Pair made for each other

"Alec, is it hurting too much?" The girl looked at Alec with worry when she looked at his lost face and he blinked.

Could this small injury hurt him? Ha! What a joke! The boy shook his head but the girl was still not assured.

"Alright, it is done. You both can leave!" The nurse took a deep breath as if she had just finished some intense and avoided looking towards the face of Alec.

"Thanks, how much did it cost?" asked the girl in a polite voice but Alec just stood up ready to leave. He already knew the answer, so he did not need to ask but waited patiently for the girl to get the same old answer he had heard thousands of times before.

"No need! Just leave from here. I have some urgent work to tend to, so, leave!" the nurse replied abruptly as she stood up from her seat and even ran towards the door to open it for them.

She could not bear to take a breath in the same room where a demon was standing.

"But..! that!" The girl was not sure as she had always paid for the services she had taken.

And she failed to understand the strange behavior of the nurse whose face had turned ashen for a while as if she had seen a ghost.

"It is okay. I will send my father to pay the bill later!" Alec titled his head and turned to look at the girl who was still confused but nodded her head.

"Alright! Then let's go back to the school.'' She picked up her bag and Alec's, afraid that he was too injured to carry it.

Alec looked at the girl that was still caring about him even when his wound was already treated and did not know what to say.

He just followed her blindly out of the room and back to the streets.

"So, do you want to go back to school or would you like to go home and rest for today!" asked the girl with a sweet smile on her face.

"I will go wherever you go!" Alec replied instinctively when he heard her sweet voice that felt so warm and the girl blinked but then her face turned red.

"Alright! Then.. then let's go back to school. I still need to make notes for the upcoming competition." she nodded her head and Alec nodded back.

"You know I have always seen you reading books in class. I wonder how you even read such large books! You must be a scholar, that is why kids tease you!

I can feel you, I have faced the same thing many times!" mumbled the girl as they started walking. The bus had left a long time ago and hiring a cab would be expensive, so she decided it was better to walk.

She would even get the chance to know more about the boy. Though he was a bit strange, he had never hurt anyone.

It was the kids that always hurt him and bullied him. She could not help but feel bad for him. Could it be because of his eyes! She wondered but did not say a word!

She understood how difficult it was for different people to survive in this cruel world.

The boy tilted his head and looked at the girl but did not understand a word of what she was talking about!

"So, what kind of books are those?" she asked with a chuckle when he did nothing but nod on her every word.

"The books are about anything and everything. I like to read and collect information but most of them are about magic and other worlds that have been lost with time!" he replied with some hesitation. If it had not been his eyes, most of them would have taken him as abnormal due to his beliefs.

"Oh! Like Harry potter?" she asked with a look full of interest in her eyes. She did not understand what he meant by magic and took it as he liked to read about fantasy books that were full of magic and adventures.

"You know I always wanted to go into a world full of magic and have my own adventure. Who knew I might be the next Hermione Granger!" she chuckled at her own thoughts.

Though he did not know who Harry Potter and Hermione granger. He still nodded his head as she did not hate him or found him crazy even when he told her that he reads magic.

The thought was comforting that he could be treated as normal by someone that it instinctively brought a smile on his face.

The girl halted in her steps and looked at him with wide eyes that panicked the boy. He blinked and stared back at the girl while shifting his weight from one leg to another in worry.

"What happened?" he asked in the same cold voice but traces of worry could be felt in it.

"I never knew that you can smile too!" replied with an amused face and the boy frowned. He did not realize when he started smiling.

"Hey.. don't do that." She stopped and touched his cheeks and then stretched his cheeks from both sides to make a smile on his face.

"See, you look much better with a smile on his face." she even nodded to assure her feelings to him while he continued to look at her wide eyed.

They both did not even notice that they had already walked into the campus while talking to each other. Their sweet moment was interrupted by a voice full of disdain and mockery!

"Just look at that harry!" a boy patted the shoulder of the other boy who was chatting while sitting on the stair.

"A nerdy girl who was left alone had found a crazy boy as his new company! What a pair!" Everyone started chuckling when they heard his snarky comment while the boy named Harry turned to look at them with an evil glint on his face.

"I guess she was too worried that she would be locked in the library alone today so she accepted any help she could get! Who else would even waste their time talking to her!"
