hallway and be careful guys, we don't know what sort of surprises the enemy might have, and Claire don't worry about hitting me with your weapons".
Claire didn't like it but she nodded nonetheless, she knew she can trust the girls to know what they were doing plus they were strong, Morgan nodded and then walked around the corner and approached the downed helicopter.
The rest of the groups followed her but kept a fair distance away to give her space, suddenly something big and very strong lifted the downed Helicopter revealing a pale and very tall man wearing a black trench coat and a hat.
The creature before them scowled at Morgan who stepped closer while summoning her Boosted Gear in the form of a pair of gauntlets and grieves reminiscent of her father's Ironman suit.
Claire gasped as she caught sight of the big creature "Jesus! What is that!?".
Sherry gasped and shook in fear but Hope began to softly sing for her, her song help Sherry relax but the creature didn't seem affected other than looking annoyed.
Morgan grinned "He must not qualify as undead... in any case let's take this outside~".
The big creature swung his fist towards Morgan at a very surprising speed for a big creature but Morgan stopped his punch with her hand, which to Claire looked kinda ridiculous.
The image of a very small and cute little girl stopping the fist of a massive guy sort of looked funny to her, she can even see the big creature look surprised.
Morgan sweetly smiled and easily lifted the big creature "What was that Uncle Sirius told me to say whenever I throw something really big?... Oh that's right YEET!".
Morgan swung her arm and threw the big creature through the wall on her side and outside on the rooftop, Morgan turned her head towards her friends and smiled "Come on guys! Let's get this guy!".
Morgan then cheerfully jumped out of the hole the creature created when she threw him through the wall with a big bright smile on her face, Claire sweatdropped and awkwardly laughed "... Alright let's go help Morgan... I kinda feel bad for the big guy though...".
Karin grinned while Yuzu giggled, Hope cheerfully chirped in agreement to Claire's words while Sherry nervously laughed, then all of them rushed towards Where Morgan had thrown the big creature.

The big creature slammed against the rooftop and rolled to a stop, it quickly got on one knee and proceeded to try to get up quickly but Morgan appeared in front of him in a blur, and with a grin on her face she lashed out with a punch.
Her fist hit the big creature in the face with a loud and deep boom sound, it's head lurched to the side allowing Morgan to punch it again with her other arm this time on its chest.
Morgan heard a crack when her fist collided against the big creature's chest who was pushed back and against the rails by the stairs which he used to stop his momentum and quickly stand up.
He frowned and quickly walked over to Morgan but he didn't even get to get close to her because he was suddenly hit by two black reishi arrows that exploded as soon as they collided again his black trench coat.
Yuzu frowned when she noticed that the clothes were undamaged but the force behind the Arrows was enough to stop the big creature and drop him to his knee "... Those clothes are protective gear!".
The girls nodded having heard Yuzu while Karin used shunpo to appear behind the big creature and slashed his back only to click her tongue when sparks flew from the impact of her zanpakutō against its trench coat.
Karin shunpo away when the big creature swung his massive arm back and avoided the hit "Tch! Should we power up? This could take all night, those clothes are pretty strong for our current level of strength".
Morgan shook her head "No! We can't always solve our problems with more power, Uncle Harry said that sometimes we need to work with what we got, we can take this guy as we are! Aim for its head!".
Claire immediately unloaded a whole clip into the big creature's face forcing it to cover it with its arms, Morgan took advantage of the opening and punched the creature's arm away.
The big creature tried to grab Morgan but she rolled out of the way and between its legs, the big creature turned around and made the mistake of turning its head away from the girls.
Which resulted in the big creature missing when Karin swung her zanpakutō and sent a powerful blast of black wind that crashed against the big creature's back making it lurch forward and lose its balance.
Morgan took advantage of the big creature's loss of balance and uppercut him on the chin causing its head to violently whip back, Claire then shot it in the chest with a flame round.
