I get it now. I thought Endra was living Evin's life with him, feeling what he feels, seeing what he sees, which is why I was giving him some leeway here. But he's not. He's living in his own cushy, comfortable home, watching what happens to Evin on a screen like it a TV show, and he's stuck with the one boring channel. He can dissociate whenever he wants. He's even more horrible than I thought since he doesn't have to pay for anything that he does or doesn't do. In some ways, because he's clear minded znd rational, he's worse than the dad who was probably abused as a child as well and is responding on instinct and a lot of twisted thoughts.
