Isn't That Crazy?

The steaks were done not long after Missy, Harry, and Penny brought the remainder of the food out to put on the Davenports' small patio table. There were additional long folding tables set up for people to actually eat at. 

Those with children were sure to set up plates for their kids and make sure they were seated nearby to supervise since none of them were over the age of six. Everyone else seated themselves haphazardly. 

Unfortunately, Penny ended up sitting on the end next to Mark and the seat across from her was taken by Kyle. Roman ended up two seats down from her on the opposite side of the table. 

He could still see her chatting amiably with the man directly across from her and he found himself rather annoyed as he watched. Why could she be friendly with other people but not him?