The big creature roared in pain as it was engulfed in fire and began to flail around but Yuzu then overcharged her reishi bow and fired a massive black reishi arrow that crashed against the still on fire big creature.
The big creature grunted and was pushed back some distance until it stopped itself and began to push back against Yuzu's black reishi arrow.
Yuzu frowned "Is it me or is it getting stronger?".
Morgan narrowed her eyes and nodded "The big guy seems to be evolving as it fights and takes damage...".
Morgan looked around and saw that the big creature was close to the edge of the handrails leading toward the bottom of the stairs "Alright! Push him off the rooftop! Then we blast him!".
Everyone nodded and got ready, the big guy as Morgan calls it grunted and shattered Yuzu reishi black arrow and then took off running towards the girls at a faster speed.
Karin got ready "Let's do this Fugetsu!" Karin's zanpakutō glowed black for a few seconds as if signaling to Karin that it was ready.
Yuzu grinned and let her reishi bow dissipate, she then took out two weird white objects "We quincy can also use swords too!".
The two objects in her hands lit up and hummed with power, Claire gaped "You have lightsabers!".
Yuzu giggled and nodded then both girls disappeared in blurs, Karin with shunpo and Yuzu with hirenkyaku.
Both girls disappeared from the creature's sight thanks to their high-speed movement techniques and appeared beside him and began to attack the big guy's legs with their weapons.
The big guy tried to move or dodge them but the girls were moving so fast it couldn't even begin to dodge and even though the girls' weapons couldn't cut the creature they were causing a lot of damage.
Claire gaped at what she was watching, both Karin and Yuzu were moving so fast that all she saw were two blurs, one black and the other white "Okay... I got to admit that's pretty badass".
Sherry nodded while Hope flapped her wings and chirped, Morgan then shot the big guy with her web and began to swing around him wrapping the creature up.
Both Karin and Yuzu jumped back as the big guy dropped to his knees, seeing an opening Claire unloaded the flame rounds on the grenade launcher and loaded it with explosive rounds, and then aimed at the creature "Smile!".
Morgan let go of her webbing and flew through the air as Claire fired her Grenade Launcher and hit the wrapped big guy up with an explosive round, the shell exploded the big guy's chest on impact causing the creature to roar in pain and be pushed back.
Clair shot another one this time at the creature's face, the big guy barely had time to raise on arm and protect his face but the explosion pushed him back again.
As the big guy backpedaled from the explosion Claire shot her grenade launcher one more time, the shell hit the creature in the chest again causing it to be pushed even further back until the creature ended up against the handrails.
Morgan blasted forward with the propulsion of her Boosted Gear Gauntlets and Grieves and punched the big guy on the abdomen as hard as she could in her current level of strength and sent him flying back until it crashed against the wall on the other side of the stairs.
The creature then bounce off the wall and fell off towards the first floor and loudly slammed against the floor, and lay there unmoving.
Morgan nodded to herself and grinned, she then turned her head towards the girls and gave them a thumbs up "Let's go! We need to find that keycard, and fast, Sherry's mom might be found by a creature like this one".
Everyone nodded and then took off towards the wall where the crashed helicopter once lay and wet inside the building, Claire as she run forward began to speak to Morgan "Shouldn't we finish it off?".
Morgan shook her head "We don't have time, I think you noticed already but the more time we spend here the more kinds of creatures we seem to find... I'm worried about Sherry's mom, we're safe but she might be by herself".
Claire smiled at Morgan happy to know that she was thinking about Sherry's mom, Morgan then grinned at Claire "Besides if we see that big guy again next time I won't hold back!".

After following the big hallway the girls immediately noticed that they were back in the police station, Karin frowned "Tch! We're back here again! This place is like a big labyrinth".
Everyone signed and shook their heads though Sherry tilted her head "I haven't been here before... is it that bad?".
Yuzu smiled at Sherry "Well it's not that bad it's just that we have been running around this police station multiple times so it's getting annoying plus more and more kinds of creatures keep appearing and that makes things dangerous for you and Claire".
