Dock-Square, Boston, June 17, 1775
Before Lena would answer any of the barrages of questions posed to her from both Katya and Cyrus, she suggested they go to her small tenant flat, located above a tea shop near the square. Her furniture was modest, but the apartment was clean and overlooked the Charles River.
Lena brought them a tray with tea and biscuits. Katya watched Cyrus and remembered how uncomfortable he felt when her old friend, Stephanie, brought him the same in 1940, London. This tea was much more aromatic.
"A sister may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature," said Lena as she poured Katya's tea. I see you've colored your hair. I think blonde suits you.
"Family multiplies joy and divides grief. Lena, I would like you to meet my Beau, Cyrus."
"He's quite fetching. It's so nice to meet you, Cyrus. Friendship is a sheltering tree."
"Wow, you two are sisters, aren't you? So, I need to ask again, is this where and when you guys are from?" Cyrus asked impatiently.
