The Sacrifice: a werewolf history

Every two years the three towns that make up the western people must deliver one of its young women as a sacrifice to the forest, where the beast resides. It is the only way to keep it at bay and to maintain the fickle peace. Oriana lives a quiet life with her parents, until the moment the plague takes them both, with a difference of just days. She, then, becomes the ideal subject to sacrifice. Will she survive?