Sherry nodded and understood that everyone was worried about her and they didn't want to risk her running around this big and dangerous place "I'll be careful".
Everyone smiled at Sherry and nodded at her, Claire then hummed to herself "I think I remember a few places we haven't checked yet... plus we have more keys now so there are some areas we haven't checked yet maybe we'll find what we need to get the keycard in one of those new places".
Morgan nodded "Well no use complaining about this... I'm going to ask Uncle Harry to teach me how to use dark corridors when he comes back or ask Aunty Le Fay to teach me a teleportation spell or something, all of this running around the same place is annoying".
Claire giggled at Morgan who was pouting and gave her a pat on the head "That sounds nice but right now running around is the only thing we can do so let's go and see what we can find".
Everyone nodded and quickly took off following Claire who already knew what places they were going to check next and so the girls quickly moved through the now very familiar hallways of the Police station.

First, they went to check a safe they had seen in one of the offices a while back but ignore it because they were in a hurry because of Marvin, so Claire and the girls headed there right away since it was close to where they were.
They quickly arrived and Claire walked up to the safe and began to check her pile of documents since she had found something that looked like a code that might be the safe's password but suddenly she heard a loud crushing sound and looked down only to see Morgan ripping off the safe's door.
Sherry was gaping while Claire sweatdropped as she watched Morgan cheerfully pry open the safe by ripping the door like it was made of wet paper and then throwing it behind her with a very happy smile on her face.
Inside Morgan found high capacity mag and grabbed it, she quickly stood up and gave it to Claire who just sighed and then laughed a little while taking the clip from Morgan "Thank you, Morgan".
Morgan just brightly smiled at Claire who quickly equipped the high-capacity mag to her handgun and smiled at the fact she won't have to load as often as before.
The girls then took off again and eventually reached the main lobby again, the girls frowned when they saw that Marvin was gone except Hope who sadly chirped, deciding that it was best not to dwell on what might have happened to Marvin they opted to quickly leave.
They ran towards the other side and went through one of the doors, thanks to Hope's Phoenix Form and fiery feathers Claire didn't need to use her flashlight so they quickly moved through the dark hallways of the Police station.
As they ran a wall-crawler fell from the ceiling towards the girls but because they were already on high alert after having had to deal with the big guy the wall-crawler was immediately punched into a wall by Morgan where Karin stabbed him through the chest with her zanpakutō and pinned it to the wall where Claire shot it on the head until it stopped moving.
All of this happened within seconds and it even surprised Claire how fast she was reacting and working with the girls now, she actually felt pretty proud of herself right now.
The girls noticed and smiled at Claire, they weren't surprised that she was beginning to follow their rhythm in battle since she has been fighting with them for a while now.
Claire smiled at the girls and then nodded letting them know that it was time to keep moving and so Claire guided everyone to one of the locked doors she remembers not having checked yet.
In a few minutes they arrived and Claire opened the door right away, the girls immediately spread out and looked around for anything useful, Sherry found some sort of tool and immediately gave it to Morgan just in case they might need it.
Morgan put it in the Boosted Gear right away and then waited to see if anyone else found anything useful but no one found anything and so they left the room.
Claire then remembered the computer she couldn't access because she didn't have a password, she turned to Morgan "Hey Morgan, can you pass me that police badge we found a while back?".
Morgan nodded and reached into her dress pocket and hummed as she looked for the badge and began to take out a few "Let's see...".
Morgan took out a super mushroom but then put it back in, then a fire flower, a cake, and then her house keys until she finally found the police badge and gave it to Claire and began to eat her cake.
Claire and Sherry just stared at her in silence for a few seconds, while Yuzu and Karin were trying not to laugh, Hope was cheerfully chirping knowing that Morgan had been waiting for a chance to pull that prank on someone.
Claire just scratched her head and decided to not comment on what Morgan just pulled out of her pockets, the girls then quickly ran to the computer to see what kind of information they can find.
