Demon turned into Angel!

The nurse's breath stopped and she looked at Alec with fear in her eyes. Her lips quivered but not a single sound came out of it.

"I.." she did not know how to reply. She did not know why but she felt like she would not be able to speak even if he would not stop looking at her.

Alec tilted his head and then snickered. He could see how scared she was, but that feeling only made him realize again that he was not like them! He was different. And all he would get was hatred and fear from them.

"I see that you do not want to pretend anymore. Can I take it as you have given up on the pretense!

At least, you should have the guts to accept that?" He stood up and walked towards the nurse who took a few steps back and held the corner of the table with a silver hope that he would stop there.

But just before Alec could reach the nurse or say anything else, the door of the room creaked open. And the girl peeked in.

"I am sorry for disturbing you, but I heard the sound of falling things. So, I just wanted to check if Alec is okay?" the girl turned and looked at Alec with genuine worried eyes.

There was no fear, disgust or hatred but her big animated eyes were assessing his body to make sure that he was not injured further.

And once she was sure that he was fine, she took a breath of relief that amused Alec.

All his life, everyone was worried only to see if others were safe when they were with him. Never in his life has anyone asked about him!

But the feeling was warmer and sweeter than he had thought.

"Umm, what is happening here?" the girl frowned again when she saw the fearful eye of the nurse and the fallen disinfectant and ointments on the floor.

"Nothing, the nurse was a bit sloppy so everything fell from her hands..

And now she is embarrassed to pick them up." he turned and replied to the girl in a sweet voice and then tilted his head and looked at the nurse, with daunting face,

"Right, nurse!" The lady was so afraid with his strong presence in the room that she nodded to whatever he said.

"Yes! Yes! Just give me a minute and I will pick up everything." with that she turned and ran to the other side of the room trying to create as much distance as possible between them.

She was sure that she would have met her end if the girl would not have interrupted them.

She had seen the demons from the Netherlands in the eyes of the boy.

"Alec, you should not talk to her like that. She is older than us and we should respect our elders." thought the girl was scolding him, he still felt that her voice was warm and sweet. So, he nodded without even caring what she wanted him to do.

The girl smiled when she felt how easily he agreed to every word he said and then patted his shoulders.

"Good! You are a nice boy, Alec!"

Alec wanted to laugh at her and tell her that he was not a nice person. He was not even sure if he was a person like them. As he could see he was not like normal humans, but he let that thought go.

If she could be his friend, if she takes him as a normal being, then he would surely be a normal guy for him.

Even he wanted to feel how it felt like being normal!

"Little girl. Since the other staff member is not here, would you assist me in bandaging him?" The nurse who was looking at their sweet conversation from a distance, noticed how the demon turned into an angel in front of them.

He behaved like a docile best when the girl patted him. She was sure if she would have done the same thing, he would have bit her hands off until it would have been cut from her body completely.

"Me?" the girl asked, confused. "But I have no idea how to disinfect a wound. I have only used a few simple bandages in my life."

Since she had always been wise and not good at sports. She never attempted to play them, spending all her time studying only, she hardly got injured and needed treatment.

Only the thought of losing so much blood scared her out of her wits!

"Yes! You have to do nothing but hold the tray when I wrap his wounds!" persuaded the nurse.

She did not want to be alone with this demon again.

It would be better if the girl would accompany her so that she would finish her task and get rid of both of them.

The girl frowned as she did not understand why she needed to hold the tray when it could be kept conveniently on the table when the wound was bandaged.

With three deep lines on her forehead, she was about to ask the same thing, when even Alec looked at her with hopeful eyes.

Though he did not say a word, he was looking like a puppy that was going to be abandoned. Her eyes instinctively fell on his injured hand that was still covered with blood and her heart clenched.

So, she did not have the heart to leave him alone.

"Of course, but rather than holding the tray, can I hold Alec's hands?

It must have been too painful to get so many injuries?"

"..." her words surprised not only the nurse but Alec. no one had ever asked him if he was having pain when they look at their injuries, he had only heard one thing from childhood,

He deserved it. It must have been justification that a demon like him was injured,

"Alec, is it hurting too much?"
