Comments of chapter undefined of The Dark Lord's Maiden

Okay this is becoming more interesting but I would like to know. Why did Elizabeth never ponder on this fact before, of her being possibly abandoned? Shouldn't she have considered long before now how and why neither Giselle nor her mother or even Mr Graylock had returned to look for her? And what was their purpose? If I were her, I should have asked these questions by now and I think Giselle and her mother, Lady Osborn had been too hasty to leave without first verifying if Elizabeth had gotten her "rescue". Just my opinion though. I'm still gifting my PS anyway xD. Nice read