It didn't take long to reach it and Claire then inspected the police badge closely and found it was some sort of USB so she quickly plugged it in and went to the computer which immediately began to scan it.
Suddenly there was some kind of buzzer sound and a caged door opened, Yuzu walked inside and found a new firearm, she quickly took it to Claire while the rest of the girls looked inside the caged room for anything useful.
Yuzu handed the firearm to Claire who grinned when she saw it "Cool~ an MQ 11 submachine gun! this will come in handy!".
Morgan found a letter and while reading it she found out it was from Chris, Claire's older brother so she quickly ran towards her and gave it to her "Claire this is from your brother!".
Claire raised an eyebrow and took the letter and began to read it meanwhile Morgan took the police badge from the computer and looked at it since she didn't have the chance until now.
She noticed that it seems to be a very special type of badge from a unit called S.T.A.R.S she liked it so she decided to keep it as a souvenir for her hoard at home and so she put it inside her dress pocket again.
Claire finished reading the letter "This doesn't sound like Chris at all... babes? Something is going on and both Barry and Jill know".
Claire frowned and then put the letter in her pocket while all the girls walked up to her, Claire crossed her arms and frowned "Something is going on and my brother more than likely is investigating something... he didn't go to Europe for a vacation".
Morgan hummed "Well we found out that the police chief is involved in all of this right? Perhaps your big brother found out he was a bad guy?".
Claire nodded "That might explain the weird letter, he must have been trying to trick anyone who might be checking his friends' letters, just what's going on here?".
Karin scratched her head "I think we should keep moving, we're bound to find more information as we go along, maybe we will find out what happened in this city and what was going on with the police chief".
Everyone nodded and quickly left the room they were currently in and followed Claire to the next place she wanted to check out.
Since they were close to another locked door Claire headed there and hoped to find something else useful in that room, it didn't take them long to run to it.
Claire immediately opened it with one of the keys they had found inside they didn't find anything useful but a portable safe which Morgan pried open with her bare hands and inside she found some spare parts that seemed useful so Morgan put them inside her Boosted Gear inventory.
After that, the girls then ran all the way back to the locker room on the first floor of the police station to see if there was anything else they could use there.
It didn't take them long to get there and Morgan immediately began to break any locked locker to get whatever was inside, they found a hip pouch and some more flame rounds for the grenade launcher, Yuzu sighed "it's always good to find more ammo for Claire but this place is really getting on my nerves...".
Everyone nodded, Morgan then smiled "At least with all the doors we have opened we can now move faster everywhere though there are far more wall-crawlers and zombies around, Hope was definitely right in telling us not to destroy any doors otherwise we could be jumped by a lot of them... I, Yuzu, Karin, and Hope would be fine but Sherry and Claire would be in far more danger".
Everyone nodded and then Morgan grabbed Hope and hugged her making her squawk in surprise, poor Hope didn't even have time to flap her wings before she found herself being hugged.
Everyone smiled watching Morgan hug Hope in her phoenix form while Hope began to peck her head in annoyance causing the little Stark to giggle.
After a little bit, she finally let go of Hope who flew back to Sherry's shoulder and huffed but if you look closely into her eyes you would see a happy spark in them.
With all of that done the girls then followed Claire to the next location she wanted to check out while keeping an eye out for any wall-crawlers, they couldn't afford to be taken by surprise by any of them after all.

Claire quickly took them to the next place she wanted to check, they went back to the lobby and ran up the stairs to go to the second floor and then went to the library.
Even though they had cleared it when they went through it the first time, somehow some zombies were able to get in there but the girls quickly killed and burned their bodies.
They looked around and found a car jack and quickly pull it out, they watched as a big bookshelf dropped to the floor and noticed that it could be moved.
Everyone immediately knew what they had to do so they turned their heads to Morgan who smiled and cheerfully waved at them with a smile, they all laughed and told her to get on with it.
Morgan giggled and nodded she then easily pushed the bookshelves to the side to see if anything was hidden behind them.
