Does the mc have romantic thoughts about them? I mean does he love them? Cause I'm just seeing a full on manipulative display disregarding the romance. Like if it wasn't for the mc acting too much innocently, then the mom wouldn't be so torn from having negative thoughts about the mc's childhood. Just a thought no offense 😅
