the reason why they made tang san the enemy because most fanfic just like yours where either they babysit tangsan or become a dog of tang san are pretty much not popular they want something new and not just a useless passerby and only follow tang san, beside spirit hall is not that bad they're the only force in the continent that gives free spirit awakening to the poor villages those sects dont, also spirit hall is the only power that gives gold freely without being tied to them compared to the sects where you really need to join them just to get a benefit, so if you're poor and no talent only the spirit hall will give help to you