They didn't find anything which surprised them, Karin raised an eyebrow "Huh? I kinda expected a secret door or a switch... I think this place is messing with my head now?".
Yuzu looked around and then up, she narrowed her eyes when she noticed something peculiar Huh? We made a bridge of sorts...".
Everyone looked up and noticed how the bookshelves made some kind of bridge for the second floor's broken platform, Sherry tilted her head "Was this on purpose or something?".
Morgan shrugged and shook her head "Who knows but at this point I wouldn't be surprised, this entire police station is full of weird things like this".
Sherry nodded, to her it all seems like this place was a big fun house with everything she has seen so far, she can only imagine what the girls must have discovered as they went through this entire place the first time.
With that out of the way, the girls decided to go upstairs and head to the next location so they took off running once again, it was a good thing that all of them were very healthy otherwise all of this running might have made things difficult.
Though the girls made sure to keep an eye out for Claire and Sherry just in case they get too tired or something while running all over the place, unlike them they are human and have limits that they need to keep in mind.
They kept finding even more zombies as they kept moving around in a hurry but the girls took care of them fast so Claire wouldn't waste Ammo on such easy targets, though Morgan decided that she was going to ask her uncle to teach her how to enchant so she can help any new human friends she might make in the future.
Both Hope and Morgan now had a big list of things they wanted to learn, Healing, Enchanting, everyday magic, and teleportation, things that were easy for them to be taught but never bothered because they didn't see the need to learn {Were going to be busy for a while!} was the thought Morgan had on her mind right now.
Eventually, they reached the highest floor of the police station and went to the clock tower, Claire immediately walked to the mechanisms inside and smiled once she noticed something "Aha! I knew that cog we found belonged here!".
She turned towards Morgan who had heard her and took out the cog they found a while ago and handed it to Claire who smiled at her and quickly put it into the mechanism and stepped back to see what it did.
The mechanism came to life and lowered a staircase, the girls smiled and then went to check upstairs and see what they can find.
Once upstairs they followed the platform and reached another mechanism with a small cog inside it, Claire stared at it for a bit and then took it out, Morgan noticed that this mechanism needed a big cog too so she walked to the handrail of the platform and jumped down to the floor below.
Everyone curiously watched her do her thing and as soon as Morgan landed downstairs she walked to the mechanism and took out the cog and jumped back to the platform above and immediately put it on the new Mechanism they found upstairs.
This made the giant clock turn on, Claire nodded and then all of them headed downstairs to the third mechanism and see if the small Gog fits in there and see what happens.
It didn't take them long to reach the Mechanism and Claire wasted no time, she walked up to the mechanism and put the small cog inside, and stepped back a bit to see what happens next.
The entire clocktower came to life and soon the bells began to toll loudly, Claire and Sherry covered their ears but the girls used a little bit of energy to block their hearing, Morgan looked up and watched as the bell knocked something down.
The bell stopped tolling and Morgan pointed at the box that had fallen "Look! Something was knocked over" Karin this time decided to go get it and jumped to the top platform and went to go get whatever had fallen, Claire smiled "That worked! I can't believe I remembered all of that".
Everyone smiled at her while Karin jumped down with an orange box in her hands "This is what I found".
She handed it to Claire who read the box and smiled "Oh electronic parts! I think we can fix the electronic security door now and finally get the keycard! Let's go everyone~".
The girls cheered and immediately took off towards the building where they found the Keycard, they couldn't wait to get out of this massive and quite ridiculous police station.

They quickly ran to the storage room by the Chief of Police's office, once there both Claire and Morgan began to fix the electronic door with the parts they had found.
Thanks to Morgan they were able to fix it pretty quickly thanks to her know-how with machinery and engineering proving once again just how much like her father she is.
Once the door was opened Claire went inside and grabbed the keycard Morgan sighed "Boy was that a trip and a half!".
Everyone nodded, and Sherry sighed "I'm kinda tired and hungry...".
