Chapter – 1 - Rebirth

David sat in a room, looking really surprised and kept saying, "Did I get born again?"

In his last life, David was a guy from India who got a job as a programmer at Microsoft in the USA. But while going to work, he got into an accident. Instead of being in a hospital or dead, he found himself in this strange room.

In his old life, David didn't have anyone. His parents were gone, and they left him a house. He was super excited to work in America, his dream country. But all that excitement ended because he got reborn in May 1974 in America.

After the shock wore off, David learned about his new self. He still had the same name, but now he was an orphan. His dad, a businessman, died in March that year in an accident. His mom died when he was born. Now he's 20 years old with no job. The government took his house and the shoe factory his parents left because of inheritance tax. All he got was $500,000 as compensation for his parents' stuff.

Feeling sad, he drank a lot the night before and ended up dying. Somehow, his soul switched to this new life.

David woke up, shook off the confusion, and went to the bathroom to wash off the alcohol smell. In the mirror, he saw a handsome guy with black hair and a jawline like a Hollywood star.

After cleaning up, he saw a packed backpack with some clothes in his room. Sitting down, he thought about what to do with his life. It's 1974, and he's got $500,000, which is like having 3 million in 2024. But he only knows about programming, and the technology back then isn't as advanced. What's he going to do?

While thinking, he heard a weird sound.

"Detected the host, Binding 'Tech System' to the host... 10%... 40%... 70%... 100%."
