Elric and his brothers were getting ready for school but he paused when he noticed that Elyn wasn't waiting for them at the door.

His brothers were still getting ready, not having noticed that Elyn wasn't there. Elric frowned. "Have you guys seen Elyn at all this morning?"

Audrey snorts as he slipped into his shoes. "She's probably practiced for a speech or something."

"This is not funny." Elric snaps.

He dropped his bag to the floor and headed up the stairs calling Elyn's name. But there was no response. Elric shouted down at his brothers to check the house for Elyn while he raced to the bathroom.

When he got to her room he stopped short. Elyn's covers were in a heap at the foot of her bed and her bunny slippers were gone.

"Assist?"

"How may I help you, Elric?"

Elric checked her closet before letting out a frustrated groan. "Have you seen Elyn?"

"I haven't heard from her since last evening. Is everything alright?"

"No! No, it's not!"

Elric raced from Elyn's room, hoping his brothers had better luck than him. Audrey and Alex were looking worried. Joseph had started calling the modeling companies Elyn worked for and Matt called the school.

Mason was sitting on the couch, his face pale. "Is she missing?"

"Yes. She wasn't in her room and Assist hasn't heard from her since last evening." Elric's eyes widen. "Has anyone seen Kevin?"

"Kevin is out watering the grass," Alex murmured.

Elric raced outside and spotted Kevin by the curb watering the rose bush, bobbing his head. Elric reached him and grabbed his arm.

"Kevin!"

"Elric is-"

"No! Nothing is alright! Elyn is missing! Have you seen her?"

Kevin's eyes widen, and he looked away but didn't say anything. Elric shook him. "Where is she?"

"I don't know, but I have a hunch," Kevin mutters. "Remember that device you and your brothers saw yesterday?"

"The portal thingy. What about it?"

Kevin put the hose down and wrung his hands together. "What if she...."

"No."

Elric raced to the back of the house where the attic was. The door was open and the portal device was gone. Elyn's bunny slippers were at the door.

Elric groaned and hit his forehead with his fist. Though sometimes he didn't act like it, he care about Elyn, but he did a lot. Because she was his younger sister and he didn't want her to get hurt.

Elric pulled out his phone and dialed his parents number.