Claire nodded since she herself was feeling pretty tired and hungry herself "Yeah me too but I haven't seen any sort of food around here and all the vending machines I've found were completely destroyed plus I don't think it's a good idea to eat anything from around here".
Sherry looked down, Hope suddenly flew off her shoulder and transform back to her human form "Then let's take a break, Morgan and I made sure to bring food from home, I mean you have seen Morgan eating snacks right".
Karin's eyebrow twitched "That's right... Morgan has been eating sweets and pastries, I've seen her pop some chocolates into her mouth".
Yuzu then turned her head towards Morgan with her eyes wide and glowing yellow "You're going to share right Morgan?... Sharing is caring Morgan!".
Morgan jumped a bit and nodded "Err yeah! I can share, I brought a lot too so we can all eat and rest a while plus I brought regular food as well!".
Yuzu's expression changed and she began to sweetly smile "Great! Let's all go to the big fancy office and take our break there, we can even use the table and couches in there".
Everyone nodded and immediately went to the office and once there everyone took a seat except Morgan who was taking out food and putting it on the coffee table.
Sherry grabbed some ham and cheese sandwiches, some cake, and a bar of chocolate she saw there while Claire grabbed a plate of pasta and began to cheerfully eat.
Morgan ate a steak while Hope had some fried chicken, Yuzu and Karin were both eating a cheeseburger.
Claire smiled and looked up from her pasta towards Morgan "It's amazing just how much you can put away in your red gauntlet~ the food is even warm! As if it's been just recently cooked".
Morgan nodded "Yup! Uncle Harry added that function to the Boosted Gear! Making my Sacred Gear even more awesome~".
Sherry stopped eating her sandwich "Sacred Gear? Is that what that red gauntlet is?".
Hope chewed her fried chicken and then swallowed, she then answered Sherry's question "A Sacred Gear is a magical artifact created by God and the one Morgan has is known as the Boosted Gear".
Claire raised an eyebrow "God? You mean the Big G? Big white beard and white robes? That guy?".
Morgan giggled "Well I guess? In our world God died fighting the Maou so we don't know what he looked like but we do know he really existed, the Sacred Gears are proof that he lived".
Claire sighed "The more I hear about your world the crazier it seems to get but then again I can't really say anything with everything that's been going on here".
Sherry hummed "What does your Boosted Gear do Morgan? I don't think I've seen you use it other than covering your arms and legs with it".
Morgan smiled "The Boosted Gear can double my power every 10 seconds, I can transfer those boosts to others and even into my skills and techniques, I can penetrate through any defense or resistances plus whatever else I programmed into it".
Sherry's eyes sparkled in interest while Claire raised an eyebrow "That actually sounds useful though I can't imagine you ever needing to double your power Morgan".
Morgan nodded "True but it's good to have that option available just in case plus the other functions of the Boosted Gear are pretty useful too plus there's a dragon named Ddraig that lives inside the Boosted Gear!".
Sherry smiled "Cool~ but how come we haven't seen him?".
Morgan awkwardly laughed "He's sleeping right now, he finds this entire situation boring plus he's a very lazy dragon!".
Sherry laughed imagining a big dragon just sleeping and scratching his belly in laziness, Claire raised an eyebrow "Well I suppose zombies and wall-crawlers might be too boring for a dragon".
Hope then looked up and hummed "I think Daddy is the only dragon that's always busy with one thing or another, he's not shy to do something about a situation either though he can be pretty lazy as well".
Yuzu nodded "That's true, Harry-nii would take care of me and Karin all the time and even play with us, I don't think that sort of thing would interest a dragon but he still did it for us".
Karin then grinned "Though he was lazy even then, mom always found him sleeping in the strangest of places, heh it used to drive her crazy~".
Everyone shared a laugh while they rested and enjoyed eating something after not having the chance to eat anything in a while, just for a few minutes they forgot what was going on and just enjoyed a meal with friends.
