I Like It Very Much Now

The young Yu Yan's face turned pale. She was afraid but she still stood before the young boy behind her.

"What, you want to hit a girl?" his friend looked hesitant. In his opinion, it was not good to hit a girl. His parents would beat him up if they heard that he was beating a girl.

"She's just a brat. If she wants to blame someone, blame herself for getting involved in…" before the first friend could finish speaking, his voice was interrupted.

A voice came from a distance. "Teacher! Teacher! They're over here!"

The boys' face changed. They looked at the young Yu Yan and the young Long Ying. The first boy snorted. "You're lucky that a teacher come! Hmph! You better get out of here, Blind Boy!"

The young Yu Yan stood still as she watched them leave. Her small body still shivered a bit, but she didn't move from her position. When a hand tapped her from behind, she nearly jumped in surprise.

"Wha…"

"Ah." The young Long Ying had already stood up. His face was bruised and his dark glasses was tilted slightly. It revealed the faint silver pupil beneath but Yu Yan was not in the right state of mind to pay attention to the details.

"You scare me."

The young Long Ying pursed his lips. Who was the one lectured those bullies harshly just now? His eyes landed on the young Yu Yan's legs as he noticed that they were trembling.

"Do you know that a man would not like a girl to stand before him to protect him?" the young Long Ying spat out, feeling annoyed. If she was this afraid, why would she even stood up for him?

The young Yu Yan was stunned. She then looked at the young Long Ying with a dark expression. "You ungrateful brat! It's up to me whether I want to help you or not!"

"I never ask for your help in the first place!"

"You ungrateful brat! I shouldn't have stepped in!"

"That's why you should just leave after calling the teacher!"

"What teacher? I didn't call teacher, stupid! If I head inside and call the teacher, you would have turned into mincemeat!"

Mincemeat?

The young Long Ying already knew how to protect his vital, so even though his wounds looked scary right now, they were nothing. He was about to refute her again when her sentence entered his brain.

That was not right, didn't her friend just call the teacher?

The young Yu Yan was fuming. She didn't want to take another look at that ungrateful brat as she walked to the road where she went and picked up her phone. There was no one who called the teacher and it was nothing more than a recording she had in her phone.

"You…. If they found out it's only a recording, you're going to be beaten up, idiot!" the young Long Ying was stunned.

"So what? It's not your business, you ungrateful brat!"

"Of course it's my business! They're coming for me and you shouldn't have meddled in!"

The young Yu Yan snorted. "Then let's hope we're not going to meet again!"

Before the young Long Ying could speak more, the young Yu Yan had already turned around and started running. He was startled then after some hesitation, he shouted, "THANK YOU!"

The young Yu Yan only slowed down for a moment then continued running. The young Long Ying couldn't do anything but messing his hair and kicked the pebbles on the road.

This was the first time ever a girl ever stood up for him and he couldn't even thank her properly.

*Back to the present*

Yu Yan still recalled that she didn't think he was too bad after she heard him thanking her. However, it would never erase the bad impression she had when she first met him.

"Do you still think that way?"

"Silly girl." Long Ying laughed lightly and raised his finger to poke her forehead. "Why should I be angry when someone is concerned about me? I like it very much now."

Yu Yan's lips trembled when she saw Long Ying being flirty. "That's not what you say afterwards."

"Ah, I'm just a brat back then and why would you hang out with an ungrateful brat if you still think I'm not someone worth befriending?" Long Ying's eyes were filled with mirth.

"That's only because I…." Yu Yan was about to continue when she felt that it was not appropriate. She coughed and looked away. "Anyway, I know that you're only concerned about me back then."

The two of them were only children back then and certainly they didn't manage to express their feelings properly. It turned out to be such a mess when the two of them ended up seated beside each other.

However...

There was one thing that Yu Yan would never say to Long Ying regarding the second time they met each other.
