well the mc is a male and is naturally filled with yang . and you mentioned he cultivates both yin and yang which is true however you forgot that he doesn't lack yang ,he lacks yin , so that pill with a lot of yin would only be helpful to him since he cant get yin easily compared to yang . if does get massive yin ,just think of like some storage where yin is stored and he can slowly allow a bit of yin to come out naturally which he can then fuse ( or whatever he does )with his yang which he produces naturally . and the mc has pure yang or whatever , just assume he is alpha so his yang is more in both quality and quantity than the normal person or cultivator . plus he has the phoenix with him which should help him a bit as well .

Once again don't let any girl boss around him like..he save a girl and. That girl act childish and MC give his treasures to increase her cultivation and teaches som heaven defying techniques..Rubbish..Every novel and fanfiction do this kind of thing..they think that MC can't handle when he provokes some elders..who in the right mind would go provoke powerful people without having power to protect himself(exclude those friendship power fools).. Intelligent people like Su Meng would never do any thing that is out of his reach the way I understand him.. so please he is the one helping them not the reverse.. Don't let him boss around by them..

Well, this should show that Su Meng is far from helpless, and something of an insane genius type. It should also show that he's perfectly capable of being a nice and polite guy, as long as you aren't being an antagonistic douche. Or trying to kill/cripple him. Honestly, is proper duel etiquette really that rare? But the super genius thing? Absolutely true since he managed to do his own form of Doppelganger with Spear Intent. That he did this without any treasures and only talent and skill alone would blow their minds, or actually... I think he actually did? His Spear looks like a normal spear, but he's cultivated with it and used spear intent enough that it's basically his personal treasure now. Equivalent to those Natal Weapons in other Xianxia's, or w/e they're called.
