Neither story. Paul and Emma are dead so no point going back to them. I dont find unredeemable people such as Vulture very interesting. The real story was the growth of two broken people who had lost their humanity, and against all odds, found love and their humanity out of the darkness they shared.

I’m devastated. After all they went through…and to have it end like that…It’s just a book. It’s just a book. It’s just a book…I have been telling myself that all day.
