Garessta
A solid opening pace for setting the time, place, and the FL's situation. The first-person perspective is fully utilized to add a touch of humor, regardless of the actual event unfolding in real time, and to let the FL's personality show. Over the course of several chapters the world still keeps slowly growing, giving everything a chance to breathe, no mouthful of exposition dumps here. :3
I've read numerous vampire books through my life, (but funnily enough not Bram Stoker's Dracula), and didn't think I'd enjoy reading yet another take on this old subject. I can't really say what made me try this one (hypnotoad?), but I'm glad I did. I'm about a third through the released chapters, so I cannot speak for the entire book, but so far the narrative has been steady and doesn't show any signs of staleness. On the contrary, there are enough interesting things happening to keep me using my FP to see what happens next. No dragging misunderstandings, grammar could be improved, but over all the English is good, there is a lot of humour spread out through the book. Some of JJ's remarks have me cracking up. And I'm getting interesting recommendations for Russian movies along the way. Added to my list of 'They're actually good! (who knew?)'. 🙃 PS: must....obey.....Hypnotoad
As per usual another great story from Garessta! I was excited after seeing it in the writing contest and even more excited when I saw it had a vampire in 😍 This is a definite must read. The first chapter pulls you in from the start and the writing is impeccable. I love how the author writes with great descriptions. Continue with your amazing writing! I look forward to seeing where the story leads from here ☺️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I certainly got this added to my library the moment I have started it and mostly nearing the end of this novel I did stayed all throughout. All of the elements in this story are quite amusing and so is the story development that prevailed to be constantly changing within and with our main characters' portrayals that give it more vibrance. If you're a fan of anything that's of vampires, or any other supernaturals, you might as well give this novel a try and I can assure you that this has quite its own right to be a great read.
TL;DR Great book! Couldn't put it down even when I have work the next morning. Love the story development so far. Can't wait to read more. Keep up the good work! ------------------------ Long version Currently on Chapt 119 and decided I needed give this book a review. Usually I leave reviews after I finished reading but I really like the story thus far. Let's talk about the MC, she's funny, stubborn, brave and again funny especially when she interacts with the ML. The ML is very charming, mysterious and also heartwarming. Their banter is just too cute and funny that I can continue reading about their interactions with each other. Now the story development and plot, very interesting idea [Spoiler ALERT . . a witch who didn't know she's a witch much less an Arch witch! . . ] So the story slowly reveals MC background she never knew about and the story behind ML. They have at least 1 enemy so far, BUT I feel like there's more to the story. As for the writing, I like this style of writing but there are spelling and grammar mistakes here and there. I only pointed this out because sometimes it'll take me 30 seconds to 1 minute to figure out what was suppose to be there. 🤔 Garessta, keep up the good work! Thank you for such a good story so far. Can't wait to read more! Til then, I'll read your other completed novel! 🙂🙂🙂
Not my usual genre but an interesting story nonetheless. The author does a great job of immediately establishing JJ and Diana's dynamic. Each chapter naturally leads to the next and left me interested to see what would happen next. The plot doesn't stagnate at all and the story is well paced. If you're a romance fan then I'm sure this story will hit the spot for you. If you aren't one, I would still recommend giving it a read.
