Trembling 10

Towards evening, Lily opened her eyes again. Matthew was still in her room and sat on the sofa in the corner of the room. He immediately approached Lily when he saw her awake.

"How was your sleep?" Matthew asked, stroking Lily's head.

Lily nodded her head. "I slept well. Is Ryan back yet?"

Matthew nodded his head. "He was here earlier. Now he was back at the resort to tidy up his things. Tomorrow he must return to New York."

Lily took a deep breath. "If this disaster doesn't happen, we can still have some fun before he returns to New York."

"He promised to see you again after all his business in New York was finished," Matthew said.

"What were you two talking about while I was asleep?" Lily asked curiously.

"Just normal male chatter. We don't talk much," Matthew replied.
